I played in a group called, ONE SPIRIT and though we wrote a lot of our own songs, we also covered all of Love Song's songs, which was a task, to say the least. I play lead guitar and sing, so I had to learn all of Bob Wall's guitar parts. These guys were the best of the best, especially in their time. We were fortunate to be commonly mistaken for Love Song, because we actually sounded just like them and our lead vocalist sounded exactly like Chuck Girard, so we were very fortunate. On top of that, it was probably the most magnificent time in my life and the Jesus Movement was exactly that. It was an amazing time to be alive.
Was in a small band in Little Rock in the eighties. One night our rhythm guitarist realized the progression for this song was the same as "Think about what Jesus said." When i heard it I was like... yeah... it is! Dude got two songs out of one progression. Kinda cheating! HAHAHA.
What blessed memories this brings to my heart...swaying together all down the rows at church as we laced our arms together and hands up to the Lord. Girls would sing angelic harmonies and Chcuck's tilted head at the altar listening and his 1 and only beautiful smile from God..The look on his face lit up the stars. I miss them all..so much it hurts
It's been along time since I've heard this anointed voice! It reached into my spirit the same today as it did 50 years ago. I'm thankful to the Lord for this group and Chuck Smith! I pray for another movement of the Lord like this now. I still have my Love Song album from the 70'a and listen to it on occasion!

And you are correct; the Holy Spirit's anointing is irrefutably evident on their music. The enemy can NEVER destroy it, steal it nor stop it. My husband & I are going to watch the movie this weekend (Jesus Revolution). Even in the movie clips, the anointing leaps out!!!
I literally wore out the Love Song Albums!!! Have recently got them when they were rereleased in cd. What a blessing they are. Was really thrilled when their music was included in the film "Jesus Revolution".
What a blessing to hear this again! Way back in the early days! I used to go to the concerts at Calvary and saw many great bands! The Lord really blessed these guys, not only with incredible voices, but great talent to write such moving songs that are still such a joy to hear!

Love this song. We sang it in Aucklands Town Hall in 81' where church met. 2500 people gathered Dan Stradwick our Worship Leader had a beautiful anointing on him. He sang the verses gently, while we all sang the chorus. It was with great gusto & the build up after note change was explosive & so powerful. Such was the presence of Holy Spirit. And this caused us to Worship Jesus for well over an hr with no breaks. I thought the roof was going to take off. We had entered into God's Presence. It was Indescribable. I have never been or been part of another church like that to this day. Even watching tv christian programs. Praise God today, we can watch SBN & FWC.
I pray this song anoints and touches even the poor, the deaf, the blind, crippled, and the abused that are so much out of reach in this corrupted fast pace world. God not only cares for them, but are His children more than world realizes.

I've lived through a tremendous amount of tradgedy and heart-ache since then, but I've never lost my faith in our Father/Savior. I "disovered this among the Mix of Techinocolors (Edee Villanueva) Reunion concert. Edee Villanueva and the Technicolors was a popular band in the Philippines (rich kids from American School playing Shadows, Beach Boys and Beatle songs). They reunited in 1993. I wondered what this song is doing in this mix. The first time I listened ths song "Sometimes Alleuia)I just shrugged it off as just one of those Praise and Worship Songs. I listened a second time and it hit me hard -- WHAM!!!. Today I must have played it more than 50x with prayerful tears each time.

I was blessed to personally witness all of God's work through Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa from the very beginning in 1967.

Oh my Goodness! Thank you! It has been 45 years since I went to Calvary Chapel to join in the musical worship of our Father above! I've lived through a tremendous amount of tradgedy and heart-ache since then, but I've never lost my faith in our Father/Savior. I'm just glad I found this great music from long ago and it gave me strength to continue! I only wish I could go back to that day, but all good.. Thank you again!
I "disovered this among the Mix of Techinocolors (Edee Villanueva) Reunion concert. Edee Villanueva and the Technicolors was a popular band in the Philippines (rich kids from American School playing Shadows, Beach Boys and Beatle songs). They reunited in 1993.
I wondered what this song is doing in this mix. The first time I listened ths song "Sometimes Alleuia)I just shrugged it off as just one of those Praise and Worship Songs. I listened a second time and it hit me hard -- WHAM!!!. Today I must have played it more than 50x with prayerful tears each time.
