For what it's worth - the awards that you grind before achieving Legendary status, you keep those awards (Precision pistol, beam rifle, etc...) for up to 1 minute after you die. They reset after said minute :) It was an awesome time watching you learn the speedrun. We hope that if the itch to speedrun is still there, you continue to grind SWBII :)
Wish I could have been around for these runs, its really cool getting to see more people get into speedrunning this game! Actually got me motivated to try to help make more resources for everyone jumping into the speedrun. Shoutout to the community, esp. kazumus, captainemu, austin, circles, neveryear, jotase, maxy, and others for motivating me and being really cool people. I probably wouldn't have gotten into speedrunning the game about a year ago without them. @@pdrhrr that would be impossible without ridiculous luck because the enemy AI on hard mode in battlefront 1 is unintentionally rigged to win since your troopers are no where near as good as theres for some reason
32:25 as someone who lost on that very objective during a live speedrun marathon, I can absolutely confirm that's indeed one of the worst ways to loose a run :( Edit: thanks for the shoutout and the bf2 speedrun community is for sure the best! 9:08 I always thought the Award weapons staying when you die/respawn was intentional design where if you happened to earn the award and then immediately die, they didn't want you to lose the award. There is a grace period after earning the award where if you die, the next life will have the award.

Watching your videos inspired me to try the Battlefront 1 campaign without dying, the most difficult mission for me was Endor, I ended with an 85/0 K/D, and I the last 40+ kills I was all on my own in an AT-ST. Real fun stuff

Naboo, capping the third command post can be done from behind the wall between the health and ammo droids. It's a bit safer. Watching this made me realize how many of these things i do just because it optimizes the gameplay are actually pro game strats.

I had a bit of an internet problem right when you started saying you were not a speedrunner and I honestly just thought it was extremely clever editing on your part until I realized the buffering was a little to long for a silly joke lol.

Speedrun is the quickest (no pun intended) way to start absolutely hating the game you're playing, so no thanks, I'll pass lol. I can get frustrated when I need to beat just one level for a trophy, can't ever imagine myself doing that for the entire playthrough
so I think I might legit be competitive with this speed run cause I used to do these times or better back on my ps2 back in the day and just earlier today on the remaster on my ps5 doin the space missions I did it in around an hour and a half and I know I'm faster than some of the records on some of these maps I needa try this speed run
The ATTE can't be destryoed on felucia? I have a vivid memory of losing to enemy rocket launchers Also yoda's sprint attack if i recall correctly, allows you to regenerate energy if you tap attack once while keeping the sprint up
Do you have a Heroes vs Villains without dying (or whatever the old school name for it is😂) video in the works? I reckon that would be a rage inducing challenge and maybe a good video, it sounded good before I typed it out, now I’m not so sure lol If you haven’t already done it of course.

I actually used to own a copy on my ps2! Haven’t seen it in years though. It’s probably stuck in a box in my parents attic somewhere 😅
That's basically what the AI do when given the chance on battlefront 2, they love to spam force throws to keep you confined to a wall forever
