The guns and explosions have thump to them. The audio visual feedback is so satisfying
The aliens sounds sick as hell
YES! I was genuinely amazed at how good the audio and OST is. They absolutely nailed the tone.

I played for a few hours yesterday with some friends and I can confidently say it’s the most fun I’ve had with a new game in a LONG time. The game has such a clear vision on what it wants to be and it does it all right. I really admire how they wear their inspirations on their sleeve too. Sooooo good. Let’s go Helljumpers, err. I mean, Helldivers.😉
Seems like it really stayed true to the Original which really makes me very happy looking forward to jumping in.

Does anyone else get strong terminator vibes from the automotons? The red eyes through a foggy environment is creepy and I love it.
It was scary, it was night time near a bunch of tree…. Felt like a movie, a bunch of red bullets. Game look great

Fighting the Automatons 100 % feels like what the war against Skynet would be like, it's wild compared to fighting the bugs

Gotta say, one of the funniest things I discovered was that the drop pod can kill stuff when it lands. So if you die, you can aim it at something to kill it
You can also drop onto bugholes to close them!
can drop pods destroy small buildings?
i was in a mission and a Secondary Objective wanted me to destroy a small cluster of buildings, but there was no way…?
@@WeeWeeJumbo Yes they can, most of the ones I've landed on anyway. The facility you have to destroy is a similar small container like structure, you can use orbital explosives or stand close to it and you'll get special Hellbomb stratagem to call in. Make sure to stand back

History lesson: This is from the Starship Troopers Universe. The book was written prior to the Halo CE release. The ODST was based on the Mobile Infantry Hell Divers.

Wario Ware and Katamari Demacy are very strong contenders but this is the cheesiest project ever and to its benefit
They need to use the helldivers intro to recruit people to the military because I’m ready to be a helldiver right now
Dude that’s so real, the trailers had the same vibe as well. If us army ads were anything like this instead of the weird inclusivity stuff they been doing nowadays, I think a lot more people would joined the armed forces

Fun fact: there is an easter egg that references starship troopers directly. Its a planet called "KLEN DATH II"
You're leaving a lot on the table by immediately extracting after the mission is done. Complete all the side objectives and outposts. Gives you more requisition points and stuff. Look for flashing gold lights in the distance because you can get extra medals, requisition points and stuff. Some abandoned bunkers and things will have extra ammo, grenades and stims. Also collect samples which can be used to upgrade your ship which will be in handy later. Samples drop when you die though so you'll need to retrieve them when you or teammates die
