I love how Mike and Rob are lifting and CT is just in the background shouting funny lines. I'd pay so much money to have CT hang in the background of my workouts and have him talk shit like this.
CT Fletcher is a legend! He been doing this for over 30 years..why don't you get your fat ass off the couch and show us all how it's done since you're so observant!! Shut up..you're probably a fat out of shape computer video game geek..go the gym
- Pause reps Not for the weak of heart? Not for the weak of mind! - Ain't nothing sweeter than the sound of two 45's slapping together - What the fuck is impossible? Not a Gottdamn thing!! CT Fletcher is fuckn a certified Spirit Guide Philosopher
Was my chest day today, tried the pyramid sets building up the weight etc then performing drop sets on the way down in each exercise, went until failure every time. Started with flat bench, then incline, then dips, moved to cable flies/crossovers to burn out the muscle then finished with push ups. Best chest day ever. That simple. Give this a try guys!
Not sure If anyone else does this but, Ive been training for years now got the movements down, these vids are the ultimate motivation to kill it before going to the gym, they my pre-workout
I stepped out my comfort zone and did this workout. I can honestly say that you have to be a beast mentally to do this. I love the feeling afterwards tho.....definitely like the way it makes my body feel. Mike Rashid said, you gotta experiment with different things to see how your body reacts. I agree. This is experiment has gotten me hooked. .
Always got to come back to the OG jewels when I feel like stepping it up. Its like a coach telling you the fundamentals before a big game. Always motivation. Been watching this for years. Respect
This is the first Mike Rashid video I have ever seen and now I'm a fan. Knowledge, experience and unbiased opinion. Oh and of course a damn road map on his chest. Boss.
I train weighted calesthenics. I have to say that your concepts are right on point and I use the ankle, vest, and other weight to achieve this same principle. Awesome job keep it up!
He's probably the gym owner. You don't want some dude distracting you while you exercise. You don't need that talk to get motivated. But this kid has no choice because the cameras are rolling.
Over training is NOT a myth. This guy's is confusing over training with overloading a muscle. There is a difference. This guy in the video is correct, that training your muscle this way is how to build, it's just that it isn't over training--there is a difference.
Me too! I think it's a myth if you don't so know how to recover and refuel, and maybe if you aren't resting properly. But this entire thing made perfect sense to me.
I've been watching a lot of videos on workouts and the methods for training, the way to go about your training, how you focus on the goal you're trying to achieve - all over the last 6 months....This by far is one of the best, informative deconstructions of Beast mode i have seen. Who ever filmed, edited this along with CT and Mike, i really appreciate this video being made. Its changed my perspective on how i train - thank you.
I really like how articulate you are when you explain things. I also really appreciate that you don't have to swear when explaining as well. Not a prude but I don't think people need to swear all the time, and it seems hand in hand when weightlifting videos.
The human body adapts to the environment it's in. Therefor burning out your muscles every fucking time will bring results. Of course u need to give your body what it needs to recover, but people don't understand that the harder you work, the better you'll look and feel.
This is exactly how I train every muscle not just chest and I've gotten insane results in a short period of time he's absolutely right when he says it forces your muscle to grow. I go to failure always and get a pump like no other I probably do 200 reps everytime I do chest
its not overtraining, it's called training harder! your training harder than you're used to so it's called training harder, there are people that train hard then and when training hard isn't enough you can train harder, over training is a type of training where you go beyond training harder and you don't give time for your muscle to rest and recuperate which is actually non-beneficial don't confuse people or they might have some serious injuries. training your biceps 5 times a week is over training, which will cause injuries, training the same muscle and not giving it time to rest is overtraining, what you're doing is not over training, its called failure training and that's training harder.
I really like this workout channel compared to others. Because he's calm and it feel like if you don't look a certain way you can achieve it over time. With out him acting all cocky and crazy
Interesting, here is a cake recipe i use Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). In a medium bowl, mix together the crushed gingersnap cookies, pecans, and butter. Press into the bottom, and about 1 inch up the sides of a 9 inch springform pan. Bake crust 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Set aside to cool. In a medium bowl, mix together the cream cheese, 1/2 cup sugar, and vanilla just until smooth. Mix in eggs one at a time, blending well after each. Set aside 1 cup of the mixture. Blend 1/4 cup sugar, pumpkin, cinnamon, and nutmeg into the remaining mixture. Spread the pumpkin flavored batter into the crust, and drop the plain batter by spoonfuls onto the top. Swirl with a knife to create a marbled effect. Bake 55 minutes in the preheated oven, or until filling is set. Run a knife around the edge of the pan. Allow to cool before removing pan rim. Chill for at least 4 hours before serving.
The odds of finding out how important these videos of CT and Rashid are to me are small, but god damn this is what I needed as a cocky skinny kid 6 or 7 years ago. Many many many days with just these dudes in my headphones. 🙏
I believe there's a thin line between the books and bro science, because everyone is different and what the books or magazines say might not work for you. I rather take a little from the people with results.
***** YES! In fact I've increased a lot of my stats over all...Rashid means over training as far as pushing the limits...clearly your body needs rest, but you can over train (THE RIGHT WAY)
Ahh indeed. I have been working out for roughly 5 years. I have gotten it to where I workout 3 days a week, and do strength training. My gains have gone up tremendously since then, since prior i was working out around 6-7 days a week. Rest is definitely as important as training in general as ive noticed. but right on man
Been a following you for atleast 2 years now. This is one of my favorite videos of all time! You the man Mike! Bring back this kind of style of video back! Its awesome
I've noticed all the guys saying overtraining is bad also have the following: A how to count macros video, a protein shake recommendation, and pussy arms and chest
+FENTON haha in boot camp they overtrain you and you dont get the rest and protein shakes you like or any bullshit. Pro boxers train every day as do olympic athletes. so gtfo
Josh Ortiz I don't think you know what over training is. What Mike Rashid refers to as over training is actually overLOADING. He defines it pretty well. You won't get anywhere by lifting the same weight every time for the same amount of reps every time. You have to push yourself out of your comfort zone. Over training is hitting the same muscle group five days a week for months at a high intensity. Boot camp only lasts a few weeks. They don't go on with it forever. The same with special forces like the Navy SEALs and the British SAS. Hell week is there to weed out those, who can't keep up.
When people talk about overtraining being bad, they're usually talking about hitting the same muscle group before its recovered. Like hitting chest every single day would be over training. We already know doing 40 sets for chest day all out isn't over training, it's just pointless. Lol
I'll break this shit down for you all. This is a great video and I agree with them about pushing yourself to your limits, BUT, don't even think about working out like this if you haven't been working out for atleast 2 years minimum. You're muscles need to be mature to be able to handle this type of training. Plus you have to have a good diet to be able to work out this rigorously. Overtraining is working out without giving that body part enough time to rest and recover. So don't go in the gym training chest 3 times a week expecting it to grow. Yes it might grow but it is pretty unlikely. You will just get terrible cramps in your chest. And you will lose strength too. So if you work out 3 hours on chest day and you have a proper diet, get enough sleep, and give it enough time to rest, then you will be fine. Only lazy people will say this is overtraining because they're too stupid and lazy to put in the work.
BlTERS Well I have a slightly different take on this, I think anybody at any level should try to push his/her self to the limits, but the thing is obviously as your muscles mature, you can handle a lot more volume, hell you need more just to get a good workout. The thing is everybody has different needs for what it takes to get a good workout, most beginners, and even a lot of advanced lifters can't do what Rashid and them did in this video, but I think it's beside the point, which is that everyone needs to really push the limits on every workout, the thing is at the end of the day, only you know whether you really pushed yourself during the workout. So I don't think Rashid is telling people to do this exact workout, he's just showing them how to push the limits. Because I agree, if you don't push the limits during a workout, your only gonna maintain what you have

The human body adapts to the environment it's in. Therefor burning out your muscles every fucking time will bring results. Of course u need to give your body what it needs to recover, but people don't understand that the harder you work, the better you'll look and feel.
+Frank Seymour So true, the harder I push the better i feel after the workout
but there are limits

+Michael Noble XD
+Brian Agyapong the limit is what you decide it to be. That's why you need a partner to push you beyond your limits.

Im from South Africa, Ive tried what you do in your videos and it works, never looked back after seeing what you do and did it myself.
This is exactly how I train every muscle not just chest and I've gotten insane results in a short period of time he's absolutely right when he says it forces your muscle to grow. I go to failure always and get a pump like no other I probably do 200 reps everytime I do chest
One of my shoulder workouts this week had a total of 350 reps. and I did chest the next 2 days after that today and yesterday.
yezzir, did back today, 50 sets 11 exercises and everything to failure or forced reps. how u grow baby
No need to overtrain. just do progressive overload and make sure u r eating in a caloric surplus. naturals cant handle this type of training.
correction...pussies can't handle intense training.
everybody know when they reached own limits and i have no doubts body can handle all recover process
agreed ^
***** maybe not, that was wrong. but i dont think this is nesecary
to quote ct fletcher, thats why mike looks like he do, and you look like you do.
So he means over train in one day... not just training chest like this every day? If so then I'm all for it.
I had to come back and watch this for nostalgic purpose. This video got me back in the gym! Forever grateful
its not overtraining, it's called training harder! your training harder than you're used to so it's called training harder, there are people that train hard then and when training hard isn't enough you can train harder, over training is a type of training where you go beyond training harder and you don't give time for your muscle to rest and recuperate which is actually non-beneficial don't confuse people or they might have some serious injuries. training your biceps 5 times a week is over training, which will cause injuries, training the same muscle and not giving it time to rest is overtraining, what you're doing is not over training, its called failure training and that's training harder.
