Don't want to spoil it for viewers.
Even her husband admitted to judge that she didn't suggest it, she didn't encourage him, etc. The police were really trying to convict her on her morals. Of course we, the audience, know everything.
In other words she kept saying how unhappy she was, he was a bad husband, possibly abusive. Constantly being told those things a man decided to help her, and himself, and killed the husband. And of course the female gets away with ensuring it happened. Yeah. Always the male to blame and the female.....

I'm only 10 minutes into the movie not knowing anything about it but what I've seen so far, the description & your comment, so I being a woman I agree with you. Even in the beginning when the husband ( Mr. Peterman Seinfeld LoL) asked her where she was. She says this store shoes, some store perfume & the 3rd store I boinked a bunch of sailors or whatever & he slaps her. It's not right to slap before someone assaults you, but I understand if he's had suspicions about her cheating on him. A slap of passion, I don't, so far see the husband as abusive. Technically the slap is abusive however if she's been jacking the husband around I totally understand because as a wife the other way around I'd slap him.
"Believe woman no matter what" is as stupid as "Believe men no matter what".
There's always 3 sides to a story hers- his- & the Actual Truth!

They act realistically and not Look like they are acting. This is a great movie that is well crafted in terms of cinematography, editing, sound/music, acting/, and story. It is a work of art- that is beautiful, appealing, and of more than ordinary significance- it made me think a lot. I thought that her husband made a deal with the killer and he was still alive but it was vs all my expectations.
Susan Lucci is was a very good actress. Specially in this movie she gave her best performance. Very good movie too.
The actor playing her husband was on All My Children the last few episodes. He played a Hollywood producer who offering Erica the chance to become an actress.

I use to live on the UES of NYC. Susan Lucci daughter lived in my building. There was a little Italian restaurant up there, which was like a neighborhood place. My parents visited me once a month and almost every time they visited we would go to this restaurant. Susan Lucci was always there with her husband. She was so beautiful in person and seemed so sweet. lol if we were at the table next to her my father didn’t want us all to talk, he was so star struck by her. This was in 2000. The restaurant closed in 2005 so we didn’t get to see her anymore after that. She was tiny too. I’d say she was only about 5ft

It served him well... No way does it make sense to remotely trust anyone cheating on his/her marriage partner.
It's called Love. It's truly blind. Without a doubt, she seduced him. Then, the bruises on her neck, the detective following her, the cut brake line. He was convinced her life was in danger. Then, the sit down with hubby. You can't deny his "I protect at all cost" comment wasn't threatening. He was saving the poor lil helpless woman he loved.
I've dated many like her, many married. Seldom did I pursue them. They usually initiated it. It's always "My husband is mean, shows me no affection." Or the he hits me thing. On the edge of divorce. They're looking for another home before they lose the other one. Women are conniving, manipulative, and use their "Charm" to seduce. A crazy woman has great xes.
My friends always said you could put 100 Women in a room, and 1 be crazy, and I'll end up with the crazy one. They said I never picked them, they picked me. I have a book full of stories I can tell. It's been suggested I write one by quite a few.
