Last Saturday my husband and I were invited to a wedding. And I used your Pearl palette and with some tricks learned from you and Mel Thomson I really loved my makeup. I felt I looked good without looking “done”. My husband told me I looked beautiful and that was really lovely, so thank you. ☺️
So true Marie M. Wayne is a beautiful person, he has a gorgeous face and his soul shines through his words of kindness and wisdom. Many, many thanks Wayne for your videos, I've learned great tips about makeup. In my case I have not felt beautiful for at least a good twenty-five years, minimum.
I think he's handsome. Love his eye coloring. I just subscribed and am thrilled with everything I am learning from Wayne. I stopped wearing makeup cuz of wearing masks/menopause. A TERRIBLE combination. I began wearing cosmetics again early this summer and was shocked in a bad way with the results. In the past whenever I applied makeup...was satisfied with results and sometimes thrilled... never unhappy with the face in the mirror until recently. I tried every trick in my toolbox to no avail... can't believe how much I aged.. . I just lost my mom in April due to 20 years of Alzheimer's. I was her full-time caretaker for past decade.. finally had to admit her to a home.. something I promised her I would never do.. but the disease had advanced to the point that there was no choice. .visited daily for hours. Then covid hit and could only see her 15 minutes a week. The guilt still ravages me. Thanks to God for my husband and son. Then I turned 59 last month and realized it was time to relearn techniques and colors for an older woman. I lost some confidence especially when I took a mirror outside in full sunlight after applying my face... it was devastating 🥺its like a decade of stress and anxiety suppressed for years erupted on my face overnight. I bought very expensive foundations, barely used powder, lighter lip color cuz my full lips got skinny with tiny lines all around them...the reds/maroons I loved made me look hard (sigh). I have been obsessively watching Wayne and Robert Welsh techniques for older faces. Wayne, you are a savior to me. You have given me confidence back...been getting lots of compliments regarding my appearance again...even from young girls..they are a tough crowd. Some of my extended family and friends I don't see often, ask if I had work done. 🙃 I tell them about you. Thank you.
@@debcollins8231 I am so sorry to hear about losing your mom... it is not easy - this I know. But, you are right on schedule! I have had to completely relearn how to do this now 64 year old face! Lockdown for me has been an education in makeup application and skin care for mature women ( and men I suppose too) - Wayne & Mel and Angie Hot & Flashy along with Melissa at younique have taught me so much... PattiRxstarMom and MargaretSixty & Me have taught me how to be gracefully growing older, Heather Awesomeover 50 has been a kindred sister to us all with style& fashion - kind people sharing their knowledge with us all... not to mention the younger gals who have excellent tips as well... it is a wonderful community... but... especially Wayne who gives us all so much ....
@@reikiwithcary2682 Thank you so much for sharing sources. You are so right about remaining stylish in our 60s. I have learned so much on the internet. Especially from people like you who are kind enough provide much-needed guidance. I want to age gracefully. It really is starting from square one. Even though in my entire 50s there was no time to primp and prep I am glad to have kept up with skincare. I recently left my dermatologist's with a script for Retin A. Again thank you so much for your go-to sources and will be checking them out. 🙂
Your beauty, Wayne, shines through your dedication to helping others realize their beauty. YOUR techniques help me and countless others around the world feel better about themselves. I tried your last youthful eyeshadow tutorial and I felt gorgeous because of YOU. Wayne Goss, you are truly a wonderful person. I simply adore you. ❤️😘
I concur. Your words are so considerate and lovely. You're one of those beautiful from the inside out type of person (even when you can't see it, others can!) "Shine bright like a diamond!!!" 🌈🌟💎🌟🌈
I haven’t felt beautiful in a while either and when you asked it made me cry.. I can’t remember the last time someone told me much less believed them. But I last told my kitty she was beautiful about an hour ago haha I always greet her by saying hey beautiful and she always responds happily 💗
You’re right. Answering your question for myself is so difficult. I’m a mental health therapist, one who emphasizes beauty and self-care in every session I have with my clients. But for myself, I can’t answer your question because I don’t think I’ve ever felt truly beautiful. On a side note, I found your channel through my hunt of videos to help me do my makeup better, like most who find you. With this video, I’m a subscriber for life. The message is beauty, even if I don’t believe in that for myself. You ARE beautiful, Wayne.
Once I stopped looking for approval from others, especially from my husband of 15 years, I found that I have always felt beautiful to myself. We often look to others, our loved ones be it family or friends, for reassurance about ourselves because of our insecurities. But more often than not, their honesty can be hurtful. Thankfully, I’m older and wiser, and I no longer look to others for affirmation. I am learning to love myself more each day because I know that my life is precious and I only have one chance at it. And living each day with that thought makes me feel unique and beautiful! It opens my mind to the beauty in me that was always there!
When I turned 50. I felt and looked beautiful. Then I had health problems and am no longer in shape. I think if you exercise and eat right, you feel better about yourself and it shows outwardly. Love you! 😘
I think you are beautiful Wayne. Love how you speak with a kind heart and, love watching your handsome face in your weekly videos. I am 70. Last week, I went to a new hair stylist who gave me a great cut and told me I was beautiful. I told him he was full of shit but appreciated his comment and great haircut none the less.
I love using the word beautiful when complimenting other people, whether I'm talking about their appearance, heart, actions, mind, etc. I know that as I age my definition of how "feeling beautiful" has changed. It's less rigid. Less focused on what's not right in my appearance and more focused on what is and my internal reaction to it. BTW, thanks for being one of the beautiful souls on this platform. You make beauty a kinder, more lovely space.
I have always struggled with seeing physical beauty in myself. But I feel internal beauty everytime I get a chance to be in nature. I feel very fortunate when I get the chance to take a hike or sit by a pond and experience nature. I have a job that can be very ugly at times and getting the chance to enjoy nature is extremely uplifting to me. Beauty surrounds us we just have to look. Wayne your beauty shines in your videos.
I see beauty in so many friends & family but don’t see it in myself. I get told I’m beautiful by friends but I find it hard to believe. I can do my makeup and say I’m having a good makeup day but I never look at myself and say I’m beautiful. Thank you for this talk, I do believe more people need to look at themselves and realize how beautiful they truly are.
@@PinCushionQueen thank you and you’re beautiful too 💜 I truly believe that women need to be supportive and lift each other up instead of being critical!! Thank you!!
I relate to this so much. I too, struggle with feeling beautiful. I try to always compliment others and have no problem telling others they are beautiful.
I felt beautiful today when I was walking- I didn’t think of it at the time, but when I’m interacting with Nature, I feel the most lovely and vibrant and it doesn’t have anything to do with my outward appearance. Thank you for your straightforward approach to looking our best outwardly - I just love your down to earth and yet sensitive way of demonstrating. What a beautiful soul you are! What a great question- I hope you see the beauty in yourself each and every day.
I would say, maybe when I was in my late 30's, I'm 61 now, I felt beautiful at times. I don't dislike myself now, I just don't feel beautiful. I tell my daughter she's beautiful, whenever I see something in or about someone I mention it. I seldom have that around me and I know how good it would feel to hear it. Love you Wayne, take care🌞❤
Telling your daughter she's beautiful and telling others aswell shows what a beautiful person you are. Making others feel good about themselves, especially a daughter is really important and doing that out of love and the kindness of your heart is truly a beautiful thing ❤️
Answering your question, I don’t think ever. I have depression/anxiety and therapy my entire life. I can always see beauty in others. That said, I alway keep trying. Thank you Wayne, you’re wonderful.
@@upmayo9741 you too Up Mayo? I was always the first one home from school. My daddy had horrible major depression. I found him. I was only 14. The scene was extremely bad. I guess I was in shock for many years and therapy to this day. It helps but, I guess once that happens to you. My life changed that very moment. And, so I love to watch Wayne’s wonderful videos. I forget and just watch Wayne like I’m in class and there’s the beauty I see.
Wayne, I’m so sad that you don’t feel beautiful because every single time I see your face I am struck by your beauty! And your personality… Perfect 10, honey! I do think that certain people only see their own flaws. I’m one of those people. I don’t feel beautiful without makeup on and even then, I am insecure. Something to work on, I guess. Thank you for starting this conversation.
Deep Question... thank you for YOUR BEAUTIFUL SPIRIT and GENEROSITY of sharing yourself. It takes COURAGE to show vulnerability, compassion and consistency. Not to mention you really are a beautiful specimen of a man! 💖💖💖💯‼
Also...it's been a very long time since I was told...however it may be that I wither push it away or choose not to hear it. It is wrong of me to do so as feeling and being honestly told I have beauty is such a lovely gift.
My husband or one of my children tells me daily I'm beautiful. Felt beautiful? Fairly recently honestly. Using your tips for putting on my makeup I looked quite good imho. Love your videos always something helpful in them
Oh Mr Goss, our most generous, kind and adorable, inside and out Mr Goss. You really hit a very hidden but very raw nerve with me. So much so, I actually cried. I've never felt "beautiful". Always passable and ok, but never beautiful. I told my wonderfully unique daughter she is beautiful today. She really is beautiful, in every way possible. Crikey Mr Goss, I can't stop crying. Sorry. I do love you, your energy, your ethics and your honesty. And your uplifting wink 😉. 💜💜
Well you made me feel beautiful the other day with your last video after I tried the eyeshadow trick. I told my sister she looked beautiful yesterday and you could tell it lit a light up inside her and it was true. I often think someone is beautiful but rarely tell them if I don’t know them but maybe I may start from now on because it can make someone’s day a little bit better can’t it... when I sit down at my mirror to get ready for the day I always say “good morning beautiful” as a little mantra type thing. It plants a seed I think and helps me embrace the day even when I’m SO not feeling it
Wayne, you shine brightly to all! Thank you for your transparency. My husband tells me I’m beautiful and it’s special. When my 16 year old daughter gives me a compliment, I “feel” it as she does not compliment “for no reason”. HA! Ironically, I changed my makeup look a bit last week and she noticed immediately and said, “Mom, your eye makeup looks great”. I replied, “thank you, Wayne’s tutorials have helped”. My 79 year old Mother is absolutely stunning on the inside and outside. No one believes her age and she radiates charm, style grace and beauty!
I can see beauty in everyone else, but not myself either. My husband tells me every single day I am beautiful, but I can’t remember the last time I felt beautiful.
I'm look at your profile picture and I think you are quite gorgeous. It's so hard to see it in yourself tho. Especially as we age it seems like. And God bless your hubby for reminding you! You y a lucky woman to have a man that appreciates your beauty. My BF wouldn't notice of I came home tomorrow with platinum blonde hair. 😂 Lol.
I hear you. It is a form of dysmorphia brought on my childhood trauma & media, & probably even years of dating I hear you. Have you taken a day to just experience being you? I know this sounds daft, but it helped me. I spent 6 days Jul’20 in a cancer post-op. When I came out, I couldn’t even look at myself. Not my face, not my feet. Not the massive Kaiser roll scar on my chest. It was a month before I could actually look at the scars across my chest & through my armpit. I had a childhood of vicious bullying from strangers & my BPD Mum. But somehow, during the recovery weeks after I was able to see & tend to the scars around the stitches, I started listening to makeup & facial skincare video posts. I think it was simply to motivate myself to just wash my face. I bout some of the recommended CeraVe soap & some facial oil to remove the sunscreen I needed to take my dog for her constitutionals. Then one day, in Feb’21, got the first time *in my Life*, I actually enjoyed washing my face. I was rubbing in the cleansing oil & realized, “this feels nice”. It didn’t feel resentful, angry or disgusted the way it had my entire Life. I was *enjoying massaging the oil into my face* have you tried… finding a meditative way to experience enjoying selfcare?
@@gypsysnickerdoodle4354 As long as the scars are initially healed, rub vitamin E into them every day. It really works. A friend of my dad’s was injured by a chain saw across the top of his hand and a year later, you could hardly tell he had been injured; he told me it was because of the vitamin E. Unless you want to keep the scars of course; some people like to have them to remind themselves of what they’ve fought through. 👍🏻
I rarely feel beautiful. What I see in the mirror or pictures is NOT what I see. I've been give compliments alot but I find it hard to accept them. I do tell them thank you but often end it with but....or an excuse. I have tried so hard to have my husband notice me. Even after losing about 50lbs he still never says anything. Never anything bad but that's the message I get when he says nothing.
Lipstick as blush is a really old fashioned thing - my mom and her older sister, who were teenagers in the 40s and 30s respectively, always did it. Some of those old tricks really work!
Dearest Wayne, first I want to tell you that you look good with or without make-up. As my knowledge of human nature is somewhat trained, I think you must be a lovely person, I deduce that from your outward calmness. Your eyes also tell me that you have a good soul. - I'm 62 and I know I look a little younger than that. My husband tells me almost every day that he thinks I look good, but I don't feel good until I have makeup on. I've been putting on make-up for a good 44 years, since I started working, and it's now part of my daily routine. I'm not myself when I'm not wearing make-up. - But you can't cover your inner self with foundation, you have to work on yourself to be the person that matches your assumed outer beauty. With that in mind, let's compete to be radiant. xx
The last 2mins of this video…this is why I love you! I came for the makeup tutorials and have learned so much from you but the little one liners you pepper through your videos like “use whatever setting spray you like, as long as you love it” is what keeps me coming back, and the reason I come here when I want to absorb something uplifting. Your chanel has become one of my happy places here on TH-cam. What an inspiration you are🥰 keep it up good Sir, we love you for it😘 and to answer your question…(this is not the only time), but every time I watch one of your videos I feel beautiful. You remind me to love, respect and care for myself and that the external is such a small part of who we truly are💛
I'm blessed that my husband is always telling me I'm beautiful because it helps to lift my spirit and confidence. Day to day I don't feel beautiful but I have a distinct memory of feeling beautiful on my last trip to Scotland in 2018. We had been outside so much and the fresh air, sunshine, and rest made me feel beautiful inside and out. I would like to recapture that moment more often. And thanks for the great tips today. I have very large pores and struggle to apply foundation (however lightly) because it seems to sink into the pores. I'm going to try this technique and see if I get a better result.
Wayne, the time that stands out in my mind was at my dad’s funeral. My brother looked at me and said, “Daddy was right, you really are beautiful.” Although I didn’t agree, it was definitely a confidence booster from two men I loved.
The last time I felt beautiful was when a friend helped me with a photo shoot of myself. He was showing me the photos on his camera screen quickly, he said, "That one! That's YOU!" I said, "Wow, it really is." So, my beauty that we agreed upon was the photo that showed my personality the most authentically.
I haven’t felt beautiful in probably over a year. I’m recovering from a burnout and long covid. This is also the reason for also finding your wonderful channel. You are beautiful on the inside and out!! Thank you for asking and helping us on our journeys.
Like you, I find beauty easier to find in others than in myself. I don't remember the last time I felt beautiful. I know that someone at my son's school said I looked "nice" the other day. (That is the closest I can remember to being told I look "beautiful") I told a stranger a few days ago, that I loved her dress and matching tights, and that she look great. She seemed so very happy. Greetings from Sweden!
Yesterday, I did something very special with my concealer and powder. It looked so flawless under my eye, which is a problem area for me. I tried to do the same today, but it does t look the same at all! But yesterday, it seemed uniform in color and somehow didn’t wrinkle in all my creases and crowsfeet as well. I am a senior aged woman, but I looked so much younger, fresher. It didn’t look like makeup, either, looked so natural, and my eyes really looked beautiful.
I agree with you Wayne! I sometimes see beauty in myself but not in a fully whole way. I like myself generally but I know I can be a better, smarter, more attractive person in general. I think we are our own worst critics! I tell people all the time about their inner and outer beauty. Uplifting others is very important 😊
My fave old artists trick is to only use product (base) whether concealer or a stick or whatever you have on hand only where you actually need it. Seamless skin technique. Less really is more. Buff it in well to the skin, warm up a stick product on your hand a little first , press in & then buff, take a damp beauty sponge and pounce off any excess. I like pressing in my powders in a similar fashion with a powder puff & then buff with nothing added or a finishing powder at the very end. I also find if working with really oily skin -Makeup forever: shine control primer-which can be used very sparingly under makeup ,but also as a “blotting” technique on top during the day-fantastic product when used correctly! A lot of warmth of hands, pressing, buffing & proper skin prep for your skin type & age makes a world of difference in makeup look & longevity . Regular, bi/weekly chemical exfoliating to keep pores clear & skin smooth. 2 thin layers of Sunscreen in the day, reapply with spray or powder & proper cleansing in the evenings , I like to double cleanse & in general just good skincare practices like applying moisturizer on damp skin. Retinoids at night. If your mascara smudges or clumps run a loose setting powder on your lashes with a clean spoolie before application. Works wonders. Same with lipstick - apply, line, blot with tissue then brush a light dusting of powder (translucent) & then reapply your lipstick. This isn’t necessary with liquids obviously but works especially well with satin Creme formulations that are more hydrating. Powder really is a multitasker. I hope some of my tried & true tricks will help somebody! You are beautiful! P.S. I always have a palette for mixing, spatula, but most importantly a few tubes of primary colour drops/pigment pastes ( look like little tubes of paint) to ensure your very best shade match. I always carry white /black/red/green to have at the ready, they come cheap. You can remedy any foundation mismatch with this method . Nothing more distracting than a poor shade match or incorrect undertone ruining all of your hard work. I’ll shut up now! 😘
@@PinCushionQueen Awe, thank you Jen for the wonderful tip’s!!! I will try everything. One thing. My lips are always dry. I’m the one that always had chapstick in my pocket in school. So, dry lips forever. I’m a little worried about the powder but, I will give it a go for a trial. Thanks again Jen. Very kind.
@@aribaaftab9023 Good lip sleeping mask or petroleum jelly -if that works for you-at night & prep using one before makeup application, plus using a hydrating powder will act more as a humectant than an oil absorber. Remember to gently swipe a gentle chemical exfoliant across the lips twice a week to help with cell turnover. Hope these added tips help, I too suffer from easily flaky & dry lips when I don’t take these extra steps. Oh, and the biggest tip of all for lips is wearing an spf balm as often as possible. The skin is so thin it needs that extra protection and over time I’ve noticed a much rosier, healthier look to my lips with regular use. I like Jack Black.
For the longest time I never felt beautiful. People would tell me that I was and I just didn't see what they were seeing. I started watching your videos and I found myself having confidence just putting on makeup. After a few years some things in my life changed and I started having a little more self-confidence and with that little bit of self-confidence I would look in the mirror and tell myself that I wasn't an ugly person and that I was beautiful. I did this for well over a year until I actually started to see it myself. It was with the same process of telling myself that I was a good person and I deserve good things. I no longer care if the rest of the world thinks I'm an ugly duckling because I'm going to believe in myself and hold my head high like a swan. As far as my friends.... I tell them that I love them and what it means to have them in my life and how amazing they are but it never occurred to me to comment on their beauty both inside and out. Your question made me realize that I need to tell my friends that they're beautiful and handsome. They need to know that they're just as beautiful on the outside as they are on the inside.
Last time I felt actually BEAUTIFUL..1986. I had long “Cher” hair, perfect outfit..I walked into the disco and Gloria Gaynor was on stage singing “I will survive”…a gorgeous guy I had always admired asked me to dance. Never forgot that out of body experience of actually feeling perfect and beautiful. And I did survive!🤪❤️
I have never felt beautiful, I see no beauty in my appearance at all. Nobody has ever told me I was beautiful either. I do see lots of beauty around me & always ensure I compliment as often as possible. I want to inspire confidence in this over judgemental world we live. You are beautiful Wayne ❤
Thank you for your words Wayne, your authenticity is beautiful and my absolute favourite thing about you! The last time I told someone they were beautiful was right after my friend had her baby, she had that proud new mama glow 🧡 And the last time I felt beautiful was on a beach date with my bf at the time. No makeup or nice outfit, just the way he looked at me that day, his compliments on my smile, my presence, my energy etc... it just boosted my confidence up sooo high.. and stayed, even after we broke up. Sometimes it isn't about being told you are beautiful, but *how* you are beautiful to them, that means the most
I feel beautiful after sitting at my beauty desk and playing with makeup. Honestly I feel more beautiful with no makeup on only when I have a tan, but now I'm a good girl and I wear sunscreen after starting Tretonoin I am struggling with being pale because ive always had colour. My husband tells me I'm beautiful all the time, I tell my daughters who are 7 and 12 they are beautiful virtually everyday... because they are inside and out. Wayne you are a beautiful soul and a very handsome guy, I'll be honest I've been watching you for years and years and you did get dangerously thin at one point, but now I think your bloody perfection tbh!! I adore you and everything you do, I'll buy some of your makeup one day lol lots of love Vici xx
Hello Mr. Wayne. Thank you for opening this dialogue. I have been very blessed with the beautiful people I care about telling me I am beautiful too; but, I only truly feel it when I am alone now. Before the anxiety and depression, I had a chip on my shoulder when I was younger, I'm sure. Now in my mid-thirties, I try to find something everyday about myself that brings me joy. If I take my hair down and it curls, it makes me feel cute for example. The longer I think about it and focus on it, the happier I become. I think that you can train yourself to think you are beautiful. Accepting that thought and realizing it as true is the harder part.
Wayne! You are one of the most beautiful people I know…..and I go way back with you, to the start of your You Tube career. You are not alone in having a difficult time in feeling beautiful…… We are our own worst critics! This is part of the human condition, is it not? But you, Wayne, help us all find that beauty inside……. Whether or not we can give ourselves the credit for it. For that we are all eternally grateful to you. You bring a sense of reality and common sense to makeup, something that is sadly lacking in other channels. You provide a much needed service to humanity….. and for that we, (especially me) are eternally grateful. Thank you for being your beautiful self.
beauty is in the eye of the beholder.the true beauty is whats inside of our heart..outside beauty for me is just to have confidence in urself and how u carry urself.
Words of wisdom from the GOAT! Just started pressing in post setting spray and it's a game changer !!! Thank you! ETA: I last felt beautiful and was told when I was a wedding guest about 25 years ago. Virtual hugs to all who aren't able to recognize or feel their unique beauty!
Wayne, like you, I honestly don't know when I last felt beautiful. But I frequently tell other women that they look beautiful. Even women I don't know. I love to do this, and often seek out women who maybe I don't think are beautiful in the way our world judges beauty, but it looks like they made an effort to look the best they can. I love the look on their faces when I tell women how pretty they look or that they look beautiful! I don't do this because I think it makes me some kind of great person. I do this because it geniuinely makes me feel good and I hope it brings some joy to the woman. I did this this past Sunday at church. I think it's so important to always lift other women up. Thank you for doing this! I love it!
It's been 32 years. Even though I'm not much to look at, I have so very much to be thankful for with 2 sons that I am very close to. Wayne, you're a lovely and kind soul and to me, handsome. Love your videos.
You are truly beautiful, Wayne. To answer your question, I have never felt beautiful. I do find beauty in others and thanks to you, I will tell people that they are beautiful more. ❤
Many people have told me I am beautiful. This has been true my whole life. I heard it so often that took it for granted. I experienced a lot of tragedies in my middle-aged years. I got depressed and complacent. I gained a lot of weight and was not taking care of myself. I no longer felt I deserved kind compliments. I decided to take control of me again at age 60. I started eating better. I then restarted a good skin care routine and to wear makeup again (I had been a MUA in my younger years). After a few months, I felt like I glowed for the first time in years. Wayne - You were a part to my mental reset. I started watching makeup videos during the COVID lockdowns. Boredom ruled! I did not connect with most of the “beauty gurus”
Last time I felt beautiful was even I actually took the time to do my hair and makeup for no reason. Watching my passion for makeup returning is the best. This was 2 weeks ago. I did my sister makeup and hair. Then I had the honor of doing my best friend's bridal makeup and she was stunning. I love seeing the reaction they give after getting everything done. FYI Wayne your soul and external beauty is amazing. I stay watching your videos because your so naturally handsome. Your eye color pops always.
How kind of you to start this conversation, Wayne. It has taken a long time for me to finally admit I am beautiful. I hope you can one day get there too. Having a chronic, life-threatening illness, I def have less glamorous days, where it doesn’t seem like I am but it’s in those moments I think that I’m at my MOST beautiful because my soul shines through whatever pain I’m experiencing at that time. A few years ago, at my aunt & uncle’s 50th anniversary party, I said “hey, Beautiful” to a friend & later discovered until I had said that, this particular person was having a very rough time. But I called her “beautiful”, which turned things around for her & we will both always recall that moment. It was lovely & I just wanted to share ❤️.
I’m a married gal, been married for awhile now (love it), but my husband hasn’t told me I looked/look beautiful in a very long time. I feel inner beauty on the daily, I try to look good almost every day. I’m saying this to say, it’s been a while since I felt beautiful. Thank you for making me aware, somehow realizing I need to feel beautiful more now than ever. These crazy times, we are ALL trying to navigate through, changing my work world (I’m now working from home due to COVID ) I work in the legal field. Getting older is creating a whole new perspective for what constitutes looking or feeling beautiful. I LOVE your videos and I LOVE everything you teach us. You are beautiful! You have that inner and outer beauty that radiates. That’s what I wish for. I’m happy about your new endeavors, I love you shadows, and other things you’ve created ( in addition to being your brushes fan) I’m going to feel beautiful again. I just know that. Keep making us products and keep teaching us how to us them effectively. I love you, I’ve been a fan/ follower for a very long time. I’m looking forward to may more years. 😍❤️🤩💄👑
First - I have to say thank you Wayne. You teach all of us, what each product is and how to use it. Not just "put shadow A here and cream b there. You allow us to take what you have given us and make OUR look. Thank you.
I haven’t felt beautiful since I took my profile pic in June of 2019. I was going to a wedding rehearsal dinner. As a makeup artist, I used to tell people they were beautiful all the time. I think when I have that “vision” I can find beauty in absolutely everyone. Unfortunately I have had several major back surgeries which has forced me to be on bed rest and not working. Excellent conversation starter!
I agree with you Wayne. However, as I don’t feel beautiful outwardly I do feel beautiful inwardly. I give a lot of my life to others as I have worked in healthcare the last ten years. I think your beautiful Wayne outwardly and I feel like you are inside as well at least what comes through on your videos. I’ve been watching you for years and I felt that way the first time I saw you. God bless my beautiful friend 🙏❤️🙏
Today, I tell to myself that I am beautiful and felt it!! We see beauty everywhere and in each one of us, you are beautiful Wayne and you who see this message « You are beautiful because of you». Breathe life is short 😘😘 And very very nice video!
I think everyone has inner beauty but, some of are uncertain if they have outside beauty... I'm not sure of the last time I was told I was beautiful, or the last time I felt beautiful. The last 5 years have been difficult. My Dad was diagnosed with cancer & he lived for 18 months, but I didn't take good care of myself while I took care of him. Then my husband has had a number of health issues & surgeries. Then it was my health... But I've found a new interest in makeup & am enjoying what I'm learning from a number of you tubers. Your videos have taught me so much! Please know how beautiful you are & how much you are appreciated!
I feel beautiful when my makeup and hair is done. I love to dress up as well that always makes me feel beautiful. I don't feel beautiful when I home pale faced in pj's but just yesterday my husband told me I was beautiful to him ALL THE TIME with or without makeup. He knows I struggle with feeling beautiful without external things (makeup, clothes, high heels, ect.) I've recently been going through a little weight gain and hormonal issues so he tries to reassure me. Wayne you have an inner beauty simply for the fact that you get on you tube and try to help others feel and look their best. Don't think that's a small thing because its not. Thank you for all you do 😘
My partner told me I was beautiful about 6 weeks ago when we attended a wedding. I'm a mental health practitioner and I'm always in jeans, trainers and a t shirt. It's had been a long time since I had worn a dress because I feel really self conscious but I was glad he said it because it made me feel really good. Wayne you are beautiful, I have watched you for years so I've witnessed your growth as a person and its been wonderful to see, you always want to help people feel their best and your personality is beautiful, you are also very easy on the eye ❤❤❤
Thank you so much Wayne for your advices, and also for starting this conversation. True, I cannot say when was the last time I felt beautiful. I can say «my make up is not so bad today, I look ok» og «this clothes improve my look/ enhance a part of my body» but not «you are beautiful». And also I seldom say so to others, I can say «you are a beautiful person inside, a good person» but about the outside it will be «you are wearing a nice dress, you look nice» The word beautifull in its full meaning is not so often used. Let’s change that. You are a beautiful Wayne 😊💗😊
I recently came across your Anti-Aging Eyeshadow Tutorial, and I felt BEAUTIFUL right after I followed you and looked at my new Eye look! Bellissima Wayne, my husband always compliments my makeup and calls me beautiful, he's also not afraid to tell me when I have been a wee bit heavy-handed. That just makes me want to learn more about applications and the tips from Pro MU like yourself. You have like all things have to work at finding your own beauty, and learn how to not only look good on the outside but from the inside as well. You are a wonderful Tutor. I practice this eye look almost every day...TY for always making what seems Unattainable, Attainable...Huge HUGS!
I’m working on finding myself beautiful, I find it more often now than I used to. I try to tell it to my mom sometimes (but I should do it more often), and it is sad a lot of people don’t see their own beauty. My boyfriend is a confident person and he knows he looks good, but recently I’ve been telling him more often how I think he looks great (handsome/beautiful) and pointing those things out and he likes it, you can tell he lights up. I do believe there’s beauty in everyone. Some people might think it’s vain to think about physical beauty but I do think it’s a common, natural thing to want to feel beautiful. Wayne, I think you are beautiful both physically and mentally/your personality, you seem very genuine and like a kind person
I can't remember the last time IF EVER I felt beautiful. But the last time I told someone they were beautiful was yesterday. I don't believe I am or have ever been beautiful. You... on the other hand...are BEAUTIFUL!! IN EVERY WAY!! SO BEAUTIFUL!!
As you made me think & I’m writing this, I feel incredibly sad. Because the last time I *truly* felt beautiful was about 15 years ago, despite my husband daily telling me how beautiful I am. I haven’t felt it since, due to health issues & the way my looks have changed. I have 2 teen daughters & a younger son. I tell my daughters every day how beautiful they are, as does my husband, and how beautiful they are on the inside (which I explain to them is so much more important that externally, and always have said the same) but they are truly beautiful girls on the outside too. Yet neither of them feel it 😢 this causes me such sadness for them, I tell my son the same. How handsome he is, as does everyone who meets my children. But, no matter what is said to you, these feelings can only come from within. To a large extent, I do blame ‘societies expectations’ & how much beauty/social media has grown based most of the time in all genres, (not just beauty channels) as to what’s considered beautiful, or not. I only hope that as they grow into young ladies, they can see within them, (and outside) one day, what everyone else sees. You too are beautiful Wayne. You’re a beautiful soul & that comes through in your looks. You look like David beckham for goodness sake! You’re a 10 all the way. I hope you too can one day feel what we see in your appearance & about you. Much love o
Honestly, it's been a while, but I'm 9 months pregnant and right now I just feel tired. But I'm planning on buying your newest Pearl pallette and I'm going to spend some time playing and helping myself to feel beautiful. But my husband tells me I'm beautiful all the time and I love hearing it even if I don't always agree. I love so much how gentle and kind you are to all of us. You have a beautiful soul and a beautiful face. Much love!!!
A lovely question from a beautiful man. I felt beautiful laughing with my sons, 19 and 21 who look so much like my handsome father, long gone and missed. People tell me they both have my cheekbones and eyes, especially eyebrows, lol! They are so beautiful, inside and out, it gets me teary eyed sometimes.
Th last time I felt beautiful was 5 years and 9 months ago, before I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I’ve lost so much but at least I am still able to see the beauty in others and Wayne, you are BEAUTIFUL!!!
When you ask that question I automatically was thinking external. I’m going to say the last time that I actually felt beautiful was in my early 40’s. I’m 58 now and although I look the same just a bit older I’m having a hard time with it. It’s hard getting older in the external.
I feel you sister! At 42 I look decent I guess but it's hard not to compare myself to younger prettier ppl or even the younger prettier version of myself from my twenties. You are not alone but if you are watching Wayne's videos you are probably still trying to look your best and that is important when it comes to feeling your best. Best wishes!
I very rarely am told I am beautiful on the outside, but lots of times I am told I am beautiful on the inside. My husband tells me I look sharp sometimes - so I take that as he thinks I am beautiful. I think you are beautiful inside & out Wayne. I have watched you for years & have always thought that!
I always make sure I tell people they are beautiful!! Beauty comes from the inside to the outside . It comes in many shapes and sizes. I always see the beauty in everyone!!! I am blessed ! My boss told me, not everyone is like you ,not everyone can see the beauty and good in people!! There is beauty in everyone!!!! I see your beauty!! God bless yall!!
Wayne I would think most of us feel like you! I rarely feel beautiful on the outside, I know I am on the inside! But I see beauty in others! Like you! ♥️
I struggle to find the beauty in myself inside and out, but my husband tells me all the time that HE thinks I'm beautiful, so thats all that matters, is that my husband finds me attractive/beautiful lol. But yes, everyone wants to feel beautiful 😍
As soon as I heard your question I honed in on the memory of when I last time felt beautiful, but just as fast as that memory came to mind it was followed by overpowering fear and shame. I instantly felt bad for feeling beautiful when I was hearing you speak about not being able to feel or see the beauty in yourself. It’s so odd, I believe it is harder for most of us see the beauty in ourselves, than it is to see it in others, but I did not realize how much of an impact shame was playing in my experience. When I look at you I see so much beauty, warmth and vitality! If you can’t see that in yourself and your so amazing, is my ability to feel beautiful expressing that I think I’m better than you? Of course not! But I had to very carefully breakdown the feeling of shame to get there. I think life gives us an opportunity to do the work every day to become the person we would like to be, it’s a good thing because we need the practice.
I always feel better when I look better, so applying makeup is a big confidence booster. I wouldn’t say I feel beautiful but I know I look good for what I have to work with. (Weight issues…so it’s hard to feel beautiful even when my face might look it) I tell people quite often that they’re beautiful, and I’m told it fairly often from my other half. It’s always nice to hear but if you don’t believe it then it doesn’t mean much because you find yourself thinking they’re saying it just to say it… that they don’t actually mean it. But that’s a whole other topic on confidence etc. Love your videos Wayne!
I find that adding any powder at all to my skin immediately makes me look cakey 😂 I try to apply as little foundation as possible with some setting spray on top. I wish I could make the powder work!
Wayne, first I’d like to thank you for doing this because you’ve really made me do some soul searching in order to answer your question. I have to tell you first though that I see so much beauty in you - inside and out. Your videos help so many people to feel good about themselves and you have a very warm demeanor and soothing voice. You truly are beautiful on the outside as well. You’re so handsome. I love watching your videos and you are my absolute favorite person on TH-cam. As for me, I haven’t felt beautiful in 14 years. I tell my daughter that she’s beautiful every time we FaceTime. She’s away at college. I also tell my mom, sister and friends that they’re beautiful often, because they really are - inside and out. For me, when I see or get to know the beauty inside someone, that’s all I really think about. If they’re beautiful on the inside then they’re beautiful on the outside to me. I hope you can see how beautiful we all think you are. Thank you for being you.
Wayne your beauty shines inside and out and you bring joy to so many women by helping us feel beautiful. I get it tho. I tell others they are beautiful all the time and ppl tell me I'm beautiful but I have a very hard time seeing it in myself. At 42 years old I often feel more like I was once beautiful but not so much anymore. I have to say tho that my foundation looks amazing right now thanks to your tips!
The main reason I even do my makeup each morning is to feel beautiful. I don't do it for anyone else. I do it for me!! It's the process of self love & expression. Some days it's glamorous, some days it's natural. I like to switch it up with how I'm feeling. Am I perfect? Certainly NOT!! I have under eye bags, one eye is bigger than the other, cheeks are a little too fluffy & I have a few chins. But those are the things that make me....ME!! And they are beautiful. I feel beautiful EVERY DAY!!
Such an interesting question. I think this is also a challenging question particularly for older generations. I remember as a child being told I was pretty or smart or well-behaved. Describing yourself as beautiful was rather frowned upon as it sounded conceited. You are so right when you say it is so easy to see beauty in others. I make a conscious effort to tell others they are beautiful; whether friends or family. I always try to be specific, eg; one of my friends has beautiful eyes, another is super curvy (which she hates) but I always tell her she looks beautiful because of her curves... I usually feel beautiful when I have done something kind or thoughtful for someone else, whether taking a coffee to a friend when they are feeling really down or just listening to them. Funnily my son was the last person to tell me that I was beautiful...and it was a random comment he just said out of the blue... You are indeed beautiful Wayne; your heart shines through and I find it is true the idiom...beauty comes from within!!!
Thank you for another great tip, Wayne. I remember an old video where you also mentioned that we could mix our foundation with the setting spray first and then apply it, as another method of helping it last longer and to stop it getting less oily. With regards to your question on beauty, I think it's definitely harder to see beauty in ourselves especially if we are naturally shy or introverted and it's just naturally easier to see things in others that we don't, in ourselves. But then again, that could be a whole other bigger topic for another day🙃. Love your videos and the way you've curated a community of people who genuinely trust you and your "no fluff" approach.
As far as feeling beautiful goes, I'm never satisfied with myself. I'm 40 now and have accepted that's just the way I am. I'm lucky with my female work colleagues. They tell me I look beautiful all the time! I appreciate their comments, but I never fully believe them. 🤷🏻♀️ I could sit and watch your tutorials all day. Your passion for your art is so obvious. I've learnt so much from you - thank you Wayne. 🙏⚘
Wayne ur so beautiful , amazing person , I see beauty through u and through all women all over the world and I'm one of them .. u gave me lots of lessons here not only in makeup but with the way ur helping others , caring , loving ur relationship with ur mom ,, those are the real beauty .. god bless u , keep on with what ur doing .. ur a model for a lots of people 🌹
My hubby says I'm beautiful very often. And even my 3 year old has picked up on it and tells me "you're beautiful mommy." It makes me feel good. And I believe that they think so. I don't know that I've ever felt beautiful. Inside or outside. I'm very lucky and surrounded by beautiful people in my life. And I like to think I tell them enough. Love your content.
Before starting TH-cam I honestly can't recall the last time anyone told me that I am beautiful ☹ But, since my channel has started to grow, my fans remind me often!! They are all so amazing and so beautiful themselves. 🥰 I'm not sure that you will read this, but if you do, Wayne you are beautiful!! Both inside, as well as out!! You are amazing and you help so many people!! 😍 Also, the last time I told someone they are beautiful was today!! I tell my 7 year old daughter that nearly every day of her life!! I want to ensure that she knows how beautiful she is!! 🥰
alway give compliments to strangers of their beauty. Being older, I felt I needed more coverage to be pretty. Always learning new tips from you! Thank you Wayne for being such a beautiful friend🤗☀️
Thank you I'll try this method, last time I felt beautiful was three years ago as I have put alot of weight on since first lockdown and I'm finding it soooooo hard to shift, but I'm trying I have lost a stone, but need to shift another two more, but I've plateau, and I tell my daughter, son and close friends there are beautiful inside and out because they are, simple. Gill 🇬🇧 🥰💖😍 xoxo
Yesterday, I told my best friend how beautiful she is. Her soul and heart are the kindest and most down to earth that I have ever known. For me, I feel beautiful every day, putting on my makeup or as I love to call it "getting beautified".
I agree with you Wayne. We are so much harder on ourselves than other people. But I have never felt beautiful but my husband tells me everyday so picked a good one.
Last Saturday my husband and I were invited to a wedding. And I used your Pearl palette and with some tricks learned from you and Mel Thomson I really loved my makeup. I felt I looked good without looking “done”. My husband told me I looked beautiful and that was really lovely, so thank you. ☺️
This is beautiful. Thank you for this story.
Aww.
Oh Wayne, that’s so sad that you don’t see yourself as beautiful as we all see and experience you to be. ❤️
@@sylviepelletier9953 Totally agree with all your statements. Getting older doesn't help in most physical matters.
Lockdown for me has been an education in makeup application and skin care for mature women ( and men I suppose too) - Wayne & Mel and Angie Hot & Flashy along with Melissa at younique
have taught me so much...
100% agree!!! 💜
Well said!
So so right!!!
I concur. Your words are so considerate and lovely. You're one of those beautiful from the inside out type of person (even when you can't see it, others can!) "Shine bright like a diamond!!!" 🌈🌟💎🌟🌈
@@sandramiller3207 Right?!!! I think the original commenter has a very kind way with her words.
Love you! 😘
Completely appreciate. Same happened to me. But need to get back in shape…for health reasons also. Beauty is about feeling content with who we are
Yeah, I fell apart after breast cancer last year
I feel a train wreck, but Wayne helps put me back together
Your comment is the one I could imagine I have written it. X
My Mother always used her lipstick for blush. She kissed the back of her hand after lip application then applied it to her cheeks. Ty 4 sharing.
That's such a great idea! I'm going to try that. It'll give a continuity to the overall look. Thanks for the tip! Brilliant!!!
You are beautiful! Believe it. 😉
@Fatima. Wtf???
You are beautiful. That’s shining from you. 😘
@@bambina3148 Totally agree🙌🏻
Telling your daughter she's beautiful and telling others aswell shows what a beautiful person you are. Making others feel good about themselves, especially a daughter is really important and doing that out of love and the kindness of your heart is truly a beautiful thing ❤️
Just reading these comments has brought tears to my eyes. I haven't even gotten past the makeup part of the video. Reaching for the tissues now...
Answering your question, I don’t think ever. I have depression/anxiety and therapy my entire life. I can always see beauty in others. That said, I alway keep trying. Thank you Wayne, you’re wonderful.
Same 😟
Been there, still doing that!
I think the fact that you always see the beauty in others makes you beautiful yourself 😊💐
@@claremellqvist2646 you too Claire. I’m very sorry.
It plants a seed I think and helps me embrace the day even when I’m SO not feeling it
Gorgeous! Lovely! Beautiful!! That is you Wayne Goss!! In every way possibke!! Inside/out!! You exude loveliness
Wayne your mascara is amazing the best I’ve ever bought! Love it!!
You are beautiful Wayne ❤️
@Fatima
That’s rude
Hi Margaret.. nice to see you here! And I think that you are an beautiful soul as well as Wayne!
@Fatima trying hard to see the beauty in you... your remark says differently...
@Fatima 👈 troll
@Fatima
If you had ever seen one of Margaret’s videos you would know how sincere she was in telling Wayne he was beautiful
I can see beauty in everyone else, but not myself either. My husband tells me every single day I am beautiful, but I can’t remember the last time I felt beautiful.
You look beautiful to me. And if you can see beauty in others, then you're not just beautiful, but wonderful!
😂 Lol.
I hear you. It is a form of dysmorphia brought on my childhood trauma & media, & probably even years of dating
I hear you.
I was *enjoying massaging the oil into my face*
have you tried… finding a meditative way to experience enjoying selfcare?
@@gypsysnickerdoodle4354
As long as the scars are initially healed, rub vitamin E into them every day.
I was going to say that lipstick was the only thing in my grandma's (born in 1921) makeup bag!
I have lip color I love. It looks great on my cheeks, too, and I wear it there, too.
I love you Wayne Goss!!!
With that in mind, let's compete to be radiant. xx
Love this.
@Ann Wayne has done a video on large pores, maybe more than 1.
Wayne, the time that stands out in my mind was at my dad’s funeral. My brother looked at me and said, “Daddy was right, you really are beautiful.” Although I didn’t agree, it was definitely a confidence booster from two men I loved.
You are a beautiful person Wayne..we see it❤️
The last time I felt beautiful was when a friend helped me with a photo shoot of myself. He was showing me the photos on his camera screen quickly, he said, "That one! That's YOU!" I said, "Wow, it really is." So, my beauty that we agreed upon was the photo that showed my personality the most authentically.
Looking at your tnail, I would bet that ALL photos of you look beautiful.
(That is the closest I can remember to being told I look "beautiful")
I told a stranger a few days ago, that I loved her dress and matching tights, and that she look great.
Gorgeous Wayne. My makeup has always looked cakey. I clearly use way too much. I will go much lighter. Thank you for this terrific tip.
Very kind.
Wayne's tips have upped my make up game so much!
@@collette2990 Probably be better if you don’t use the powder on the lips. Might be too drying
Not wearing much makeup since it’s hot outside. Mostly loving my skincare products. Love all your tip and tricks 🙌🏾🥰💋
I can see your eyes & your hair is stunning. You Are Beautiful 💖
I think you look beautiful in your profile picture there.
You certainly look beautiful. Whether you see it or not. 👑
@@sandramiller3207 Oh, Sandra, you are so kind! You are so beautiful. Peace and love to you.
You look stunning to me!
I don't think I have ever felt beautiful. You truly are beautiful, inside and out. Thank you for sharing yourself with us. 🧡
Breathe life is short 😘😘
And very very nice video!
What a gorgeous man! I mean in every way compassionate& passionate; both physically and spritually! Never change a thing!!☮️💟♾️
I feel beautiful almost every day,as I get told I’m beautiful almost every day as well. I feel the need to see beauty around me as much as possible❤️
Thank you Wayne for this new technique. God bless you always.❤
I think you are beautiful. You cast a beautiful light. And you really care about people
Wayne I would think most of us feel like you!
My goats and chickens and bigfoot will appreciate the effort you put into helping me do my makeup. :-D TY
I’ve heard Bigfoot is very judgmental.
Chickens are so judgemental! 😋
I could sit and watch your tutorials all day. Your passion for your art is so obvious. I've learnt so much from you - thank you Wayne. 🙏⚘
Wayne ur so beautiful , amazing person , I see beauty through u and through all women all over the world and I'm one of them .. u gave me lots of lessons here not only in makeup but with the way ur helping others , caring , loving ur relationship with ur mom ,, those are the real beauty .. god bless u , keep on with what ur doing .. ur a model for a lots of people 🌹
I feel beautiful when my confidence shines through and I’m unafraid to be myself.
My hubby says I'm beautiful very often. And even my 3 year old has picked up on it and tells me "you're beautiful mommy."
It makes me feel good.
@callie Moore. Your friend is lucky to have you in her life. You’re a lovely person 🥰
@@bambina3148 thank you and may you be well. 💗
You're beautiful, Wayne ❤
I agree with you Wayne. We are so much harder on ourselves than other people. But I have never felt beautiful but my husband tells me everyday so picked a good one.
