learn every tone on the E and A string(very simple if you draw them down in ur book) and then you bscly know every bar chord:-) learn all the bar-chord shapes, and practice playing barchords and saying the name of the chord up and down the fretboard. thats what i did. Oh! you need to learn: Looking out for you by: Joy Again. great song with a lot to learn from. bar chords only. good luck!
Keep at it! I’ve been playing for nearly 40 and I’m finally figuring out how to hold a pick. I still have a lot of basic knowledge missing as well - comes from lack of patience. If you’re willing to stay disciplined, you’ll progress faster than you realize.
Much love i wanted to thank you for being a content creator remember ur beautiful just the way u are dont let haters tell u diffent and i also wanna thank you for being there i know im not the only who watches you when im feelin down and after watching u i feel much better much love byeeee
This truly means so much to me. Thank you for taking the time to write this, it put a smile on my face and I really appreciate it! Sending love your way as well :)
You should learn power chords. They’re very simple. Learning how to read tabs is probably the most useful thing. Once you learn to read tabs, you can write them and have cooler guitar parts. You’re doing great!
TIPS! For hand cramping always stretch your fingers and your wrist. Your doing rly good! I have been playing music since 1st and just recently started writing music :) 💜
I think I've been playing for 2 or 3 years, but it's hard to say. Don't be discouraged! I only started to get barre chords recently and they are still difficult for me on acoustic. You're doing great!
@@amynheld Ohhh, I kinda am playing for the same time as you, like, I started on 2017 I think, but yeah, barre chords are really hard, but after you get them right, they become easy (Except for that G#6 chord lol, still can't that get that quite right)
from someone who gave guitar lessons for severalyears a good exercise with scales that makes them feel more musical and less"boring" is to play a scale pattern. like 3rds example a C major scale in 3rds C-E-D-F-E-G-F-A-G-B-A-C it's really not wasting brain power because your learning the fretboard , when you can connect the scales and arpeggios to chords that's when it sounds like music!!
I have a 2003 Shell Pink 60's Reissue Exactly like yours. Anywho Playing Songs In your head (Rock Lobster/Originals) makes it not so Boring? Pentatonic might get Boring? Then Jazz Modes/Other things? Make Guitar Interesting again 🙄 A life long Process. Cat's, Dog's & Guitars Best Therapy Ever. Enjoy the process. New Sub. Great Channel. Good luck 😁
I think the technic is important. But for the first time if you learn it yourself it's hard to decide what should you start with. So i thought if I learn a solo that I really like for the first time, i can trust myself more. And firstly I decided to learn comfortable numb solo from Pink Floyd. It was hard for the first time but i accept it. I accept to practice for maybe two months. Then I think I'm not that bad!😁 I can play this solo at least. And it really improve me. After learn some of solo you like , you can learn the technics easily. And you trust yourself a bit more. I suggest you this way. Hope you improve yourself. Hope we will see your progression. (Sorry for bad English, if I made grammer mistakes.😅 Greetings 🤩❤️)
Your English is great, don't worry!! This is a good idea, I should really get around to learning some solos. It will probably help me just like it helped you🙂
Practicing scales can be way more fun if you improvise all over the fretboard along to a backing track on TH-cam. I can play for hours to say, a Blues backing track in G. By improvising, your mind and muscle memory will learn to navigate the fretboard in its entirety. Really helpful in developing your soloing.
I've heard that Squiers are good beginner guitars! Do your research on it to make sure they are good because I don't know much!! But it should be fine :)
Sometimes strumimg an electric like you would an acoustic can sound glaring. Once your right hand advances a little more you'll be able to control the sound with more complex strummimg techniques. Also if scales are boring you, try recording some chords and practice the scale over it. So long as the chords are related to the scale you are practicing. Pretty good so far, keep it up
Thank you for this advice! I've tried improvising with the scales over the progressions but I haven't tried just playing the scales straight through with a backing track. It's a great idea!
Wow awesome video! I didn't know Player strat also comes in pink finish :o I definitely need grab one for my lil sister:) BTW what guitar pick do you use?
