The insert for this game is perfect. Everything was prebagged in it's correct spot before I even opened it. The board right on top and holds everything inside. A prime example of how you should produce inserts. 4 Thumbs up :)

I've already commented twice about this game's art and design. It all looks nice and now i want even more to try it out instead of fairly often played Ticket to Ride in our group.

This game would be super eye candy with 3D buildings for everyone. If it does well maybe they can come out with a $$ add on with the plastic buildings.

+David Fish Oh yeah, they should really do a version with plastic 3D buildings. Otherwise there is not much atmosphere in that game...

Looks great. Definitely a good alternative to Ticket, or a perfect complement to it.

    Thanks for the overview.
It's interesting that no one had any issues with blocking in their summaries. I can't stand these games with optional blocking where you are mostly doing your own thing and then someone decides to cut you off. I just find it too stressful. I'd rather the game be openly aggressive or mostly not at all. Ticket to Ride and Splendor feel the same to me. I find it pretty odd that "light" games feature this so frequently and no one has any issues with it.

how does this compare to Urbania, which you also said was similar to Ticket to Ride and is also about constructing buildings?

I actually really enjoy this game. I like it better than TTR and I'm surprised it's not placing higher on BGG.

I am getting more of a Splendor feel than a Ticket to Ride feel. The reserving spots to get to bigger buildings and eventually bonuspoints is a lot like how you play Splendor. Also reserving cards to build up to bigger cards and more points. The map of NY is just a grid... But this looks interesting.

I had not watched this vid before as I wasn't sure it was a game I would like but I was not sure exactly what it entirely entailed, as I figured from the cover art it was about construction and property buying or something which isn't really high on my personal list of interesting game subjects.
I think it does look interesting and I'm always looking for gifts for friends and one friend likes monopoly and Dallas show and this sort of game he might like as its about (sparely) property buyers and builders and trying to control the best real estate areas.
Anyway, when I first saw the box art and they said it was about constructing buildings, I presumed in my imagination that it would have 3 dimensional levels of parts of buildings ya assembled as ya went, and ya would have actual buildings that stood up off the "land". I will say I'm disappointed that they are just flat little tiles ya lay down.
I'm waiting for the 3-D deluxe version lol. (I think I will be waiting a long time as this was several years ago now)

How does this compare to Penny Press? or maybe Steam Park?

You forgot to mention that once you demo a building it is out of the game. You can't rebuild a demolished building. I agree with Zee it's good but it doesn't scream excitement.

From CSI: "Expected Release: January 2016"
So, don't expect to be buying this anytime soon.

BlueOrangeUSA I'm glad CSI has a pre-order available, but why doesn't anyone else? Wish MiniatureMarket did! Do you know why nobody else does?

Randy Bieri Online retailers don't buy direct from us, they go through our third party distributors. Hopefully as more storefronts become aware of the game, more options will become available to you.

Randy Bieri In the game industry it is very difficult even for publishers to have accurate arrival dates which is why most just mention what quarter it will be arriving in. Case in point the OP posted a January 2016 release date as per cool stuff and now apparently it will be released in August from the looks of it. Usually its the other way around and shows up later than expected. Miniature Market probably was playing it safe until closer in.

I am surprised that they did not mention the rule book. I found it to be one of the worse ones I have come across. It is very poorly organized, doesn't define what things are, and provides very few examples.
