Hi, I'm Janine! I’m a photographer and a busy mom to a little boy, but when I have time, I love to share my photography with you through videos. I also create content about other things I enjoy, such as hiking, bushcraft, camping, homesteading, gardening and any other general life or silly things I get up to. The 519 is the area code for the part of Southwestern Ontario that I live in.

I just happened to view your channel this morning and I must say I am quite a fan now. You have made me now want to take a second look at a lot of places that I simply ignored. I thank you for that. I cannot wait to see more of your content.
@@abchappell01 thanks so much! It was actually getting back into shooting film, that made me look at my environment differently, and i applied that to my digital photography as well. The beauty of photography is that everyone can look at the same scene, but “see” it differently. I always enjoy seeing how others capture their environments.
I think you put together a wonderful video presentation. I actually enjoyed the way you separated the shots between your GX85 and your digicam. You have also taught me to never the under estimate the power of a simple tripod and prolonged exposure technique in trying to create a visually appealing nighttime photograph. Once again you have proven that it is not the actual gear, but the actual skill and imagination of the photographer which makes all the difference. May I please ask which lens you used with your GX85 camera?

If you sent that film out to be developed it was most likely the cause of that thin blue line. It happened to me years ago when I started back in film and didn’t develop my own. There was also what looked like a bag of dust dumped on every single frame with the added bonus of scratches galore so obviously those people didn’t know what they were doing. Now I develop my own and the results are what I expected. No dust or scratches but mostly crappy out of focus shots. (Ha) Also, my Zenit 11 was just a little more than $10 but still worth every penny. No lights leaks, perfectly spaced frames and the meter still works. I also have that Helios you showed. One of the best and inexpensive set-ups you could own. But I still carry around my Leica M3 and Hasselblad SWC most of the time because I’m a snob…
@@ivanmuniz9812 haha nice!! And isn’t it crazy how this old gear works so well? When my son is a little older and more independent, I’ll probably try to develop my own film. I was so disappointed to see the scratches all through the negatives!
Dirt on the film roll, it might be small particles stuck in the felt. So the problem occurs when the film is rewinded.
Film is more expensive than many, many good cameras…

Perhaps it could be shutter leak stripes. You can check the integrity of the shutter curtain and check if the edges of shutter overlap during winding. Or it could be sharp edges somewhere along the path of the film.
@@inapertus i checked the path of the film & couldn’t feel anything. Baffling! But I’ll look up the shutter curtain
