This girl knew one of his friends and told this friend that Dave was the one who came onto her! Dave then decided to use his platform as the Megadeth frontman to expose the situation muhahaha. I would love for you to go into some great songs from Megadeth albums people overlook, like United Abominations, Endgame, The System Has Failed, etc. I run into a lot of people that say "I haven't heard a Megadeth song since 1994." Its a shame, because they really did make some kick ass songs and albums passed the 90's. 'This Day We Fight, Washington is Next, Sudden Death, 1320, BlackMail the Universe, etc.'

@@ShredmasterScott Damn straight his work in the orchestra kicks ass, Marty kinda lost interest and it started to show in his performances. Pitrelli saved the day, he really shows his chops in the Rude Awakening special they filmed near the end of the tour. If you get a chance check it out if you haven't seen it.

the conjuring, or bad omen might be the most evil. however, this performance was bonkers. full of energy, even in the slow blues parts.
This song is about his toxic ex-girlfriend Diana. He wrote quite a few songs about her like In My Darkest Hour, Wake Up Dead, Tornado Of Souls, Trust, 99 Ways To Die among others.
In my opinion Good Mourning/Black Friday is their most evil song and contains one of my favorite Mustaine lyrics

Regarding In My Darkest Hour: IIRC Dave said he wrote it while basically being in shock and then overcome with grief after learning of Cliff Burton's death in the bus accident in Scandinavia. Fully agree with the rest, though. This Diana sure did a number on him.

I’m sure if there was a live pro shot of Good Mourning/Black Friday Shred would definitely do it, unfortunately there really isn’t a great quality live version on film, fingers crossed we get one from a festival coming up, seeing it now gets rotated along with The Conjuring on their set list
I have not found a video of Good Mourning/Black Friday any later than 1990 that was good, and it was from backstage. Great video of Nick. I would kill to see Megadeth perform the full Peace Sells album on stage.

The OP referred to the Rude Awakening version of she wolf which has a much more extended solo section performed by AL Pietrelli as opposed to Marty here. Both are good but pietrelli has a different take on this Detroit Rock City section. Also had a drum solo by Jimmy DeGrasso.

@Shred. I disagree. This is a very good song, but I feel that Megadeth's 'Go To Hell" is their most underrated and most evil song. Mustaine definitely went Pegan on the lyrics and the music is PHENOMINAL. 'Go To Hell' is from 'Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey' Soundtrack. Would love to hear your thoughts on that one. Keep shredding!

I am a super duper huge Megadeth fan, but to me this is the WORST Megadeth song. Sorry. The Conjuring is hands down Megadeth's most evil song.
Are you high? The riff and harmonies are killer and if also features some of Dave's best vocals and solos.
Fantastic tune. Personally though, I think the Rude Awakening version has a better take of the extended solo section. Tastier harmonies, and slightly better composition overall in that part (i.e. the extended solo part outshines the actual outro solo).
This is the Woodstock version the rude awakening version is better

Wait I'm pretty sure that's not the Rude Awakening one. That one follows a similar formula but it seems much more fleshed out than this. You get an entire drum solo and the guitar ones are much better even though Marty's absent. The whole package puts this one to shame and that's saying a lot.

Yeah, main riff of Vortex is fuckin legendary! and The Disintegrators has great thrashy punk energy. But Trust,She-Wolf,A Secret Place,Use the man are good too. Cryptic Writing is underrated.

Nah shred the conjuring is the most evil bud ....like the harmonics at the beginning kinda stealing little evh but who doesn't Eddie was master in harmonics ....live Dave but he's been through more changes in lineup than any other band I know ...Megadeth blows away Metallica..I think there sound is way heavier and Metallica just fell off when made black album ..like lost wtf they were doing ....
