Nothing wrong with the bath the way it was before. A lot of expense to have no effect on functionality. How much time do you really spend in that room?

The half wall next to the toilet alone was worth the time and expense. I am sure the extra light that change allows greater functionality in that bathroom. Also, the after is much more pleasing aesthetically.
