Bang on about the speedo. Only component on the bike that looks shitty. The interceptor’s clock looks more natural in line with classic vibe of the bike. At least the font colour could have been changed.
Im thinking of buying this for my father. I want this but i already have a D400 that i love and would be shouted upon if i get two motorcycles. So gifting it to father is the sneaky plan i came up with 😂. Love you strell❤️
One of the best reviews that I've come across in the past few days. Really helped build confidence to go for this machine. Royal Enfield is setting better benchmarks and hitting them , time and again, coming from a classic 350 user. Keep up the good work bro👍Thanx a lot
I love the tail lights setup so much. If I decide to go for this rather than the interceptor it will be 50% due to the tail lights and 50% due to the exhausts
If you find the rear suspension too stiff, adjusting preload will only upset the handling. It needs a softer spring and damper with the correct preload to set the correct sag, but that then risks bottoming out if the travel is insufficient
it is just a point of perception, I was so much amazed with that super beautiful tail light and right after the person said negative thing about tail light..... I was looking for flaws in the bike (regarding looks) THERE WERE NONE
@strell - This is indeed the most honest, simplest and detailed review of the Super Meteor 650 that I have seen on the internet!!! Kudos to you!!! Keep zooming Champ and ride safely 🎉😊
I'm planning to go for the Celestial variant of the SM650. How would a 6ft 4inch lean guy fare with this beaut? I've heard that the rear suspension is quite hard for comfort. I use my 2017 KTM RC390 for daily commute to office and I'm pretty okay with that. If the SM650 offers a similar stiffness at the rear tyre, I'm happy with that.
Ever since the launch - one point is always highlighted - ground clearance - 135 - no, it's not an issue. Harley road King has a gc of 130 mm - there are riders in India who have clocked 100k on road kings, without any issues. Sure there are some scrappings here and there, but it's something you can live with
It's an issue. That had to stiffen the suspension a lot so that it doesn't scrape which results in poorer ride quality. It's no use to ride 100k when you are gonna get back pain in return. There's a reason there are literally 2 crusiers in the Indian market and they never went mainstream outside of USA.
@@SurajSinghTomarArya back pain? Not that much of an issue. Plus, now RE has now entered a proper cruiser segment - it's just a matter of time that aftermarket brands will come up with good suspension set ups. Already SnS has developed exhaust for interceptor and gT. Also I own a HD heritage 2021 model - the ride is smooth as always. You can't compare them with adv tourers but for a cruiser it's plush. Not at all bumpy. Previously I owned HD Dyna Street Bob - did 2500 km long ride (to and fro) on stock suspension and stock seats, sure they did get to me, but then I just went for an upgrade in suspension from Harley's stable itself - 25k completed post that. For people in India, it's just a matter of time, this bike will get better response as time passes believe me. FOR CRUISERS, one ride will not give you the answe, a proper long term review is a must - say 6 months or 10k kms.

A very unbiased review 👍 I ride a BMW G310R and I want to upgrade to RE 650 (Interceptor or Super Meteor). I love the way how premium the Super Meteor looks in front of the Interceptor but the Interceptor looks like a more rounded product, which would definitely require some day 1 mods to make it a comfortable and practical motorcycle for the rider and pillion (seat, pegs, tubeless conversion etc). The Super Meteor has all this covered. But I think its Achilles heel is going to be the stiff ride quality. I agree with you that this motorcycle would suit western countries more where the roads are largely good. I know RE has tuned it that way to prevent it from scraping. New Mojo review idumo please
How do you "give it some gas" when you're riding on petrol? ;-)
Can i ask what's your height? For reference... 4:51
I am 5'6
I was considering this bike, but my classic reborn which has much higher ground clearance, that has bottomed out so many times in my city😅, I'm not confident meteor 650 will be a good fit
Bro what's your height..... Pls reply
Amazing review of the beast. Way to go man 🔥
Make a video with Qj motors src 500. Know it's a Chinese brand but it will good to see if you review it.
A very detailed review. Excellent 👌🏼 macha. Really liked this one
Nice motorcycle .I tried to pull the motorcycle out of a descent near parking and it would not budge. The weight is a deal breaker for me.
What happened to your voice bro? but as always, great review.
I was recovering from a cold and hence 😁
Good one!
By the way, I heard your positives and negatives about the super meteor while touring. I have specific question.
Would you say that something like a Suzuki VStorm SF250 would fare better with regard to comfort in terms of driving posture, seating comfort and ride comfort. I am 5’11’ btw.
Can anyone make me choose between interceptor and super meteor?
Sthalam Bidadi aduth ano?

Hi.. u don’t sound comfortable at all.. voice is quivering .. @strell : would u recommend this or Int 650 to someone who rides bullet 500 now ??
Superb review
What's your height?
One has to b strong heavy bodybuilder type to control and ride this beast ...Inhave rhe same varient. .Awesome machine
Which road is this buddy ?
Very nicely done Strell. Even though it's not your kind of bike the amount of observations you've shared made this review truly a holistic one. Thanks for the effort, keep at it mate 👊🏼
My problem with RE is that it can't do big roads. I live in a country where most roads are huge. I need a motorcycle that sits comfortably at 140 kph.
This should be around 200kg. Short travel suspension that need to handle weight ought to be stiff making your jaws shake… it’s the weight of little class bikes . They should make sport tourer from this platform with normal suspension
Lovely review. As always
Brother what is your height in cms ?
169cm
How tall are you, Sir? If you dont mind me asking.
I am 5'6 sir
No need compare to harley, i say meteor only lack on performance, other are really good. Hope RE will tune the engine for 120mph on future.
No one spoke about the key of the Super Meteor 650.. RE should have a better design for the key as well. That gives the owner a proud all the time... apart from the best bike....
Forget the bike, which roads are these?😍😍
You Nailed it 🔥
Hat's off RE❤️
