  • SAFETY FIRST! Cooper is in the process of overhauling an LSV-12 power generation engine for a customer in the United States, and safety is our primary focus. Cooper veteran Kenton Carter is shown here directing removal of the left bank cylinder block. Prior to the video, the block was rigged up and leveled for smooth removal from the studs that attach it to the center block. The block was removed and carefully placed beside the unit to minimize safety hazards. It was then lowered back down to reduce its potential energy before loading on the truck. Control of the load was excellent. Energy load was minimized. All proper PPE was worn. Rigging was checked for damages prior to use. Softeners were used on hard edges to prevent damage of the rigging while under load. Another job well done by Cooper, the O.E.M. of the famous LSV power engine!

I worked at a natural gas compressor station in South FL in the early 90's we had a Cooper Bessemer V12 twin turbocharged engine, it was a beast.
