We usually have pork rice soup in the morning or when we are sick - just like she said cos it's easy to swallow and the warm rice can also heal sore throat. we also have Yum Nua (beef salad) with rice or it can go pretty good with alcohol drinks as well. However, there's nothing wrong having them in the same time - Eric didnt mix beef salad in pork rice soup (if so, this is a bit weird). They can be your dinner..sometimes I have it like that too. I think she just wanna show something different from thai popular dishes like tom yum kung and pad thai.
I love Chrissy. She seems so comfortable in the kitchen, she is hilarious, and she is naturally so beautiful. I love that she likes to cook and really pays attention to how and what she prepares. Bravo Chrissy. Enjoyed this video!

I guarantee once Eric Ripert's close friend Anthony Bourdain hears his friend Eric's dream of going to Thailand one day, he will invite Eric a trip to Thailand on his upcoming new show on CNN. Anthony Bourdain loves to travel to Asia especially Thailand. This would be a very interesting trip for Ripert and Bourdain going through Thailand hearing Eric's opinion and perspective on Thai cuisine.
Having only been exposed to him on Top Chef, I didn't know Eric Ripert was so much fun. Having Chrissy on was a great idea. She has a really great spirit and she makes cooking approachable. I loved the style of interview, very casual. I am going to subscribe now!
I don't consider her a "Supermodel", that title gets used way too often now. She's very pretty, but I think I'd give her the title of "Super-cool" model. Eric is awesome.

first of all he's VERY handsome, second of all it's hilarious that he's trying to have a conversation because he's French and she's doing the American talking at a person and trying to say the right things and come off a certain way. ugh
is it just me or does she have a slightly lazy eye. nothing against her appearance, but i just cant shake the feeling that her left eye is a bit off atleast in the interview part.
i am thai and grew up in bk. this is not jok (rice porridge) because jok is made from day old rice. this is kao tom (rice soup). neither is peasant food. SERIOUSLY Eric is friends w/Jean George who cooked at the Bangkok Oriental for years. Chrissy is annoying and like a typical tourist who really doesn't know thai food.
