Hey fritz, I have to give you all the credit in the world, you sure dont give up!!! If that had been my plane, I would have given up on it when it first crashed! I envy your motivation and your drive! My drive would have been to the hobby shop to get a different plane! Really enjoyed the video, keep up the great work, Robert
Great video, thank you for sharing the good, bad, and the ugly. Remember kids, you can never have too many clamps.
Great video, Fitz! Great repair demo as well. Repairing the old cowl instead of using the new one was a good touch. Many people today can use good repair advice. Keep the good vids coming.
Thanks, Bud.
Lookin forward to watching this video! I fell in love with the Savage Bobber ever since the first time I saw one online.
I must have watched your initial build of the savage bobber 5-6 times.. truly enjoy that .. watching this replay now👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Funny video! I love to see how you fix the plane.
What a story! just like watching a suspense movie.
Good job Man and so pleased you stuck with Her !!! 😉😎
That's a great video your best 😊I think. The Savage Bobber is well named she takes no prisoners.
Good work its also good to see you can laugh at your self when you crashed it and didnt blame it on something other than your self
Love you're videos! Big smiles during this video. It's awesome watching you fly! One hell of a modeler and very helpful for fellow pilots.
An inspiration to those of us who might be prone to just giving up on a model after a crash like that.
Great landing, great flight(flights), and fantastic honest video. I’ve been looking forward to your maiden flight video on the bobber and now it all makes sense… this videos timing is perfect as I am literally starting my savage bobber today!!!! All of the information you have passed on is GREATLY APPRECIATED, thank you so much for sharing your experience. 🙏
Thanks. I hope you saw the point about the CG and differential throws.
I did, and I will remember that. also I will remember not to get too acrobatic when it’s in the air. 🤠
I've flown the small version of this. The tricky thing about it is that it has an open fuselage, and so wind that gets pushed back to the rudder and elevator for a response takes a bit of time because the open fuse bleeds it out.
Interesting theory.
Great video on the process. You are the second TH-camr I've seen to have that exact crash with a no fuselage covering Cub. If it worked that well, they wouldn't be so rare.
I’ve got one ready for the madden flight, got me a little worried.great video
thanks for the video that was awsome. thanks for showing us things can be fixed not just replaced
Great job Fitz…
Excellent repair, Excellent redemption flight sir👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Aw man sad to see it go in. These Bobbers seem to all find a quick demise. Need's a placard saying "Spins and Knife Edge PROHIBITED"
That's the key. It flies just fine, you just can't throw it around the sky like many other planes. That's where people get in trouble.
I wouldn't be surprised if the full-scale has a caution against spins.
Hi Fitz glad you got it repaired and test flown
love your channel and i truly enjoyed this episode. one of the best so far! from now on you should provide more crashes like this on the regular basis 😂
Nice rebuild! The 'naked' fuselage probably doesn't help during a spin to resume clean airflow over the tail surfaces.
I sure enjoy your videos,. Thank you
…more power Scotty…!
fancy the spinner that jumped in after the resurrection
I like the way you executed your plan of action to repairing the damaged plane, it was a textbook operation, well done.
Hahaha!!!! Lord Vader in the cockpit 😂😂👍🏼
Hahahahaha I already love the intro...!
You should cover the fuselage with clear covering. That way you (somewhat) retain it's scale appearance but gain improved flight characteristics.

Really cool 🛩
Hello friend, very good, spectacular. A big greeting from Buenos Aires.
🇦🇷🙋🇦🇷
glad you got it sorted out Fitz! you should do a video on the seagull ERcoupe next.
loved the rebuild here although one was enough 🤣🤣🤣🤣 great looking plane that now ill take a rebuild of the F14 🤣🤣🤣🤣
thanks that was super //
Tail Heavy Productions crashed one, that one was electric and suffered from adverse p-factor.
12 pack of beer and that’ll go back together just fine
The plane looks very light weight but is not. The Hangar 9 Carbon Cub has the same spanwidth but weights about 2.5kg less. ... oh and I forgot... the ARF model is also very expensive.
2 heavy. looks like a good hangar queen.
Another enjoyable video. Interesting observation is your garden fence has alternating panels? You don’t see that in the uk. The boundary owner gets the rail side.
Very common in the US where you share a border with another house.
@@HobbyView In the UK the owner of the fence has to have the rough side. I prefer your system.
Great video 👌 I think maybe Indiana Jones would be a touch better pilot. That StarWars dude cant see over the dash..
What model is that WORK DRIVER (the one with the dead batttry)? A what MAKE and MODEL was that HOT AIR BLOWER you were using?

Good job! Could you give us your exact new CG in mm from the leading edge? I got the same plane, but there's two different CG values in the instructions. My other question is what kind of battery/Milliamps are you using for your receiver as you are using HV-servos? Thanks!
Hmm, I only see one value, but mine is now at 140mm from LE.
Yes, using HV Servos on a single 2s, 5,000mAh LiPo.
@@HobbyView thanks a lot that helps!! (the German distributor put an extra note in the instructions...)
I still have the stock landing gear for you.
Oh yea. I'll try to get it from you next event or something.
finally 😁😁
Some plane's enjoy the walk of shame
Even with pilot error the landing gear looks weak.
Wearing that jacket while flying a plane with a Sith pilot will cause a Trek War.
🇺🇸💎🙏👍 !!!
Dude! BLACK zip tie, not white! Show some class with your hacking skills so we all don't get a bad rep.
Yeah, these appear to be great fliers but yours is the second vid I've seen showing the Bobber doesn't recover from a spin. Otherwise I'd say it's a great Putt Putt.
Yea, I wanted to use a black one, but didn't have any long enough.
Actually, if you look closely, it came out of the spin just before it hit. If I had another 10 feet, I likely could have pulled out of it.
@@HobbyView The lack of that 10ft wormhole is what keeps most hobby shops in business.
@@kmatch1 , It's called recovering below ground level.
To sand epoxy without a dust mask is not a good idea.....
Looks like it flies like a brick.
Savage bobber - your mom's nickname. jk
Some comments should be kept to yourself. Kidding or not.

TOTALLED!
fly much? lmao
maybe rc boating perhaps. flying is not your strong point.
