A happy band of free flighters enjoying that lovely evening, As i was guarding the scale hanger I wondered what all the clapping was about good to see that great Sopwith landing, well done to you all ..
I have limited mobility now, can only do RC, I started with FF back in the 40's sticking 1/4A and 1/2A engines on Comet, Berkeley and Sterling models. Even had a smelly McCoy .049 diesel.
That Comper Swift by Andrew Moorhouse just after the two minute mark was a beautiful plane. I have a Peanut Scale version still in its box I'm waiting to build.
Thanx for uploading that - I was in the crowd - it was just wonderful to see those jewel-like models take to the sky themselves - I showed this to the wife as she wondered what I was blabbering about - even she was appreciative:-)!
For competition purposes with the BMFA, the rules for 2022 are yet to be finalised but look likely to be a max engine size for IC models 2.5cc max weight without fuel 2Kg, rubber 500g without Rubber and Electric/CO2 1Kg less fuel/batteries. Away from comps there maybe size and weight restrictions in place at various flying sites
Electrics aren't my area of knowledge unfortunately but somewhere like this would be able to help www.hippocketaeronautics.com/hpa_forum/index.php?board=17.0
