Those Vietnam vets are no joke. My teacher in high school was a Vietnam vet and had a flashback. He was giving us a lecture on the Vietnam War and ended up pausing for a few seconds. He then yelled "Incoming! Get to cover," jumped behind his desk pulled the stem off his apple, yelled "grenade out" tossed it at a classmate and hit him in the head. My classmate wasn't really hurt but he was stunned like the rest of us. It wasn't funny at the time, but afterwards, everyone found it funny. 😆

Here’s what our squad does on helldive:
We have two runners and two slayers pulling as much aggro and killing shit as efficiently as possible. From what we can tell, if you can focus all the spawns on one area other areas chill out. I play slayer role, and our team takes a rail gun, an auto cannon, breakers, orbital lasers 500kg and rocket pods.
Runner team runs stealth bonus armor with smoke orbitals and jump packs to zip around grabbing the main objective and samples.
For terminids, it’s been super effective and fun :)

Tip for chargers btw Cross. Put 2 50% railgun shots into one leg to break the armor and shoot the unarmored leg with your primary. Saves railgun ammo and makes chargers much easier to take down.
Another tip when they’re chasing you if they rush into a rock or strong debris it will cause them to stagger for a few seconds.
Feel like the armor break is bugged sometimes. No pun intended. I’ll clearly see broken armor and still get the deflect icon and deal no damage.

Helldivers 1 has three more difficulties higher than "Helldive", with the highest being "The inner circle of Hell". So be prepared that there might at some point be more
Difference being that HD1's Helldive difficulty was 12 instead of 9 like this one. I'm sure they'll add more difficulties to HD2 though.

I am genuinely so proud of the game, im a Helldivers 1 player and seeing the active playerbase for H2 on PC alone increasing by 100k players each day is mind blowing!

@@tacoboy2218exactly, the average player base from the start was like 126k, in the last days it jumped from that to 226k to 330k. It's absolutely absurd. Not just that, they maintain those numbers... I have never seen a game do this.

For Helldive difficulty staying mobile is key. Staying stationary for to long or in one area for to long is a good say to sap your resources.
The real hard mode is getting a squad with matchmaking.

I had to close down the game and then restart just to get matchmaking to work.
If only match making was like Deep Rock Galactic. Just pick a mission and join players who's already there.

Helldivers is a dream come true for people like me who put thousands of hours in Mass effect 3 MP back in 2012.4 players coop, objectives and extraction fighting against hordes of enemies....no other game has been able to replicate those moments until now.Pure and unaltered FUN

I think the 'Meta' for helldive is not so much run from everything but more pick your fights and be able to stand your ground when you need to.
That and sometimes waiting around for a bit to wait for Strats makes life so much more liveable. I'm running eagle bombs, cluster, 100kg rockets. Probably gonna just focus and get the 500kg when I can then supplement with a heavy weapon. Auto cannon for now. Probs rail later.
@@chimeraelitethe 500kg bomb is bait. I unlocked it and it’s kind of bad. The 110 Eagle strike is WAY better. If you want big single target damage the orbital rail cannon is better.
@@chimeraelite The game is a push and pull between finishing quickly and staying long enough to grab samples or other objectives. Things get worse the longer you take so seeing nothing but armored enemies starts becoming the norm. I hope the spawn rate gets fixed or retuned because jesus, it's insane sometimes.

My personal loadout for helldives:
Medium armor with additional stim inventory and duration-that extra duration is life saving since you can be getting pummeled and be able to wiggle your way out just in time and still be at full health and some cases save you from a teammates poorly place stratagem.
Middle ground of mobility and durability keeping you agile and avoiding most one shots.
Gear: Personal shield generator- mitagates alot of damage conserving stims for when your really need them and helps from being stun locked in most situations. *This is optional and can be substituted for a 500kg or my preferred optional the orbital railcannon that's sole purpose is for quick charger kills
Weapons:
Machine pistol-if your primary runs outta ammo it's always faster to switch to your secondary than to reload. Can change fire rate to semi so it's just like the base pistol but with a bigger mag but I recommend full auto.
Breaker No explanation needed.
Railgun-"learn weak points and armor ratings, it's a precision weapon" You can one tap bile titans to the mouth/shred a chargers leg armor in 2 shots then dissmeber the leg with breaker or follow up with a 3rd sometimes 4th to secure the kill/one tap bile spewers to the chest (don't shoot the sack on back. it's bait and a waste of ammo unless your using breaker to take them down that way).
Stratagems: There should be a good mix of firepower and utility in team composition.
Eagle strike- quick call in/decent cooldown, predictable blast for danger close, can plug a couple holes before moving in or wipe out entire groups of enemies and shred armor on beefier targets for quick clean up.
Gatling barrage-short cool down, decent lingering time. throw it on bug breeches/choke points/incoming waves. It's main purpose is to thin herds conserving your primary ammo and creating breathing room so your squad can focus on the bigger targets that spawned in with the small fry.
General tips:
Avoid calling in stratagems on bile titans unless you know your gonna get collaterals. I know they're big and scary but if everyone uses they're railguns properly they can be dealt with quickly before they become an actual threat.
Avoid using sentry turrets. They're excellent for defense missions but in mobile missions and open ground theyre more of a liability to get you or an ally killed, limit your movement, aggro unwanted patrols or in quite a few cases be destroyed before they can net any results. Consistent results is key.
Im farming 7s so cant speak on 9s but sentrys with 50% ammo and the low friction thing are amazing, but team does need to be aware of them. Or they will die. An autocannon placed a bit back with some statics for slow will clear a breach on its own more or less
A gatling will shoot forever, spin fast, clear trash left and right
The meta for this game is team dynamics if your team has their weapons and stratagems centered around one another you can take any threat instantly, bug breaches dont exsit anymore because all 4 of you drop everything you see when working together
What makes this game soooo good is that the Enemies are Legitimately trying to kill you AT ALL TIMES instead of just running routines.
Now we gotta Helldive with the Automatons. You would get a kick out of endless Annihilator Tanks and Obliterator Hulks.
The incentive for helldiver level is freedom and democracy.
Plus the chaos hahahahahahaha FREEEEEEEEEEDOM.
I don't remember the last time I was so exited to watch gameplays of a new game. I don't even have perspective to buy it right now, but it's so enjoyed just watching it. I am play mostly single player and story driven games, but this game got me in a way I can't explain

Yeah TH-cam is wildly unpredictable with their guidelines. Unfortunately you just have to play it safe, else the whole video gets demonetized for a single word on screen.

Pro tip for cross/anyone doing higher difficulties: learn to use the disposable anti-tank, one shot to the front of a charger will strip the armor, you get two per drop and the cooldown is so low you can pretty much constantly have one up/on you. Also the orbital rail gun shot or 500lb eagle should oneshot bile titans

Orbital railgun can't 1 shot a titan.

Shoot the leg of the charger with the railgun (in safe mode) twice. The armor will be destroyed and 4-5 shotgun shots to the leg will kill it. Meaning you have 10 charger kills in one railgun (if you don't refill ammo of course).
you can save the railgun for armor stripping bc mag dumping primary into the stripped leg kills easy

its amazing really, as you progress through the game you feel yourself improving, from medium being hard to hard being impossible then you slowly improve, learn all the kinks and weaknesses, the best way to take out stuff, when to engage and when to fight then you hit helldive where all your learned knowledge all brings it all together to fight tooth and nail against endless hordes of normal to elite enemies, this game is amazing.

Bug spawn rate is tied to the amount of nests on the map. Prioritise nests to lower the spawn rate. Godspeed, Helldiver!

Can't wait till he sees the Inner Circle of Hell Difficulty (Difficulty 15) possibly be added in later. As for the 2nd game I pretty much rushed to lvl 50 within the 1st week and just stress tested loadouts. Best I found was 500 kg bomb, railgun, personal shield, and rail cannon strike, I recommend the scorcher or Breaker as they are great at taking out hunters which will be on you constantly. Soloing is hell too, just avoid any planetary modifier that increase the call in timer and be sneaky. As for objectives, do all main and optional objectives, avoid nests like the plague. You can skip the nests and still get a Glorious Victory.
Actually, you can kill the entire wave of beetles - you just have to carefully monitor all the beetles, and if one of them raises its face up, begins to chirp and release a cloud of pheromones into the air - then you must kill it immediately, or you will get a new breakthrough with reinforcements.
The same thing with bots, the only difference is that bots can ONLY call for reinforcements from infantry - if you knock out all the infantry in a squad in the first seconds, you will quickly clear the area.
But in beetles, a breakthrough can be caused by all beetles, from small ones to the brood commander. Only big spitters, chargers, stalkers and titans can't do this - everyone else can do it.
Therefore, approaches to fighting them should be different - if the bots have a LOT of armor, then they need powerful guns. But for beetles - you need a weapon that can inflict massive damage on unarmored targets as quickly as possible - the steelwart, for example, is almost ideal, because with its rate of fire you can quickly mow down all the small things and concentrate on finishing off the remaining ones.
P.S.
The Tesla Turret is actually VERY powerful - but it is EXTREMELY dependent on positioning. If you place it in a place where enemies cannot reach it in the first 3 seconds after entering its affected area, it can fry a very large number of enemies. She just needs about 3 seconds to charge, and of course, so that enemies don’t rush towards her in a huge crowd, she’s still not omnipotent.
But if you place it, for example, on a small hill in a narrow place, it will be very difficult for the beetles to pass by it alive.
And against bots, any turrets are not particularly useful, except mortar ones. And then they need to be hidden, because they still find them and destroy them.
1:40 With the rail cannon I would suggest going for the legs on the crusher or charger after two clean shots you open a weak spot where you can use light armor penetrating rounds to kill it really fast.
The real weak points on them are the legs but you have to break the armor first before you can hit its weak points.

This game looks like a blast but since i got it a few days ago I can barely get in the servers. And when I finally do it says theres nobody else playing no matter if I matchmake or try to directly join someone.

as it is now yes there needs to be some kind off endgame reward for helldiver difficulty, with there current cap of 50k an unlocking everything at level 20 you have nothing to really farm for other then samples, also i don't yet understand why the max level is 50 unless thy plan to add more items to your starship that is unlocked at higher levels, but i also hope thy well put in like assault or defend strongholds
Main trouble is once you die you get boned cause it’s hard to get your kit back from drops. I’d love to have the backpacks and heavy weapons drop with us.
I feel like they could offer weapon upgrade/mod blueprints for higher difficulties. Nothing too drastic, maybe just being able to change more of the guns, light the liberator penetrator could go full auto instead of being burst. Small stuff but still something. Or adding semi-elemental. They already have heat rounds. And acid is huge in the game and maybe electric, but I think that’s just the arc gun and heat guns.

Use the railgun, you can kill everything you want. But you have to move constantly. You'll run out of ammo before you clear out a full horde on helldive
god, those helmwings is huge disadvantage
side note, u can cancel the long reloads if u melee
There should either be extra gear(cosmetic & stat) that you unlock by doing the highest difficulty or just rare mats/very high exp.
Special armor and weapons that you unlock with helldive medals you can only get in helldive mode. Sorta like raid weapons in D2.

Now we need perma death or one life mode difficultly for exoridarny heroes and legends in the making here. Those that win this mode shall be given medal of honor title and fame to be known for the entire galaxy to admire with given respect.
Idk if you know this, but the charger's weak spots are their front legs, use the railgun to knock off their armor and unload.
Man should adopt Rail and Shield Backpack. Makes the game trivial on Helldive. Edit: 10mins in, ah, he is converted! - Also for charges, save ammo. Two shots to the leg, half a SG225 mag to the leg and they're dead.
Honestly the shield is great in both solo runs and group play. The amount of times it's saved me from my own teams orbital bombs or a sneak attack from behind. I just fear they'll nerf it instead of making other backpacks better, like the I LOVE the laser backpack, he was my homie, but the amount of times it friendly fires me and team mates is too dam high. I know it's an intended mechanic but the rover backpacks should be the exception. Just don't nerf the backpack.
In the first game doing helldive will unlock a special cape
And there's a special machine gun that is obtainable only by completeing a lvl13 mission
U can 2 or 3 shot chargers with the rail gun if you break the armor on one of their front legs first then shoot the leg again. Thats like the only weak point that does increased damage on them.
Putting this here cuz I don't know if everyone knows this trick. You can use the railgun to destroy the front leg armor of chargers, and it opens a weak spot that allows you to use small arms fire and delete them.
Its normally 2 shots to the same leg then the weakspot opens up! So you don't end up needing to waste more railgun shots than necessary!
I've killed a charger in 2 railgun shots and 3-4 Breaker shots to that weak spot! Makes chargers trivial with good aim and a focus fire from teammates!
Having played Helldive a whole bunch, yes you can clear every bug and enter stealth again, but they'll be back lol
