Yes, possibly, most of those techniques can be done with xp400 as well, much more control on pc side.. but when a circuit is troublesome trying to read in circuit can take a long time with trial and error.. in most cases I'll just lift a pin or 2, or just pull the chip since it usually takes just a minute..
If you have experience removing components I'd recommend lifting Vcc and S or just pulling the chip, if not in circuit reading options may be better, it's not hard to rip a pad or burn a chip with too much heat. Especially on this board you would need to mix with low melt solder to remove in a timely fashion..

@@globalcommerce7654 yeah me I just use the xp400pro cause it’s the best I got and if I do 2 reads and they don’t match I just hot air it off and move on with life. One day I might get an ar32 but it’s not high on the priority list. The lightning truck I’m still waiting on 2 things for it to be completely finished hopefully. This gm strike has put a hold up on getting a new hvac control module and a passenger front window switch lol.
If you already had the flash files couldn't you just write it with the IM608 and the XP400?. Just trying to write a flash without manufacturer software and hardware.
On this ecm, eeprom contains security data but the ecm data the actually controls the engine is stored on the mcu, most programmers cannot successfully manipulate this mcu, quicker and easier to just flash and update to the relevant calibration to the exact vehicle/engine it will serve.
How can I get cda6? Do you sell that software?

@globalcommerce7654 writing a file with hp tuners. I've tried grounding the top solder joint for a second and trying to re write the original file with no luck. it just says no protocol detected.
