Hey mate, I have an 85 xf I want to put a Barra in and I have a ba falcon that was written off so I can take all the wiring out of it for the xf. What do you recommend for research (I'm 16 so I know stuff all about the wiring and ecu side) as I'm trying to do this as cheap as possible and would like to make the body loom myself.
G'day Jacob. About to yank the TB42 out of my '92 here soon and replace it with an FG. Got the CANBarra on order, Rodshop's swap kit coming in, and the engine ought to make it here around July. The issue is I'm here in the US, and information/parts availability on the GQ and the FG is absolute zilch. I was wondering where/how you've pulled all your documentations and schematics. I want to be as prepared as possible when starting this due to the parts lead time from overseas. Any info helps! Cheers
Hey mate, contact Hooton Harnesses on facebook and talk to Bill, he will be able to modify you a wiring loom to connect up easily and unlock an ecu to use or a plug and play wiring loom, easiest way around it.
@@duffysgarage1196 Thanks for that. Sent them a message on FB. We'll see how this goes. In any case, thanks for the videos! They've been really informative.
Hi Mate , I see you have a b series green top like mine . Did u use a Territory sump and dip stick or what did u for the fg sump and dipstick . Mine doesn’t have provisions for front only dipstick? Thanks in advance! 🙂
@@duffysgarage1196 I think a territory sump might fit , which I have . Or I’ll have to engineer a dipstick into an fg sump which I also have . Cheers .
Custom A/C Lines made at local A/C Shop, Canbarra done the hard work to make the install simple, The patrol dash cluster talks to the falcon ecu and switches it on.
Thanx, very informative
