First few rolls through the Mamiya RB67 medium format camera

  • I shot 4 rolls through this camera since picking it up in September of 2023. Doesn't sound like a lot, I know....but it's a heavy camera that makes it harder to shoot with when you are strapped for time! Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this quick video.

    3:05 As much as these gas stations shots have become cliché, this one is really, REALLY good!

      Thanks! I was shooting a convenience store project, and the gas station was to my left. When i saw the sky go like that, i just had to capture it!

      Thank you! Filmed a little something cool, last night. As soon as i get the rolls finished and developed, i can put it all together!

    Odd to think you have 36? chances at a great photo on 35mm film compared to digitals endless numbers . "Film's results seem to be warmer. I appreciate both , just sometimes film's results are better, more human.

      With medium format you have a lot less. This camera with a 6x7 size, you only get 10 shots per roll. So you really make those shots count (unless you have a lot of money haha)
      I have come to prefer film because of how it shows the scene. It has soul.
