Sung by The Stairwell Carollers, an a cappella group, formed in 1977 by director Pierre Massie.
The Ottawa group has earned the distinction of being ranked amongst the best of Ontario choirs in both the 2010 and 2013 Ontario Music Festival Association competition.
A non-profit organization, we raise funds for local charities through concert, CD and cookbook sales.

Definitely the best version I've found so far. Right tempo and excellent dynamic sympathy. We used to sing this every may day from the top of a tower for those on their way to breakfast. I miss those days.

I am 25 now. Back when I was a preteen schools in South Africa KZN province to be exact used to compete with this song. Reminiscing on my school days bought me here🇿🇦👌so beautiful❤️
When we were privileged to sang in the University choir of Stellenbosch in South Africa, way back in 1966, we sang this song as a farewell song whenever we had a proper opportunity. This choir sang it in the same way as we did, which was quite excellent. It brings back very fond memories. In our choir leader Philip McLachlan's studio was the Dutch words written..." vrees niet waar weerklinkt het lied, slegte mensen zingen niet " !!

We only have 3 in our version, so not sure what the other 3 are. The choice tho repeat at the end was an artistic one by the director.
