Hi, I really enjoy this chapter. I find it interesting how Peter was and how some of us can also be "not focused' on Jesus. Peter was called in the beginning in Matthew chapter 4 from what he was doing at the beginning of John 21. He said, "I am going fishing'". The others decided to join him. Peter leading the pack, being the outspoken one. After all that he had been through with Jesus, he decided to go fishing. Isn't it easy for us to accept Jesus and later in life just get into a routine of what we are used to doing? Peter went back to fishing after the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. Yes, we have our everyday lives of work, but it now has new meaning. We go into the world to be the light to the world of Jesus. This is what I found interesting in this chapter that resonated with me. Jesus asked three times Peter if he loved him. If so, then feed my sheep. Jesus was getting his attention. But did Jesus get his attention fully? As we move into what Jesus says after the three questions and direction, Jesus speaks a prophetic word. But what was Peter concerned with? He was concerned about the disciple that Jesus loved. If you say this about me...what about this man. So often we can be focused on others and what Jesus is doing in their life and miss the message Jesus is teaching us and commanding us. Good thing for us the message is the same...FOLLOW ME! Don't worry about any other person, but follow Jesus. I find myself at times following Jesus I look at others, and this really hit home with me to look just to Jesus. Thank you for sharing your video. Blessings in Christ!
Thank you again! My Girlfriend and I sat in our car, eating In and Out burgers, and totally enjoyed this powerful message. Thank you for making bible study easy and accessible. We will be praying for the BT team.
What a beautiful chapter!! Thank you so much for shedding some light into all chapters of the book of John. John taught me to always fix my eyes on Jesus. No matter the naysayers, the doubters, the gossipers, even the ones that are set in theirs ways.. love them, pray for them, don’t judge them and still spread the Word of God! Follow Him! The Gospel of John is not like the other Gospels. It is not primarily a retelling of Jesus’ life and His actions. John had another purpose-to display Jesus’ identity as God. He began his Gospel with that truth stating, “the Word was God” (JOHN 1:1). And John plainly explained the purpose of his Gospel in JOHN 20:31, “But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.” Amen🙏🏾❤️
Thank You Pastor Jared, Such a powerful and important Word! You unpacked it beautifully. May we all take these important words of Jesus our Savior to heart, and live by them sincerely. A very Happy Thanksgiving to all in your ministry.
I feel as if it has something to do with him denying him multiple times (peter seemed like a hot-headed person) this is all just speculation of course but we’ll never really know.
God is The Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is God, he is one of the Trinity: they are three distinct persons. God the Father, His only begotten son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit ,all three together are God and they make up what Christians call God.
Thank you❤
Thanks.

my lord --whether both the johns are the same ? gospel of john and revelations
Yes!
Why would he only ask Peter this? Why didn't he ask the whole group if they loved him?
I feel as if it has something to do with him denying him multiple times (peter seemed like a hot-headed person) this is all just speculation of course but we’ll never really know.
AND MAYBE THERE ARE MORE STILL HEAR
Isn’t John 21 a later addition?
WHAT ABOUT HOW LONG DUS JOHN LIVE MAYBE JOHN IS STILL HEAR...... MAYBE JOHN IS STILL ALIVE NOW
John is alive up in Heaven.
gospel of john ; john the baptist and revelations --whether john are the same ?
