In a way, I think Ezra has become what Luke would have if Vader was not his father. Ezra's cause is to protect people and bring peace, Luke's was to protect people, but more importantly, to redeem his father. However, a big difference between Luke and Ezar is the times they found themselves. Ezra found himself in a time where there were many force user's who wanted to kill him as well as the Empire, but Luke only really had Vader to worry about as Luke had much of the Rebellion to deal with the Empire. I think they would be happy to meet another Jedi, but their ways are very different which might cause some friction if they worked together to train the new Jedi Order. Luke would train combat and peace, whilst Ezra would teach how to control animals and war or how to kill your enemies. Whilst Luke and Ezra are alike, they are very different, but this is due to the times they were active as Jedi during the Empire.
I don't think Ezra is like Baylan at all. His association with the Noti would seem to suggest he'll fight to defend the weak from those who would use them or prey on them. Baylan is amoral and has no compunction about killing indiscriminately even though his life is not at risk.

I had so wished that we had something like that, if they had some actual plan they could have had Episodes 7, 8 and 9 as a mirror to Marvel's Phase 1 in essence, introducing new characters with a few of the original cast around, gradually building up the stakes and storylines, adding in new characters, intertwining with the TV shows until you get a big finale and boom you can put the Skywalker Saga to bed and move on with new characters, and tell different stories instead of just re-hash what's already been done.
Perhaps he is the one to bring balance to the force. Thru his interactions with Maul and Bendu, he only sees, and uses the force. Ezra is aware of the light and dark sides, and is able to use both. As is evident on his ability to open both light and dark holocrons.
I think the series has been steadily going towards the idea that every force user we followed so far are steadily learning to follow the will of the force.
Just a point, but styles and ability with the lightsaber wouldn't be "powerful", it would be "skillful". You can be very powerful, but have little skill, and still be beaten by some one with significantly less power and far more skill with what they have. In Ezra's case, as with all Jedi of significance, I think both skills and power are high.
I'd love for Luke to train Ezra in Ahsoka season 2 that would be awsome. I think Luke would be a great teacher for him. I'd love to Luke and Ahsoka fighting side-by-side!
I think Luke would largely be a good teacher of lightsaber combat to Ezra, while Ezra would largely be a good Force ability teacher to Luke. Remember that while Ezra didn't have a lightsaber to use or train with, he did have a looooong time to train, connect and innovate with the Force since he would have been forced to due to yet another trial by fire while on Peridia having to hold off all the bandits, Thrawns forces, possible attacks from Nightsister Dark Magics, etcetera, leading to a likely very high proficiency and skill within the Force, at least in terms of combat that is. While Luke would have had a lot of time to become even more proficient in his skill with a lightsaber, but he likely would fall a bit short of Ezra in Force skill, at least in some areas pertaining to combat this early in his life (or career maybe?) as a Jedi.
Problem: Ezra, Groku , Ashoka... they all must disappear. The better Ashoka and Mandalorian develop the characters, the more illogical Episode 7/8 becomes. The only possible explanation for EP.8 Luke would be a very very very very bad ending for all Ashoka and Mandalorian protagonists. Quentin Tarantino would need 1.5 films to convey it in a meaningful way, the stronger the characters become, the more difficult it is to make a meaningful transition to the sequels.
since first watching Rebels, I have been a fan of Ezra, and probably like anyone who watched that show, was pretty excited to see it's continuation (in some form) in Ahsoka. I think something that causes confusion, at least for me, is similar to the whole "where was Ahsoka during the original trilogy?" type question, cause she was of course created after...so, it will be interesting to see what happens with Ezra, Ahsoka, Sabine etc by the time of the sequels (if they remain canon, which I assume they will)! As far as power...if we take it based purely on the shows (cause I haven't read any of the current canon comics/books) Luke seems more powerful than Ezra or Ahsoka at the time of "Mondoverse" shows. He started his training WAY after either Ezra or Ahsoka, but seeing him in Mando S2, he just seems to have it more together. This could be him having greater control/connection to the force, or just more confident in himself, but he faced temptation to the dark side from not only the Emperor (like Ezra), but from his own father...and turned him back to the light. Ahsoka doesn't seemed to get this same confidence until the events before she switches to the white robes (in Ahsoka)...and even then she doesn't appear to have the skill in the force as Luke does...but this may also come down to writing and/or choreography! I cannot wait to see what we get in the upcoming shows and Filoni's movie...it might not be to everyone's taste, but I am feeling excited for Star Wars again!
Luke Skywalker was my hero growing up. I was 9 when jedi came out, then I read most of Legends books. Could not get enough of Star Wars because of him. I am much older now, but I get the same or close to the same vibe from Ezra. So glad they brought him into live action.
This is a good way for them to have Luke also merging light and dark aspects and not fully following the Jedi way especially with how he acted with Grogu and than to realize he made a mistake with that.
I feel like the Star Wars universe completely forgot about Luke skywalker. He was the original hero yet no spin-offs are about or focusing on him and his story. It’s a shame cause I always got the most excited when I saw Luke fighting with his lightsaber. They need to correct that
Ehh Luke could probably care less. Thrawn returns roughly 15 years before Luke goes into exile so I'm pretty sure at this point he's busy starting the new Jedi order, and we already saw in mando series that he's been building a temple. Maybe he'll appear at some point and offer to teach Ezra or offer him a teaching position... after he knights him and gives him the rank of master of course lol.
Ezra is defintely strong with the force, however, not a well-rounded lightsaber duelist. On the other hand, he was witness to some of the greatest lightsaber duels, Maul vs the Inquisitors, Ahsoka vs Darth Vader, he himself even went toe-to-toe to the Grand Inquisitor and Vader and survived. Those experiences few others can claim to have. It would make sense and a great storyline that Ezra helps Luke to develop newer lightsaber forms that are easier to master.
I like the character Ezra. It would be so cool if Ezra and Luke met. They can talk about what they each have learned. And Ezra can then train Jacen Because he knows his father Kanan.
To me this proved my point within Ezra training and his evolution he was not force sensitive he was starting from scratch and eventually be a grey Jedi he respects the teachings of the Jedi and a respect of maul’s teachings of the dark side but does not get consumed by darkness only as a last resort
My whole thing is are they all dead later on since Kyle Ren supposedly burned down the temple with jedis in it. IdK but between then and now we only have Rey left.
Shame it all ends with the Sequels. Really makes it difficult to watch anything post-ROTJ now. When Luke showed up at the end of Mando I felt like a kid for a moment...and then remembered it didn't matter. Broke my heart all over again.
Star Wars is an echo of it's specific time reference Meaning it is a reflection of the time it was released to the public. Covid was around these last 3 movies..
In Return of the Jedi Yoda says that no more training will be required of Luke. This says to mean he has passed all the tests with the exception of fighting Vador.
but regarding Ezra and Luke meeting, I'm super excited to see this. I wanna get my fan fiction out there so that, hopefully, my original characters can make an appearance in the movie. lol
Ahsoka also has the ability to control force sensitive wild animals as was evident during the clone wars cartoon series when she was given to the Jedi and Plo Koon by her parents
I think Ezra will follow in the footsteps of QGJ, he has an acute sensitivity for the force, his perception and force intuition already rivals masters. He doesn’t have the dogmatic view of Jedi and other classes. He has a powerful understanding of the light. I think he will be lone rogue master trusted in the light side of the force the same as Qui Gon Jinn known for following his gut intuition of the force and not catering to protocols and worldy views of the order.
Baylan Skoll is a "fallen Jedi". He fled "Order 66" while still too young to have much of the real training as a Jedi "Knight", and has given into his emotions and ... certain "ambitions", but not truly the real "Dark Side" of the Force. We never really see Baylan reference training with the Sith, or them as being a guiding force for himself either - He has become like the "Gray Jedi" (that once existed). Skoll doesn't want to embrace the ligh side because of his pain and loss, yet he has no real desire for the dark side as we have seen it in Vader or Palpatine - he wants to become his own way in the Force. Whether his "Apprentice" follows this will be interesting to see, she shows the signs of wanting "Dark Side" power. Ashoka turned out more fun and interesting than I had hoped, now they have to work to keep that going without Baylan (or at least the original actor). (r. i. p. Ray Stevenson aka "Baylan Skoll" - may his memory be a blessing in the Force.)
You forgot to add that when Kanan was training with Ezra on the Ghost, they tied each other in lightsaber combat. Constantly. That shows he was already beginning to surpass Kanan, who was-at this point-already on the level of a Knight.
I don't doubt that, but this video claims he dueled Kanan. Kanan's body was controlled by the ghosts of the Nightsisters at the time, so who knows what entity he was actually fighting.
I don't think it is a coincidence that Kanan and Ezra both spent time talking to The Bendu, who represents the Balance between the Light and Dark sides of the Force. I would not be at all surprised if Ezra returns to receive further training from him similarly to the way that Luke went to Dagoba to train with Yoda.
I’m curious: what lightsaber forms do the inquisitors use? Most / all of them are former Jedi, so they presumably know forms other than 7. They were trained by Vader, who used a customized form 5… but he could teach them the other forms. And form 7 specifically takes advantage of the dark side. So, on the one hand, form 7 would take the best advantage of their dark side power. But on the other hand, Palps intentionally kept them weak, so they would never be threats to him. But this is all speculation on my part. Is there any mention in canon of their forms?
Ezra is a perfect example that the Jedi shouldn’t have had a standardized, the curriculum for all its members the fact there is centralized on one planet and one doctrine and one way led to extremely high stagnation only took 2 Sith Lords at time to destroy them
It would have been nice to have seen that Ezra had a chance to train his mind while being on Peridea. However, they showed him to be weaker than he was in Rebel. I get the idea that he hasn't been training and training is important to be a strong Jedi(idea the new trilogy completely missed with Rey). However, one of the greatest thing about Rebels was that it showed the growth of both Kanan and Ezra from being mere fighting Jedis to truly adopting the force and be one with it based on the believes of Quo-Gon Jinn. I actually quite like the symbolism of both Kanan and Ezra putting aside their light sabers in the end and connect more with the force. Kanan got his eyesight back because he was able to connect with the force on another level. Ezra communicated with Purrgills to take entire Star Destroyer to Peridea. I get the fact that Luke is going to be more powerful because of his genetics and because he was trained by Obi-Wan and Yoda. Compared to that Ezra got his training from Kannan who was only a Padawan himself and even he died before Ezra could further grow his skills. Perhaps they give more attention to his Arc and develop it further. Perhaps he could go back to Lothal spend some time in the temple. Lothal always had force sensitive life forms. Dave Filoni is probably the only sensible writer in Disney so hopefully he gets this right next season. For me at least Rebels has been the best story line in Star Wars of the all the series and movies. So many great characters.
You mean a gray force user at the end. Just like bendu. He used both light/dark i personally think this is where ezra is and ashoka. Luke still is just a jedi cause it is all he really knows and wants.

Love how Ezra is pretty much "Jedi Aladdin".
Have Anakins force ghost speak to Luke is what im looking forward too
not just "born in imperial times", but born the same day as the Empire was proclaimed
Fun fact: in Angry Birds Star Wars II, they are both, along with Darth Vader, are played by Red.
After finishing rebels and ahsoka this is getting me really hyped for the future of the series
ezra is like 2 days older than luke... basically exact same age
I think during the events of force awakens Ezra is either old like Luke was killed off or passed away
He won't be Luke's level, but he could have the potential to rival Dooku, or Windu...maybe.
since first watching Rebels, I have been a fan of Ezra, and probably like anyone who watched that show, was pretty excited to see it's continuation (in some form) in Ahsoka.
Balance btw the light and the dark forces into 1 being.
“I am one with the force and the force is with me…”
Ezra is one of my all time favorite characters in all of star wars
This is a good way for them to have Luke also merging light and dark aspects and not fully following the Jedi way especially with how he acted with Grogu and than to realize he made a mistake with that.
I feel like the Star Wars universe completely forgot about Luke skywalker. He was the original hero yet no spin-offs are about or focusing on him and his story. It’s a shame cause I always got the most excited when I saw Luke fighting with his lightsaber. They need to correct that
I hope Ezra will team up with Luke to help take down grand admiral thrawn in season two
Ehh Luke could probably care less.
I didn’t think anyone was looking forward to season 2 of this.
My whole thing is are they all dead later on since Kyle Ren supposedly burned down the temple with jedis in it. IdK but between then and now we only have Rey left.
Glad we got Ezra back
I ask agian what is this tv-show called, i would LOVE to SEE it!!!!!
The animated one is Star Wars: Rebels
The Live Action is called: Ahsoka
Man imagine the new council with luke, ezra and ahsoka being the big 3
Ezra as Powerful as LUKE! Yeah Right!
People forgetthat Ezra‘s birthday was imperial day
Cal Kestus would also be of age and would be a nice add on. Assuming he survives the third act.
Connecting with life around you is a Jedi thing, Kannan didn't know how but wasn't just Ezra and obi wan
That is how you build a character, Disney. You don't shove an all-knowing powerful Mary Sue with no character growth down people's throats.
Shame it all ends with the Sequels. Really makes it difficult to watch anything post-ROTJ now. When Luke showed up at the end of Mando I felt like a kid for a moment...and then remembered it didn't matter. Broke my heart all over again.
Seems like it is much easier to be an exceptional swordsman in animation.
Star Wars is an echo of it's specific time reference Meaning it is a reflection of the time it was released to the public. Covid was around these last 3 movies..
Ezra is working with Thrawn, and his "escape" is part of Thrawn's plan to put someone inside the "rebellion" as Thrawn see it.
Ezra looked so weak in Ahsoka 😂😂😂
In Return of the Jedi Yoda says that no more training will be required of Luke. This says to mean he has passed all the tests with the exception of fighting Vador.
Still wondering how he got the blue kyber, i like to think that it's kanan's but it could as well be some spare one
the fact that ezra is one day older than luke and leia
They were both born on the same day.
We don't know if it was the exact same day, but within a day or two so close enough.
but regarding Ezra and Luke meeting, I'm super excited to see this. I wanna get my fan fiction out there so that, hopefully, my original characters can make an appearance in the movie. lol
Cringe
Luke is THE Jedi. I bet Ezra is gonna fanboy
Ahsoka also has the ability to control force sensitive wild animals as was evident during the clone wars cartoon series when she was given to the Jedi and Plo Koon by her parents
All force users can bond with animals
But Ezra has a much greater talent for this
where is the confirmation for season 2? all sources I've seen have confirmed only one season.
Luke Skywalker meeting Ezra Bridger is awesome!
And we know one of the red guard was in ahoska
I don't think it is a coincidence that Kanan and Ezra both spent time talking to The Bendu, who represents the Balance between the Light and Dark sides of the Force. I would not be at all surprised if Ezra returns to receive further training from him similarly to the way that Luke went to Dagoba to train with Yoda.
Luke, Ezra, and Kyle would be a great team.
Disney is not as smart as your theories.
I want Starkiller, maybe as a inquisitor or something. But him vs Asoka would be amazing
Reven could easily have a trilogy made about him. Each stage of his life. Make the movie!… or series
i would love to see ezra in luke's new jedi order
Luke, Leia, and Ezra were born on the same day.,
Which series is this off of
If they do season two of Ahsoka, I would imagine that Luke will appear at some point.
Ezra is no where near what Luke is. Period!
Ezra and Jacen will probably go to Luke’s school in season 2
Ezra will prob be more of a teacher than student.
There is no light side. Ther is no dark side. There is the Force.
did i miss a season two of this? i dont recall that the dude ever showed up..
What serie is this, i never heard of any of it! Pls i need the name! HUGE fan of Star Wars from Sweden
I'm just sad that we haven't seen Luke's first meeting with Ahsoka.
Ezra could train Cannan's son now that he made it back to his galaxy...that would complete that circle
You mean a gray force user at the end. Just like bendu. He used both light/dark i personally think this is where ezra is and ashoka. Luke still is just a jedi cause it is all he really knows and wants.
