I just used your LOVE Stencil .Had bleeding on last line.I must redo.I will be using the original black background to give a shaded effect. LOVE. I'm still not sure why the last line bled . The you tube video suggested using a foam dauber brushs(I did this time)oops? .I've always used a stencil brush w/ bristles .Maybe just too much paint on the last line. Thanks for your HELPFUL tips.🙂 I will think about them as I redo the sign.👍
Susan, that’s when we run into issues as well, toward the end of the project when the paint starts to build up. Be extra cautious, especially the longer you paint, to offload paint from your applicator.
I'm going to try this on my bike for a logo, wish me luck 🍻 I first tried a reverse stencil method and it went horribly wrong. Layer of red paint, layer of tape, cut the logo into the tape like a sticker, then layer of black paint... removing the tape was harder than I expected and peeled some paint with it 🙈
Patty says on a slick surface like a tile, she would recommend using a stipple or tapping motion through stencils. And she would recommend using our Jumbo Dauber, which you can find on our website. She recommends this for better coverage. And sometimes brush bristles may leave a texture on a slick surface like a tile. She says use REALLY thin layers, make sure to do our offload technique from the video. And make sure the paint dries completely before applying the next layer.
Absolutely! We have our own Stencil Dome Brushes that we use every day - they are perfect for stenciling. You can watch that video here: th-cam.com/video/olcuExu_Ujs/w-d-xo.html You can find our dome brushes on our website here: bit.ly/4513992
Hi there! You can, but we do not prefer a roller when stenciling unless you are stenciling large open spaces. It can be hard to get into small and intricately cut spaces with a roller. Here is a playlist we have on using a roller - some of these videos will be for stenciling, others will be for basecoating. th-cam.com/play/PLbR_Y90aI9dBE4xV9okOz5mEmNmxkp3-X.html

Hey I have a brick wall project and I need to know which paint to use?
You can use any acrylic paint. Patty has had success with this even without sealing it.
Excellent video!
