It feels like one of my favourites, but then again I feel that way most of the time I'm listening to anything Steven Wilson. The way it gets chaotic in the background near the end but the bass is still chugging along and taking the focus like a freight train, is very satisfying to me.
The Prog Report' Posted On Dec 15, 2022 Had a panel of 6 giving their Best Prog Albums for 2022 and the main person "Roie Avin" at The Prog Report Called: "Steven Wilson" The "Michael Jordan" in Rock Music!!! A little different type of comparison but people who know NBA Great Players of All Time get's his Caparison...
@@BigBeatReactions I'd say you're Boston Bias is showing? U look at Any NBA Greatest Player's list of All Time? It's" Michael Jordan" The Best NBA Player of All Time!!! Sorry Big Beat it is what it is...
These early songs should definitely be considered more like Steven Wilson's earlier solo career than Porcupine Tree. The band were more like session musicians in thise days with smaller contributions/influences over the music.
My friend, if you don't want to know what's coming next, you have to do "Supper's Ready" by Genesis. As good as they are, be sure to cover the original before you listen to the live versions with Steve Hackett.
A very melancholic smooth listening song choice by PT but probably most PT fan's would say the title track 'The Sky Moves Sideways Phase 1' is probably the Best song from that album?
I know this aint the `Tree,but- Listen to a British band called Camel been making albums 50yrs,But the Album in question is "Mirage" its on TH-cam, and react to the track Nitromodel" think the spelling is right But compare it to Luminol, by the legend SJW. @ 70 MUST be you oldest, subscribed viewer., Sorry for gate crashing.

I love how the live version of this goes into Always Never.
Holy Drinker (live version - Germany) by Steven Wilson won’t disappoint. Unbelievable musicianship on that one.
On the list!

I never thought of it that way, but not wanting to know what comes next is an important part of my taste in prog.
Thanks bro!
You bet!

Considering all the PT reactions you've done, surprising you haven't done "Lazarus" yet. Extremely beautiful song.
That one is on the list!

Would be awesome to do the 33+ min version of the title track on the remastered album. Well worth it.
@@timwallace5997 U meant the Alternate Version on Disc#2 ? But, Yes it would!
@@lkeslinke Yeah, for me the alternate version is better.
