The book of John is one of my favorite books of the bible, I was amazed with how you were able to handle such difficult core Christian belief, and make it easier to understand for the the rest of us. So, I'm confused, someone help me understand. In John 3:5 he says "unless one is born of water and the spirit, he can not enter the kingdom of heaven " but then in John 3:16 it says "whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life" - so which is it? You have to be baptized and born again, or you just have to believe? Depending on where you're at in your spiritual journey, they wouldn't necessarily be mutually exclusive. - things like this verse are why I'm here. Everytime I try to read the Bible on my own I get so confused but having people who can explain it helps.
Hey it is okay to ask God things, you can pray to Him as He cares for you. Seems like The Holy Spirit led me to this comment. Asking The Holy Spirit to guide you through the day and help you understand what you’d be reading or hearing is good. Romans 8:5-6. I think it means being baptized is a big part of being born again. Acts 7:4. Our walk with God should be great fellowship-it is faith based not works based. It is important to love (love your neighbor as yourself) from The Law of Christ Luke 10:27-28, 1 Corinthians 13:4, & Galatians 5:18. The devil even believed Jesus, it is imperative to have not just faith in The Lord but The fear of God. Acts 21:26 & 13:45-46. Hope this helps :)
