Nairobi city needs to re-mark all pedestrian crossings. They also need to penalize pedestrians not using the crossings. Many people including Dolphine are crossing the roads from all directions. The city should be orderly.

Kenyans love chaos, it will take a lot of civil education before there's a change in mindset, probably even an entire generation.

Thank Dolphine 254 for another update for us in diaspora to see.Nairobi is suddenly looks clean and organized but there is still much needed to make Nairobi complete international city for a start we need to have organized BRT meaning no more matatus or boda boda. The lower section of Nairobi after River RD leading all the way to Landhies RD needs major renovation work of structure and roads with a modern Bus station at Machakos ,more EMS and Fire stations, better drainage water and sewage system.etc

Another great content Dolphin 254. Recently visited Kenya and impressed with the infrastructure developments like the expressways. The local roads were crying out for serious attention too. Can you please shine some light on them so those in Authority can act. Just visit South B /C in Nairobi and the road leading to Diani airport to get a flavour of what I mean. Tx for all your hard work.

I wish you said a note should be drafted to complain of the sorry state of the city. Harambee avenue, Aga Khan walk, Haile Selassie were refurbished by Mbadi and he also gave a new face to Kenyatta avenue and Muindi Mbingu streets. What has the governor done? Most pavements are in bad shape, nduthis are in town everywhere and breaking all the rules. The city centre is chaotic especially from Moi Avenue going eastwards. The only thing that he has done is remove hawkers during the day and after 4 pm they are back with all the chaos they bring.

There's nothing like Nairobi uptown and downtown. Kenyans came up with this crazy dichotomy about the CBD. Town/CBD/city centre/downtown means the same thing. If you want to show the difference between the two sides just say the more busy and less busy sides of town. Or the more organised and less organised sides of CBD. Foreigners especially Americans understand downtown to mean city centre. Please Kenyan TH-camrs stop with this uptown/downtown dichotomy, there's nothing like that. Just say town or CBD and drop the downtown word because you only confuse those who live outside of Kenya.

    • @Digest_254

What do you mean Kenyans came up with it.. I thought that's how everything works, the people come up with what works for them including name of places/buildings/cities/mountains literally everything or your waiting for a public announcement by the gvt declaring downtown & uptown part of the city😂??

@@Digest_254 Don't be ignorant and learn something for once. If you attended geography classes you learn what CBD/city centre/downtown is. Uptown actually means a residential area of a city. So is what you call uptown a residential area? Muache ignorance and for once learn what uptown and downtown mean before embarrassing yourselves and us infront of the world. Just because you popularised terms doesn't mean it is right.

Mr. Alex, this is Kenya & not USA. We do things our way & not copy paste others. Nairobi downtown is the dirty, congested & disorganised area...while uptown is the clean, orderly & less crowded area. Just learn to live with it & accept our misinformation.
