It's a little bit different, Dorien. Modeling paste is a lot thicker than Fusion's Embossing Paste I would say. Maybe more able to mold with the modeling paste versus stencilling with the embossing paste.

Yes, you could use it on a table top, just remember that it is going to be raised, so may not be the best for a table top as it will be an uneven surface to put things on. Just remember that paint takes 20-30 days to cure (completely harden), so with the embossing paste medium, you will want to allow extra time to cure.
