Is everybody on social security. Ssi. Is supposed to get this I've asked so many people but no one seems to give me a answer. Please coming back.Thank you.I hope we all do because we definitely need it
@@martinneps9387 It depends on what update you’re asking about. Most Social Security updates, like the payment schedule or general benefit changes, apply to everyone receiving Social Security or SSI. But some changes, like specific adjustments or new policies, might only affect certain groups, like retirees or those with disabilities.
Why does the government take out money from social security. And give that money to other countries. That’s is stealing we worked all our life. They should take money from Joe Biden he got lots of money from other countries. 😮
@@TammyBrailey Absolutely, I very strongly believe that the MAGA Repug's are wanting to rid the world of all elderly people, all poor people, all disabled people, all homeless people and all people of color!!! PERIOD. This is Trump's plan, all along! Not only has he ran for office to stay out of prison but, he wants to decrease the world's population!! So does Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk. Think about that, strongly! And you think Trump ran for office to help us/you?
Low income workers are also low Social Security earners. Last year my rent jumped up $400/month - my SS payment increased $35!! I now end up with approx $27 more than rent. I challenge anyone to live on less than One Dollar a day. Without Food Stamps I would be dead.
That’s an incredibly difficult situation, and it’s heartbreaking that so many are forced to stretch their Social Security benefits so thin. A $35 increase doesn’t come close to matching the rising costs of rent, food, and other essentials. It’s a harsh reality that highlights the gaps in support for low-income workers and retirees. Thank goodness for food stamps helping you get by, but no one should have to live like this. You’re not alone, and your story is a powerful reminder of why these systems need real reform.
Reminder, SS was ment to Supplement your retirement, not Supply the entire retirement. Also the Government has raided the funds since the 1930s thinking more than half the population world be deceased by age 65.
The 2.5% COLA for 2025 provides a modest increase in benefits for Americans receiving Social Security and SSI payments, helping to offset the rising cost of living and inflation. This increase offers essential financial relief for vulnerable populations like retirees. But on the contrary, the avg. American is having a tough time, I know I am not alone. There are others in same position as me. By certain statistics: 22% of americans have no retirement savings. 64% are worried that they will not have money in latter years while 47% of adults who are not yet retired think they have to work part-time in retirement. How can I best grow the 100k I have saved seperately outside retirement access which of course had depleted over the years?
It's recommended to save at least 20% of your income in a 401k. You can use online calculators to estimate how much you should save based on your age and income. Saving at least 20% of your income in a 401(k) can help ensure that you have enough money to retire comfortably. By saving this much, you can take advantage of compound interest and potentially grow your retirement savings over time. Individuals can seek counsel from a certified financial advisor to optimise financial outcomes, who can provide specialised advice and methods to decrease expenses and maximise income.
I completely agree; I am in my mid 40s, approaching retirement, and have approximately over 2million dollars in external retirement funds. I am debt free and have very little money in retirement funds compared to the total value of my portfolio over the past three years. To be honest, the Fin-advisor can only be neglected, not rejected. Just do your due diligence to identify a fiduciary one.
That's such a tough situation, and it’s honestly heartbreaking that so many people are stuck trying to make ends meet on so little. If someone’s in that spot, they might need to look into assistance programs for housing, food, and utilities to help stretch those dollars further. Local community centers, food banks, or even nonprofits sometimes have resources that can really make a difference. Nobody should have to face that kind of struggle alone.
This is not fairer They are millions of elderly people REALLY already are sleeping on America sidewalks already homeless All across the United States How could you say this is fair REALLY BELIEVE IT OR NOT 🇺🇸IT'S REALLY AMERICA
You’re absolutely right. Seeing elderly people struggle with homelessness is heartbreaking and a major concern. Programs like Social Security and affordable housing initiatives are meant to help prevent this, but it’s clear more needs to be done. What do you think would be the best first step to address this crisis and ensure every senior has a safe place to live?

That’s tough, but it’s incredible that you were able to pay off your house during such a challenging time. That’s a huge accomplishment and likely a big reason you’ve been able to stay stable despite limited income. If you haven’t already, it might be worth checking out local food banks or community programs that can help supplement your resources. You’ve done so much already-hang in there!
That’s so frustrating, and unfortunately, it’s a situation a lot of people face. When Social Security increases even a little, it can lower eligibility for things like food stamps, which ends up canceling out the benefit. It doesn’t feel fair, especially when every dollar counts. Hopefully, programs can find a better balance to truly help people instead of shifting the burden. You’re not alone in feeling this way.

Anyone complaining about rent and cost of living on SS only . The only thing I can say is you didn’t plan your life right . Maybe you were on disability but I know people on that and they get a truck load of freebies.
While it’s exciting to see big players like them push for economic changes, I think seniors and retirees should tread carefully. These plans often come with ripple effects, especially when it comes to our benefits. It might be a good time to reassess our financial strategies
It’s easy to get swept up in the excitement, but Social Security is a lifeline for so many. Having a financial advisor to navigate potential changes might be a smart move. I’ve been working with an advisor since 2020, and their insights have saved me from making some costly mistakes.

We can barely make it and because of people like you blaring everytime someone gets a few dollars extra like the last cola some agency takes all but $5 before we see it Trust me your announcements aren't helping things. For those who you are helping be more specific and say SSI .
You’re absolutely right, it’s important to be clear about who is affected by specific updates. SSI payments are separate from regular Social Security retirement or disability benefits, and not everyone receiving Social Security gets SSI. The early payments mentioned apply specifically to SSI recipients, while other Social Security benefits follow the regular payment schedule based on factors like birth date or when benefits started.
We like to keep things balanced and focus on the facts that impact Social Security recipients directly, regardless of political affiliation. Social Security affects everyone, and the goal here is to provide clear, helpful information. Thanks, we’re always open to feedback!

I wish you would clarify who gets these checks it is not the majority of people receiving social security it is SSI a different sector of Social Security so say SSI you have the whole nation believing all of Social Security is getting these payments.
I believe it when I see it I think its all just content
Didn't we hear this last months. Believe it when i see it.
This video seems a little slanted towards the democratic party. Why is this political?
We like to keep things balanced and focus on the facts that impact Social Security recipients directly, regardless of political affiliation. Social Security affects everyone, and the goal here is to provide clear, helpful information. Thanks, we’re always open to feedback!
