- New Zealand's only looping Roller Coaster! Here is an On-Ride POV from the Corkscrew Coaster, located at Rainbow's End Theme Park in Auckland, New Zealand!
The Corkscrew Coaster is an old-school Loop & Corkscrew coaster from Arrow Dynamics that opened in the park in 1986. The ride is currently the only looping coaster in New Zealand! It's a fun old school ride and surprisingly smooth.
This ride was once called the "Coca Cola Rollercoaster"!
While New Zealand is in desperate need of a modern Roller Coaster, this is still a solid classic ride and I hope Rainbow's End continue to keep it running!
Rainbow's End is New Zealand's only Theme Park / Amusement Park. It is located in Manukau City, Auckland!

I rode this ride 7 times in a row this morning. Only started to feel sick on the last one 😆 Rainbows End definitely need a bigger and better coaster but they cost $15M dollars! This is pretty good for our small country
I don't think even I could do 7 in a row... impressive! I agree, they do need a new modern coaster in the park. There are lots of models out that would do the job and aren't too expensive.

OMG i absolutely loooove this ride. ITS SO FUN! Totally recommend. I am afraid of roller coasters but this one is not even scary. ITS AWESOME! Next time you go to rainbow ends PLEASE RIDE SO FUN!!!

This is SO FUN I have been on it 2 times and I enjoyed it SO MUCH!!! I definitely recommend riding this coaster.

This ride used to be located at Sea World back then and it’s called sea viper
Close! This is a different ride, but it is indeed the same type of coaster as Sea Viper and uses the same layout

They need to upgrade it like they did to the log flume. Lick of paint and some new belts and maybe some new seats. Like the invader is going under ATM.

I think the park really needs a modern coaster. Corkscrew's from the late 80's and is probably nearing the end of it's shelf life.

This was filmed with a Gopro on a wrist strip. All safe and was allowed by the park
The last time I went on this rollercoaster, when the ride hit the bump at 1:05 it gave me a very sore back for hours and hours!
Yeah, it can be quite rough! One trip it was super smooth, the next trip it was very bumpy. Bit confusing...

Hahaha I remember back in the 90s Me and my church friends went to rainbows end they all left me to do what ever I like I went around so much rides but they were full so I look at the roller coaster there were no people there so I was the only one on there it was my first time men I was so adducted when I come back the men ask if I can go again I am happy to say yes three time he ask me again and I said yes and when I got back down I was so upset because I saw people coming to join so I decided to let them have a turn

there's pythons everywhere. i think vekoma/arrow just catalogued one and removed a loop here, changed a turn there to suit the customers needs and space requirements.

Park should get rid of this coaster and install a single rail launched coaster with a more interesting track like Luna Park Sydney has, could fit a second modern coaster in the area too. Maybe like LPS, add a modern family boomerang model as well for the youngsters.
I think they need a new coaster for sure. I'd personally keep this one if they can though. I like my heritage rides!

I wouldn't call it stupid! Melbourne's woody is a classic heritage attraction from 1912, and should be enjoyed as such. I'd like you guys to get a new modern coaster though. Aussie as a whole really needs more of them.

@@HazptMedia cant really compare auckland to the gold coast g haha and that roller coaster has been there since 1986 rainbows end cheaps out on flat rides now but cant really blame them its a pretty dead nowdays, i remember riding i think it was the superman coaster at movie world and being like fuck ours is shithouse compared to this 😂

Rainbows End is very LGBT friendly!
I almost dislocated my neck when I rode this ride as a kid, the loops really got me. I never went back on it after that.
