    The relatively cheapoer prices of Samsung et al are a thing of the past. They have gone the Apple way and also charge premium prices. It's simply too lucrative to do so and they know that people will buy regardless. Slowly but surely, buyers have been trained to associate lower price with lower quality, so they tend to go for premium in order to get what they perceive is the best.

    Michelin star restaurants are 1-3 stars. Hotels receive 1-5 stars.

    If you can afford luxury items go for it, but that means you have your investments and they are generating income for your luxuries. If you’re buying items on credit cards and payments that means you can’t afford it
