okay so i'm depressed. the ending of s2 K!LLED ME. And if you follow me in twitter you know that i'm really mad at how they killed the darkling, the wasted potential, the wrong lines.... everything wrong, but i still love this ship so much, so i needed to vid them.
Throughout the video i used black and white to highlight the opposite sides and the bitterness of their relationship, because I feel like the writers misunderstood their relationship and forgot how melancholic and tragic their story was in the books, so here i am trying to made them justice :D (with a tswift song ofc)

The fact that the Darkling's death is less impactful in terms of the Darklina ending is because, I hope, it's not the end for them.
Alina literally has shadow powers now from using the Merzost, literally echoing the fact that without the Darkling she has no balance.
So I hope that in the future (if the series is renewed) that they will have scenes together again and that Alina will in fact attend her second in quotes "death" and that, it will be a goodbye poignant between the two, worthy of the book.
Because, impossible to convince me that their story is definitely over after this fucking finale. I loved seeing Alina love what she did with the shadow cut.
Otherwise, your video is a masterpiece! 🤩

Perfect song choice for them and masterpece tribute. They purposefully tried make darklina less romantic and Alina 1 -dimensional and not smart in season 2. But it was so obvious to the point that it seems that 2 seasons are made by different people.
But still even with all that darklina looks more important and powerful as dynamic than any other relationship.
Alina literally killed her other half, the only person who can really understand her and what she will need to go trough.

I understand how you feel. They stole the moments between Aleksander and Alina from us.
The black and white is well chosen too, it captures this melancholy that I also feel in their relationship, Aleksander is loneliness incarnate. Ben Barnes was amazing in his scenes while Jessie was way too cold towards him. Aleksander is not just a villain, we (the fans) know that. You did Aleksander justice, thank you.

I hated how they made Alina so cold when he die and his death which should be more impacful was too short and too quick (plus don't let me be alone was nowhere to be seen either)

I love your video and this ship. I wish we would have seen how darklina would have evolved without Alina betraying Darkling after Baghra manipulates her.
While Mal always wanted Alina to be the little girl waiting for him and needing to be saved by him, Darkling saw her potential and never wanted her to change. He accepted her the way she is and i think, from all the hints in the books and series, that he wanted an equal partnership until she betrayed him and couldnt trust her anymore
I haven't seen the show but that was intense! I love the song choice for this and how you had Alina walk off screen to 'leaving by the side door'. I love BB and will probably cave to watch the show eventually, now that I've binged multiple edits :D the text is beautiful and I love the parallels of Darklina exploring their powers and morality.
