I haven't gotten to watch the Movies yet but, as unpopular as this is, Sonic Boom is my favorite series. Sonic X right behind it. My favorite game is probably Unleashed, but I haven't tried Frontiers yet. I have it ordered, though, so it may change soon!
Sonic 3, the movie is cool. I liked it very much. Don't know what I would've like to see in the next one. My favorite Sonic game is either Heroes or Unleashed
The reason the pop culture references work here is because it makes sense for the main trio to be so engaged in the culture since they only recently arrived there. But also the scripting around it is really good. When Knuckles obnoxiously says that Tails looks like a Pokemon it genuinely feels like something this version of Knuckles would say because they established his character well. Also the animation around it is good. You can see Tail's expression say "Well that's annoying" so it feels really organic. They're not just saying stuff for the sake of saying it like a Deadpool joke. It tells you something about their dynamic.
I do agree. It makes sense for the characters. Even if I'm not into it. If I were to pick between sonic or Deadpool doing pop culture references, I'd most likely pick sonic!
Not gonna lie, people complained about sonic having “cringy” jokes, but it was necessary for his attitude and his character, because in the actual games, sonic makes cringy jokes, and him making cringy jokes adds to his character, and is also shown when he becomes serious dealing with shadow.
For me, Sonic has healed my extensational crisis which I gained after the death of my great-grandmother, I was asking the same things you were asking, and when I started watching Sonic playthroughs I eventually watched Sonic and the Black Knight playthrough where the moral was: life is precious because it ends, so you should live it as happily as you can, to not regret it. It's really awesome that a game bout fast blue hedgehog can change and even save lives like this ❤.
Life is often so random, absurd, and precious at the same time. Enjoy the quiet along with the chaos. Your great grandmother's prescence has been immortalized in this youtube video about a fast blue spikey boy. I've never met her but I'll think of her and tell my friends about this. At the start of 2024, I met Jason Griffith the voice of Sonic in Sonic X and meeting him for the first time was such an incredible feeling of meeting my childhood hero. Sonic movie 3 was easily the most peak movie I saw in 2024 besides dune 2!
Being a Sonic fan can be a gift as long as you find something that doesn't build only yourself but builds everyone you may know. As a Sonic fan, I am running to excitement this decade. Sonic finally ran back into the spotlight!
Honestly, even as I look back on my life, I tend to realize just how much Sonic impacted my life in the most subtle ways. He's a character that I aspire to, just because of how kind he can be to others. This story's heavily heartwarming
When I heard your story and that question of "Why do we live" at the start of the video The rest of it I was like waiting: "Where is the part where he plays Sonic & the Black Knight? Where is it?" If you still haven't seen the story of the game, then you should absolutely do so It's worth it, trust me You can look it up on TH-cam, you don't have to play it btw
Being a sonic fan kind of saved my life too, I used to be super scared of death as a kid and playing sonic and the black knight got me over the fear of dying. Also the way Sonic literally embodies freedom, he was a HUGE inspiration to me throughout my childhood as I never had freedom (I was abused as a kid and lost a lot of my childhood because of it.) Now, I love Sonic more than ever at 19 and play all his games just as much as I used to back then, and he always reminds me to be free, not care what anyone else thinks, and just to be happy. Whenever I feel sad or down, I just play a Sonic game. I honestly think he IS the most inspirational video game character and a lot of what he says is actually mind opening, especially in the storybook and adventure games. He isn't phased by anything, and if you're into Sonic it'll inspire you to be the same way.
Yknow, it’s weird how much I relate to this despite different backgrounds and such, though there are some things that different, like back when I was a kid, I struggled with mental health a lot, I was always afraid to talk to my parents about it despite them being frankly good parents, I don’t know why I was scared, but at school and such, I exhibited a lot of symptoms of depression and yet..no one ever noticed somehow, or didn’t care to notice, I always felt somewhat invisible in school since none of the teachers ever cared to check if I was ok despite regularly joking about my abysmal sleeping and not exactly being a cheerful person unless I was making self deprecating jokes, people who I thought were friends left me sooner or later through the years, I just felt incredibly alone to the point that I was considered ending myself on school grounds purely to just finally be seen, to spite bullies, so on, obviously that never happened and god bless my parents for noticing the decline in my mental health, they ended up pulling me out of school to home school me and since I realised my parents actually knew how bad it was getting and was treating it seriously and in a positive light..well, I started to open up, I got better, I’m still struggling frankly, but, I’m getting better. Earlier this year I got diagnosed with autism, we’re planning to check for adhd too since my mum reckons I’m more likely to have AuDH rather then autism alone, frankly it still feels surreal lol, but, a thing that’s also been developing over all this time is slowly getting more and more open with my interests, back when I was younger and in school, I was always afraid of sharing my interests due to them being “childish” or whatever..but in the last year, I’ve gotten super open with my interests, how much I actually like sonic, pokemon, games, anime, etc. and also, I grew up watching sonic a lot, it made me happy, I played through the sonic games my parents randomly got me growing up and I adored the games, it feels silly but the sonic series holds a lot to my heart, I always aspired to work on the games infact, the music too brings a lot of happiness (though I find endless possibilities from sonic unleashed makes me feel..oddly bittersweet? I don’t know why) and I was always fond of the friendships in the games and just..everything means a lot to me, I kinda rambled a bit here but I just felt like I should share since I relate to your story a bit, even if there was a fair few differences in it all, I hope you keep going though man, you sound sweet, so I hope your doing better now then you were before, I know I’ll keep going too even though the future terrifies me..butttt I need to stay alive to see the sonic 4 movie (I’m joking, that isn’t the sole reason lol) but uh..yeah! From just playing sonic colors that insta- turned me into a sonic fan, tho far from how much of a fan i am now. I kind of had a sonic cooldown after Forces released in 2017 tho. Time went on and then Sonic Frontiers released, and I was like, hey i need the new sonic game, so i got it. Played through the whole thing and now its my favorite sonic game, and it was from that point onward I realized, wait...I have the power of a pc now, so then I played through each and every mainline sonic game, looked in far too deep into the franchise and now im a full fledged, true sonic fan bound by blood, and i dont regret even a bit of it. Also Sonic movie 3 is the best thing ever

it was impossible for me to not cry when you told about your story, because i was like you, not understanding basic social skills and put apart from the others when i was a kid this video feels like an immense tribute to the sonic series, community and to yourself and i think it's beautiful especially what you said at the end of the video was awesome, i couldnt hold my tears i hope everything goes well for you now and i hope you have friends who understand you one of the best sonic videos i saw of my entire life
I’ve wanted to get into the Sonic franchise for years now, and I was so inspired by the third movie that I wished for Sonic Adventure 2 on my GameCube for my birthday and I honestly cannot wait. I loved the characterization of Sonic and Shadow and the bond that the whole team develops by the end of the movie. The ending really did feel deserved with beautifully written life lessons. It just made me feel so happy and better about myself when I walked out of the theater I’m really exited to start playing more games from this franchise and experience more Sonic, and never has a video game movie had that effect on me
My conservative parents and the community they are apart of are upset with me finding more joy in fictional characters than religion, but to each their own, we all have different things that makes us smile. Sonic saved me too, I really don't care about religion especially when it's shoved down my throat, it makes me depressed. I just wanna live a normal life as a tax paying citizen and mind my own business.

Tbh, i felt like Sonic impacted my life in multiple ways. It's ironic that yesterday, before watching this video, i saw a post about that certain Sonic X episode on Reddit. Sonic 3 & Knuckles is on list of my top 3 favorite games (Other 2 are Hollow Knight & Cuphead). Tbh, Sonic 3 movie was much better than i eggspected, i can actually call it a good movie, unlike the other 2 movies in live-action Sonic trilogy. I'm pretty positive about Sonic 4, since these each movie was better than previous one. I've been waiting for years to play Sonic Generations. I've recently bought SXS Generations & today i played acts 1 & 2 of Green Hill Zone, some problem happend & i couldn't play the rest. But it seems like i fixed it & soon i'll be able to continue playing SXS Generations. Can't wait to continue playing the game
Generations is so fun. Tho a lot of it hasn't aged that well. The shadow levels are hype as F. I hope you continue to enjoy it! Wow Hollow Knight And Cuphead. You must be a really good gamer!!

Sadly, i can't play Demon's Souls. At least today, i played Dark Souls 2 after playing Generations for 10 minutes) are much harder games than Cuphead & majority of Hollow Knight Tbh, i had a feeling that maybe, everyone can beat Dark Souls 1, all it takes is not giving up & at times playing smarter, not harder. It's not a masterpiece, but i liked it. You should give it a shot. I believe that you will succeed. As long as you keep trying, there is always a chance. But i'm really, REALLY grateful for such a compliment. I'll cherish it :) Tbh, i kinda don't like Sonic Mania & few days ago, i started to doubt the quality of SG, is it innovative enough? But before that moment, i always considered SG a good game. I still believe or think that it objectively is, at least i hope so. I hope that me being worried, won't ruin the experience for me. I've waited years for a chance of experiencing it There's a slim chance that i could play it & some other cool games, couple of years ago but i blew it :(

I've recently bought SXS Generations & today i played acts 1 & 2 of Green Hill Zone, some problem happend & i couldn't play the rest. But it seems like i fixed it & soon i'll be able to continue playing SXS Generations. Can't wait to continue playing the game
Generations is so fun. Tho a lot of it hasn't aged that well. The shadow levels are hype as F. I hope you continue to enjoy it! Wow Hollow Knight And Cuphead. You must be a really good gamer!!

Sadly, i can't play Demon's Souls. At least today, i played Dark Souls 2 after playing Generations for 10 minutes) are much harder games than Cuphead & majority of Hollow Knight
Tbh, i had a feeling that maybe, everyone can beat Dark Souls 1, all it takes is not giving up & at times playing smarter, not harder. It's not a masterpiece, but i liked it. You should give it a shot. I believe that you will succeed. As long as you keep trying, there is always a chance.
But i'm really, REALLY grateful for such a compliment. I'll cherish it :)
Tbh, i kinda don't like Sonic Mania & few days ago, i started to doubt the quality of SG, is it innovative enough?
But before that moment, i always considered SG a good game. I still believe or think that it objectively is, at least i hope so. I hope that me being worried, won't ruin the experience for me. I've waited years for a chance of experiencing it
There's a slim chance that i could play it & some other cool games, couple of years ago but i blew it :(
