Great info as usual - Personally, Under *Privacy and Security => Location Services => System Services* , I also switch the *Status Bar Icon* to On, so I can see when an app is using location services. That way if I see the location service icon, and I'm not using anything that should need it, I can look to see if something changed, or added
Great video, thank you! I didn’t know RCS did not include E2EE, I hope they will work on that soon. It doesn’t make sense to leave SMS behind if it is for an other non-protected protocol. Also, for those who do not feel like upgrading to iOS 18 yet, please install the latest iOS 17.7 update (patches security issues) 😉
You got the trailing wrong with it on when you download an app you get the ask to no track notification with it off it off it automatically denies the request. Useful feature. 💜
for the individual apps location access i find not giving "Precise Location" is good for a app to get your general area but not exactly following you good for say a Weather app where it will then know the town/area your in but not the exact address
Hi there, Could ypu please present us with the same info about Motorola Edge phone settings security or at least about security settings for any Android? Thank you!
@@ShannonMorse Thank you. About any Android settings would be fine with us since most Android phones have similar settings. The only difference is that Android phones that are not made by google have extra settings. For example, Motorola Edge has Google settings. In addition to tha, it has extra settings called Moto Secure and Motorola Notifications apps, and we do not understand why we have two settings. One by Google and the other by Motorola. Now we just do not know which security settings we should be using. I guess Samsung, Oppo, Vivo and any Android device besides Pixel would have that I wonder why this double security settings! Thank you for your time
I happened to have my settings set up the same. Even though I’m fairly tech savvy there’s something I haven’t figured out with the bringing Devices together to share contact info. How much of info is swapped? I have more than one phone number, several emails and other stuff on my contact card. I don’t want it all shared. It be nice just to share what info you want to share from it. I don’t have a way to test it with only one phone but will probably never use it anyways.
This is according to apple: What information is shared Users can choose which contact details to share, including their name, phone number, email address, home address, work address, birthday, and a picture of their face. I don't have another iphone to test with, but it sounds like you have control over which details are shared.
