What a touchy story that brought tears to my eyes. Cody Garbrandt, defined is own odds and still have times to motivate to fight for his life... if this is not a feel good story what is?
Tears man… hard to find the right words to express the rekindled emotion this story inspires. It really captures some of the best attributes of the human spirit: compassion, kindness, altruism, true grit, to rise above like a phoenix from the ashes of difficult circumstances out of your control, the will to overcome despair and fight when facing life n death adversity, and perseverance
Yeah this was what made me a fan of Cody's back in the day not his fighting which was so good at 1 point but this was just such a touching story how could you hate him

I've never been a fan of Garbrandt, even though we come from the same great state of Ohio. I never knew this extremely touching story, this made me a fan. Also that performance against Dominic Cruz was one of the best performances ever!!!

Very emotional story, you got to give it to Cody that night he fought Dominic he would have beat anybody in front of him. And I'm happy Maddox is doing well now. Thank God he could grow up and be a normal little boy.

Almost makes me like Cody. The fight with Cruz is one of the all time greatest. He has only had 1 or 2 good fights since then though. I think it was his time as a TUF coach that really made a bad impression on me. Still, I have no ill will toward the guy. Kudos to him for being a big brother to to Maddux.
Dominated all 5 rounds? Dont get me wrong it was a great performance but that is truly BS. The scorecards all read 3-2 but with varying rounds with only round 3 and 4 being consistently for Garbrant. He most certainly won but he certainly didnt dominate the fight. This is one of those fights were people were blinded by the spectacle and his flashy moves and dancing but as far as effective striking actually went it was a fairly even fight
