Thank u selome for raising this question, I noticed you asked the dr why we don’t have the passion in Amharic, I would say we never learnt to do what we love we were told to be like others and what acceptable by society, which isn’t bad but we never define ourselves Ethiopians we need to work hard on this beliefs.
And I will add yes poverty plays big role cause we always have this mind set we will be poor if we don’t study or be dr or somthing we can’t imagine more than that
Dear selome, Its really interesting discussion, as usual I would like to thank you for your unusual but powerful show. Back in the years I was really passionate about having a PR and Ad agency of my own, this was my passion but I was unable to realise it because of many reasons. Since I came from a family who had a blue collar background, it was not visible for them to ask me such in their eyes a luxurious question to ask me about my dreams. So it's really important to cultivate the passion of our children. Now after having this in mind, I would like to propose a point of discussion on "employment mentality" and the points to improve this fixed term thinking. I proposed this because it's still blocking me from being imaginative and I believe it's a problem for many. Big respect. Daniel
