HAHAHA, I believe this video is being flagged by youtube as not suitable for all advertisers because of the word "nipples" and "nipple covers" when I talk about the spoke ends. HAHAHA I'm not sure how else to call the spoke nipples.
Ma, che bello chi sei. I don't do the YT commentary thing but I came across this whilst researching and would like to say grazie; for the demo, and for the laughs. Molto buono.
Love your videos. I wanna do this too ,but still consider at it. People say the job can only hold about 2 - 3 years...and then loss the air slowly...For my ride habit, that will be a danger. So thank you for sharing this video and please keep updating new situation about the tubeless job.
I've been waiting for you to do this video, thank you. I'm planing on doing the same thing if it works out for you...lol. I hate not being able to just plug the tire and ride on, tubes suck!!!!
Hey Albe. I was reading Woodies wheels in Denver will do the rear wheel tubeless and it's fine but they won't do the front wheel because the rim bead is not right for tubeless and the tire could come off especially at lower PSI. So I guess its fine for street driving but maybe not so great idea for offroad. Just in case you haven't heard that or maybe you have heard it's okay?
+Ed DeBolt as always you have some good informations, that is true, I'm only making my street tires set tubeless, my second set with knobby tires for off road is going to keep the tubes.
It depends on the wheel. Fine if it has safety beads but not if the wheel doesn't which some older wheels designed for tubes don't have. Personally I wouldn't use it front or rear without safety beads. I have the kit installed on both wheels on my street bike with Excel wheels for a few years now 3.5" front and 5.5" rear. Never had any leaks or any problems. Great kits imo.
Hi, not really, that's why I would recommend this installation if you mostly ride on the road, since spokes tend to need less adjustments if you ride on paved streets
Hi Albe! Good videos from you as usual. Any updates after one and a half years of using tubeless? On what highest speeds have you tested them? :) front tires, being bias ply, tend to expand more than radial (rear) on higher speeds. Can this be a chance for loosing air in front tire? Thanks!
So far no air leaks, they are holding out great. The OutEx system makes the rim air tight, so it doesn't really matter what tire you have on as long as it's a tubeless rated tire. Speed wise, I've been as fast as 100mph, on a closed circuit obviously, and I had no problems.
if you still have the bike is the kit still working fine ? do you notice any issues ? i read somewhere that u should not convert front as its not safe..is that true ? thanks
Yes I do, it’s still doing great, no leaks and no problems. I’m not sure why it wouldn’t be safe, even in case of a failure the tire would not explode, it would just deflate slowly as if you have a puncture. I personally am super happy I installed the kit.
It's fine to use on a front rim if it has a safety bead (the ridge that holds the bead of the tire against the outside of the rim). Most older wheels designed for use with tubes don't have safety beads and should not be converted. The main reason is the tire can come loose and fold into the inside of the rim without the safety bead. While it's still dangerous when a front tire loses air it is much more dangerous if the wheel doesn't have safety beads.
@@AlbesADV Perfect .. It is said that if you have a tube rim on a tubeless ring. The tire is damaged by not having enough force to withstand air pressure
Albe's Adv I got it. I ended up using a ratchet strap around the outside of the tire and lube and worked it until the beads spread far enough apart that it started holding air.
Hey Albe, great video! How did you liked this conversion after some time? Did it leaked, or everything went smooth through years? Thinking about doing the same.
They worked great for me, I had a small leak on the front at first because I went too close to one spoke, I patched it when I found out and no problem ever since, now the bike is with the new owner and he hasn’t said anything (we work together) so I’m assuming everything is still good
+D. 020 my BMW get washed very rarely, if it's covered in mud I usually just spray it down with water. On those rare occasions when I actually have to wash it I don't use a particular way of doing it, just dish soap a bucket and a sponge. I hope this help, ride safe.
+RcbNL off-road is not a problem, it all depends on the tire pressure, if you keep the oem tire pressure even off-road you will be fine, if the pressure is too low the tire might pop off the bead and deflate. I only use it on my street set of wheels and it works great. I still recommend it 100%.
Albe, what is wrong iwith having tubes? Such operation is not easy at all and does not seem reliable enough. I would rather stay with tubes unless 100% sure tires will hold the air not only in garage, but on offroad as well.
the advantage is that if you get a flat, you can plug it quickly. The wheels are slightly lighter as well and a few less ounces down there can be felt. I do agree with you, the operation is not easy and not very reliable.
Hey Albe. I have an identical bike here in Utah and I'd like to convert it to tubless. my question is, are both front and rear rims compatible with tubless?. I know the rear rim is rated MT as shown at 5:45 ... how about the front rim? is it MT or WM?
@@AlbesADV thank you for your response. that's good news and it's really encouraging. i just worry to go tubless on my front rim because there's a WM written on it. but if your front rim also has a WM written on it then it should be fine. it'd be great if you have the opportunity to check it. Grazie

Your video was great and thx for the humor...
Thanks Tommy 😀👍
2 years down the line..how do you feel about the outex ... recommend ?
Since I installed it, I had no problems at all, they still hold air and I'm pretty happy with it. Definitely recommend
@@AlbesADV thanks..for the update.
but what about the front wheel that lacks a safety edge for the tire?
I believe that would be a problem only if you run low pressure in tge tires
You don't need to spend all that time pushing the tape in, just put the tube back in and fill it with air. The tube will form it perfectly.
That's a great idea 😀👍
I wonder if it would be easier to conform the tape if you used a hairdryer to warm it as you apply ?
I’m not sure what effect heat would have on the tape, deform, shrink when it cools down, etc. so I didn’t use it.

buenas tardes usaste el mismo tipo de llantas o cambiaste las llantas.
Hola, Es el mismo tipo de llantas
hey mate...great vid. Question...why did you at 3:44secs have the valve in the tape???
Hi Khalid, I had it thru the tape to line up the holes between the the adesive double sided tape (green) and the stronger clear tape.
Hi, can you adjust spokes after installation?
Hi, not really, that's why I would recommend this installation if you mostly ride on the road, since spokes tend to need less adjustments if you ride on paved streets
@Albe's How is this outex holding so far you? Any leaks or any cons so far? Pls let me know!
So far it's holding great, no leaks and no problems, I'm really glad I installed it.
Is this outex modification holding up??
So far so good, no leaks and I love it.
Albe's Adv wow that's good. This is the only video out there for an ADV bike. Rest are all great dirt bikes

Hi Albe. Do you have an instalation instruction to share? I bought the tubeless kit for my F800GS and instructions are only in Japanese.
This video is pretty much it. It a tedious job that requires patience, but easier than you think and the result is great, no more tubes 👍
Hello there! Pray, is it still holding after 4 years? thanks in advance!
I sold the bike about a month ago and was still holding 👍

Since you made the change and the ring was ready to use, the tire that puts you back is a tubeless tire? Or a conventional tire?
I use Pirelli scorpion trail, tubeless
@@AlbesADV Perfect .. It is said that if you have a tube rim on a tubeless ring. The tire is damaged by not having enough force to withstand air pressure
It is true for some rims, but the f800gs rims have a lip similar to tubeless rims.
What about when you need to tighten or loosen the spokes? Won't the tape be disturbed?
I believe it will, you might need to re-do the whole thing
That's the purpose of the tape circles. They allow the spokes to turn
why double gasket for the front valve stem?
I’m not quite sure, but that’s what the manufacturer recommends, so I did exactly what they said and never had a problem
@@AlbesADV ok, thx
Interesting. How wide is the tape?. Great videos by the way> Tks.
I believe the rear is 2 inches and the front is 1 inch. 👍
@@AlbesADV Tks. looking forward to more videos.
Hey Albe, love the videos, man! How long did it take you to do the job? Looks like a real pain in the butt.
+Mo Saito it is, very tedious job but worth it. Depends how quick you are, maybe half a day.
Having trouble seating the rear tire. Any tips or tricks?
What's the trouble exactly? If it just doesn't pop into place properly, try using more lube, deflate, re-set and re-inflate.

You can adjust them but not remove them

Hi,I wanna buy such things as well. But I don't know if that is reliable. Will it work well if I go off-road to slide or jump sometimes?

Would you still recommend this mod? Would offroad be a serious risk?
