I agree. I live in a border state being affected. This has gone too far. They have no tracking system, are paying for these asylum seekers and Americans are suffering. I want to be clear that I am NOT against allowing immigrants to come to the US. However, there needs to be a legal process. Letting everybody in is NOT the answer. My husband is Mexican American. His father came here via work visa and got his citizenship the proper way. Their family agrees. We've seen our neighborhoods heavily affected. What was once a family neighborhood is now full of homelessness, and there are more tents everyday.... Now they are putting up to 12 in one apartment with a bunch of bunkbeds across from my friends place. Who is vetting the men with children and bo mothers? How are they sure these kids belong to whoever they are traveling with? It's truly scary! It saddens me and I pray everyday for those children.

First, I'm an Independent, a retired federal officer and all for helping people, and all for Legal Immigration; my wife immigrated here to go to school 35 years ago, and it was difficult for her and took years to get approved. So this is not fair in my mind. Too bad Biden doesn't like this border enforcement. Our country, because of government has sponsored illegal immigration and over 1,000,000 "got-aways" (people who came to the US illegally and the government doesn't even know who they are or where they are from) we are at a VERY HIGH risk of more terrorist attacks. Super high risk....I never thought any president would ever allow this; Biden has violated so many federal laws in doing so. I recently spoke to a migrant family of 4 in Charlottesville Virginia who crossed the border in December 2023. The woman told me that the Border Patrol did not even ask for positive ID as to who they were, but they were given cash and bus tickets to Washington DC. They said the Border Patrol asked for an address where, in about 10 years, a subpoena could be sent for them to appear in Immigration Court to determine if they could stay here. He said they would not stick around to get the subpoena and wouldn't even go to court if they had received one. They were very happy, even proud. They bought a Ford van (which had expired tags) and were headed back to Texas to be with family and "work there". She also told me that they crossed the border "with some very, very bad people...lots of them". Crime is on the rapid rise because these immigrants are desperate. And Joe Biden doesn't care; in fact he supports it. He won't even do this for our own homeless and disabled vets. If you are one of those Democrats who say "Help the migrants, open the borders", I highly recommend posting your address here so the illegals know where to go for food, clothing and housing. You won't mind, will you? And, by the way, try sneaking into any other country illegally, including Canada, and see if you don't go to prison.......
