In Chile Cheetos are only stick shaped. The round ones didn't succeed, there's a brand call "Chis pop" (that's how cheese pop sounds in Spanish) that dominates the round shaped cheese snacks.
It doesn't have as distinct of melodies as its predecessors, but its tracks really capture the atmospheric vibe of their respective locations. A lot of this game's tracks go through my head when I'm out on hikes.
I don't know, there's something about that one that makes me not remember it as fondly as the other two. It did a lot of great things, but maybe it feels like they tried to do too much with it? Or maybe after the masterpiece that was DKC2, it was just all that more hard to top. I still love the game, but I just don't ever find myself having the desire to replay it as much as the others.
@@Amins88 I _just_ replayed it and man, I love it more than I did as a kid lol. The level design is maybe the best in the trilogy, and _most_ of the stages are quite fun to play and explore. DKC2 was a hard act to follow, and I'm glad Rare make didn't make DKC3 like a DKC2 - Part 2, it felt unique in its own way and I think fans should give it another try.
This really is an underrated game. DKC 2 was a tough act to follow, especially being that most of the staff that made DKC 1 and 2 so great weren't working much if at all on this game, because they were busy with what would later become DK 64. I think this game came out great, all things considered. DKC 2 just showed up on NSO today, I'm hopeful this will follow so I don't have to feel guilty about running it on an emulator whenever I feel like playing it. This really does deserve to be played more.
It felt completely off. No matter how many chances I give it, it just feels so weird. DKC is one of the best games ever made, and 2 is still the best sequel of all time. This felt like a cheap spinoff
This shit used to scare me as a kid. Now I’m jamming to it. I’m addicted to scary things and rock, and this is the best of both worlds. I wish Minecraft cave sounds were just the guitar riffs from this song.
I've always been addicted to scary things. seen too much in life as young kid. I see beauty in the terrifying things. Because to know the greatest joy is to know the greatest pain
DKC 3 probably has the best atmosphere out of all the DKC games. It's able to contrast the beauty of nature and childhood with the macabre and unnatural that comes with K. Rool's machines and his tampering with life to create KAOS, and I love it. I love how they decided with DKC 2 and 3 to not just rehash the previous games, but instead to do something different.
I always hated those owls from Clash of the Titans that kept shooting them Cheetos. Always annoying that they kept following you everywhere but you can't do anything to them.
i used to have nightmares of this level when i was a kid, the saw level too, as a grown up ive learned to love it but idk why i found this so scary lol
Imagine if this was remastered for the Switch. I can just imagine in the third factory level a cool throwback with the "GET OUT!" from Donkey Kong 64 being used the instant you pass the sign. And yes. That guy that shoots you in that level is the same guy from Donkey Kong 64 that says "GET OUT!" It's confirmed. I always did wonder though what he looked like. I just imagine a cool looking Kritter wearing a cloak and high tech gear with red goggles holding a magma cannon with a red laser sight and it's freaking awesome just imagining it. I think the fact you don't see what Kroc looks like just adds to the intensity.
If they make a third DKC Returns game, I would love to have this song return in a level like this: You must tlrun and hide from robot tentacle arms that chase you throughout the level, like a mixture of the EMMI from Metroid Dread and Doc Ock's robot arms from Spider-Man 2.

Man, amazing work, but the guitars still sound midi although very impressed the improvement. If you want I can record real guitar for replacement. Just give me some feedback then I do it.
Pretty sure the point of these is to recreate the songs with the original samples, just in high (non-SNES) quality. Recording new samples is kinda missing the point, I think.
so good. this game was my favorite of the trio for its aesthetic and setting but most of the fucking soundtrack. love the others but theres something special about DKC 3 to me

Round Cheetos?
I wish someone would shoot me with cheetos
Never really thought of it like that before. Will never be able to un-think it either. Thanks.

The guitar and Kiddy dying at the same time at 0:20 is PERFECT.
F for Kiddy.
In flag too. 1:55
IMO the entire soundtrack of this game is criminally underrated.
It doesn't have as distinct of melodies as its predecessors, but its tracks really capture the atmospheric vibe of their respective locations. A lot of this game's tracks go through my head when I'm out on hikes.
@@Rodanguirus The wild lands in this game looked incredible considering what system they were on.

How come nobody's talkin about the bassline? That shit's funky
Eveline doing her thing rather than trying to emulate Wise's thing is when this soundtrack is at its best. I wish she'd gone for that more.
Actually yeah
Easily the best theme on the soundtrack, love the Kashmir-esque progression, bass lines and guitar effects.

Good old 90's industrial rock

Damn, this is bloody perfect. I feel so pumped and aggressive just listening to this. I think I need to play some Doom.
It really does seem like it would fit Doom
@@doomhouse3762
It does. I guarantee it. DKC3's tunes most of all fit Doom better than any other.
Kashmir by Led Zeppelin
Yes! I couldn't remember the name, but that's the song I always thought of.
Also, Nine Inch Nails

I thought this version wasn’t much different from the original at first.
I listened to the original. I take it back.
Best music to listen to while welding, running an antique blow torch or cutting metal with sparks flying.
Fully restored it sounds like a Nine Inch Nails song, would be perfect on The Downward Spiral.
That's amazing... I never thought such restorations and remasterings were ever possible... We need more... Much more!!!
Anyone else get a Nine Inch Nails vibe out of this? It wouldn't surprise me if Wise was at least partially surprised by their work
This one's Eveline Fischer but yes definitely NIN inspired
Kashmir Led Zeppelin.
This is essentially Ministry and Trent Reznor's cover of Kashmit.
My favorite song of this game. It’s such a bop
My personal favorite is rockface rumble but I respect this.
LaMereACaniche that shit nice too
One of my favorites too. Always a great day when Sam uploads haha 💜💜💜
Second favourite here. It's an amazing tune =)
@@LaMereACaniche no way, Rockface Runble is my favourite too!

I prefer this over Fear Factory because of how much more sinister it sounds, befitting a company owned by King K. Rool.
If I built and opened a steel mill Id have this music blast throughout the entire work schedule
Nailed it ! Waiting for the guitar riff
One of the best DKC tracks!
Successor to Fear Factory

I suppose it's a side effect of the higher sound quality, but don't the snares lack some punch compared to the original SNES version?
Fond memories of me and my sister improvising lyrics to this while trying our best Trent Reznor impressions
Too bad this amazing song's name will be always associated with... Another certain game by Rare...
That’s in Rare’s ‘Post Microsoft’ epoch where after M$ acquired them they turned to #%*€. Y
Nuts and Bolts is one of the best lego adventure games ever created, just happens to have the Banjo license slapped on it.
I loved Nuts and Bolts as a kid. Had a bunch of hours just screwing around on the test course and the island.
