I loved hearing Chuck Jr's words about depression and grief and how Kay coped with her depression. I lost my wife 1 year ago, and know grief very well, but I have never had a good understanding about depression. Chuck Sr was my pastor for 15 years, and loved him dearly. I have never had a pastor since I moved to Maryland that has fed me the word the way Chuck did.
I sat under Chuck Jr teaching for years I moved away from CA years have past but I miss him as my Shepard and teacher to this day. Im so sorry for the loss you experienced for years with your mom, my father died with alzhimers. I miss you pastor Chuck, Danee

Came to know Kay Smith in my late teens. I thank our Father God for her life. Once, the lesson was on Ephesians 6:10-18 where the Spirit tells us to be strong in the LORD & in the power of His might; to put on the full armor of God. I still remember Kay's words: "When the heart and the mind are in conflict, the will, must obey". Beloved in Christ, pray with me: Our Father in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Lord Jesus, you are mighty to save & we worship you in the beauty of holiness. Thank you for saving me Lord! The Spirit says, Children "Arise & shine, for your light is come, & the glory of the LORD is risen upon you" (Isaiah 60:1) "Please pray that utterance may be given unto me, that I may speak boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador". The Lord is so good! Rejoice, for the Lord will give strength to his people, the LORD will bless his people with peace. Amen!

It is so hard to find a pastor that exposes scripture so carefully as Chuck Smith did.
