I bought a new TV, after a good 5 years using a 32” 1080p ‘dumb’ TV, I finally upgraded to this, a 50” 4K TV from HISENSE. But why did I pick this one? There are a good few reasons, so let me explain.

I've been chasing after a 50 inch TV for a while...... then it became a chase for a 43 inch...... then the wife said we don't need anything bigger than the TV we have currently....... obviously I'm contemplating divorce..... anyway, great review as always :-)

@Geddy Woods Mine was a replacement from team knowhow as my previous TV that I owned was a 40 inch JVC 4K Smart TV, the LED light had gone on it, so the TV wasn’t working.. It took them over a month to try and repair it, so I demanded a full refund and replacement so I got myself a 50 inch hisense 4K Smart TV which now my Xbox One S is now officially plugged into and now I’m happy with it..

Great set for the price. I replaced my Samsung c7000 with this. The Samsung is far superior in build quality, panel and motion rate however the Samsung did cost me £1.800 in 2010. This tv is great for the money. Just needed a few tweaks to the picture settings plus connect the sound bar via ARC. Bought this tv over twelve months ago. No faults found.

@@Zeegoku1007 I payed $430 for it and it has been amazing for a smaller bedroom. Playing death stranding on it rn and looks great as ever. the HDR is pretty lack luster but 600 nit SDR and the deep blacks from the VA panel make it look really good in a darker room. Sometimes there is a little bit of glow around white text on darker back ground in games from the few dimming zones but I've only ever noticed that maybe 3 times a that was with a specific game. Viewing angles are good but sometimes if I'm like folding laundry or something I will have to angle it towards me more to see the picture clearly. Its a model old now though so maybe check out what they replaced it with to see if there are any upgrades. I'm still on the PS4 pro so I'm happy with just 60hz but I think the newer model will do 120hz

I kind of wish that some companies cut prices even more and only offered inputs. No TV-functionality, no smart-functionality, no speakers even. I rather have a good display and then I can upgrade those other components if I even feel like it.... the integrated stuff in TVs just make them obsolete much quicker.

For this money, it's a very decent tv that is fine for tv and movies. The remote control is quite a turn off in how cheap it feels but the lay out is fine. The OS is what it is. If you only do Netflix Amazon prime and TH-cam, it is enough. I would have taken a TLC over this though. And then there are the occasional deep discounts on the last year Panasonic or Philips so though competition. But yeah cheap tv's have come a long way , it really surprises me how much better they are compared to what you used to get 10 years ago at this price point.

You can always do to it like I did mine because I could never get the settings to stay still the brightness would for some reason creep itself up to 100% brightness and the volume would turn itself up gradually while playing.
The Google software of this TV and the hardware b******* they put into it has turned it into garbage mine was so horrible I couldn't even delete passcodes out of it and then the TV totally locked up and would not come out of the Netflix app it was stuck there after 2 days of trying to get it to clear unplugging the TV going into the settings and trying everything I finally got so pissed off I put my foot through the mother.
It felt so good I removed it from the wall and took it out in the yard and we finished the job were selectronics device I've ever owned in my entire life.
Never again will I ever buy a product that Google has placed its wrath in testy deep.

i just bought one of these, i still wait it to arrive. There were other options, and they probably are better spec wise in some regards. You can get some lg or samsung for around 370, but the the mainissue is: they are all 43inches. If i go up to 50 on them, it ll cost me me more like 450. On the Hisense, i can get a 58inch for 399 and a 50 inch for 339. As long as the panel is not garbage and movies look nice on them, the main selling point was the size. 43inch just is too small for me.
i dont like 99% of tvs internal os anyways. its something that i really despise on modern tvs...they try to be too smart, and i pay for shit that i dont even need or want to use.
if i had the choise, i would very well just buy a ''dumb tv'' ,thats basicly just a screen that displays things...and add a roku. for example.
