story 7's 3 segments' time signatures are 15/16, 21/16 and 4/4 they switch between being grouped in triplets and either quintuplets (for 15) or septuplets (for 21)

This is one of my favourite groups ever and it seems like you enjoyed them as well. if you want to hear something different from them i really recommend Splendor & Misery, it's a concept album about a person travelling alone on a spaceship with only a supercomputer for company and was the first album ever nominated for a Hugo award. the soundscape is supercool with a lot of it being the sounds the ship makes when it moves. Stuff like leaking pipes and the engine on the ship. Clipping. are dope as fuck and i hope you listen to more of them

I honestly love this album, the atmosphere is so creepy and bizarre, it makes such an incredible experience. That being said, the ending which is literally just 11 minutes of a burning piano is kind of insane. Like man… I’m an insane music nerd with weird taste, but I’m not that patient.
@@mercurialno6, pretty much every experimental/avant-garde album has bizarre elements, being unconventional is pretty much the defining trait of the subgenre. But there's a point where it feels like a pisstake, this is definitely one of those moments. IDMTHY by Quadeca is sort of similar in that regard, since the album ends with 3 minutes of gradually intensifying static. There's obviously a reason to end it that way, but it's still a weird experience to sit through the whole thing.
Matana Roberts releases jazz albums that are genuinely harrowing, both in sound and lyrical themes. The one that came out last year (Chapter 4) is my favorite so far. Not straight up horror like this, but extremely unsettling stuff.
