    As someone who has taken a fair share of AP classes, here I am to give you a rundown from easy to hard! AP classes can be a pain so hopefully this advice helps. As always leave any questions in the comment section :)
    AP classes can be tricky to manage especially with the online nature of classes. Figuring which classes to take and which ones to study for can be tricky!

    i agree that calculus takes a really strong foundation in algebra to get. the actual calculus part in problems is not that hard, but simplifying it with algebra is the hardest part

      Exactly!! Most of calculs is algebra the calculus part is the conceptual part which makes it super tricky

    Just curious, I’m a sophomore this year, if I take ap biology in my junior year does it just review what I took back in freshmen but it has more chapters?

    • @ManjarithePandicorn
      @ManjarithePandicorn  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Kinda? AP biology was far more in depth compared to what my honors biology curriculum consisted of. Not just more detail but you really have to understand all of the processes since the exam is all application not direct content knowledge questions

    I took honors chem sophomore year and got Bs throughout the year. I am planning to take ap chem senior year. I don’t remember anything from honors chem really, how much reviewing would I have to do over the summer? does ap chem just pick up where honors chem left off? Please tell me more about it as I’m not sure if I should choose this class or not

    • @ManjarithePandicorn
      @ManjarithePandicorn  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      From my experience w Honors Chem, rather than pick up where it left off for ap chem it was more like building knowledge. For example in honors chem I remembering learning a lot about converting between moles and mole ratios and ap chem expanded a lot on that also having us use the ideal gas equation. But I did have the same teacher for honors and ap chem
      So I would suggest reviewing honors chem material- basic applications of the ideal gas equation, what makes an ideal gas ideal, converting between moles/ using avagadros number, what kind info you can get from a chemical equation, properties of different elements (there are way more topics but this is just a start).
      Without reviewing those topics AP chem will require a lot of work during the school year (from my experience). The foundation was needed to pick up with AP chem w/o major gaps in knowledge as my teacher would mention topics discussing in honors chem and not go over it ( since time constraints) and expected us to know it.
      Sorry for the long response hope this helped!!

    This was super useful! Subbed :) I'm an 8th grader going into HS and I applied for Geometry Honors, Biology Honors, and English 10 honors (English being my strongest suit, and math being my weakest). We aren't allowed to change our schedules, but I'm worried that I have too much on my plate. If you've taken those honors, or honors equivalent to those classes, do you think the workload is sustainable?

    • @camocamper2830
      @camocamper2830 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm in 9th grade and I'm taking honors geometry and honors biology right now. Honors biology is very easy as long as you pay attention in class. Honors geometry can be hard sometimes, but if you study and practice, it gets easier. So I would say the workload is sustainable.

      Hey! Glad you got help from the other comments but I figured I’d drop my two cents as well!
      I think it depends on a few things.
      1) if you are struggling, are you willing to get help? If yes, I strongly believe you can thrive in these classes
      2) can you motivate yourself to study even when material is hard or boring? I mean force yourself to sit through practice problems till it clicks in your brain.
      I do think the workload is sustainable. With English being your strongest suit and also IMO being the hardest to prepare for you should be good. For math, I’d recommend prepping up this summer so the material doesn’t get you muddled on first glance. For me I started doing well in math after doing many many practice problems till I could do them like clockwork.
      Good luck and let me know if you need anything else!

    I am thinking of taking two AP science courses in junior, either AP Chem with AP Bio or AP chem with AP Physics 1 or AP Bio with AP Physics 1.what do you suggest is a better combo.I tool Honors Chem and Honors Bio in freshman and sophomore.

    • @ManjarithePandicorn
      @ManjarithePandicorn  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Chem and physics together will likely be the hardest combo. Bio is memorization and applying which more people tend to grasp easier. Physics has a lot of concepts that are generally new to people. I'd recommend ap chem and bio if you really wanted both but honestly if you're going to an in state school financially and in terms of long term goals just take the equivalent classes at a community college!

      I’m taking ap chem now and my biggest advice is to 1) be REALLY interested in chem beforehand + 2) make sure that the teacher is good at explaining concepts + 3) ask students who have taken the class how the teacher is
      best of luck
