I have an impression that while Raiden has damage, his moves come out pretty slowly, with his fastest being an 7 frame jab or an 8 frame shocker. Any tips on what to initiate with against faster opponents, especially on the defensive?

You’ll never land a single one of those combos against any opponent who knows how to hold block. He has no mixup game at all. His overheads are slow AF and easy to read. He’s nothing like a beast. He’s garbage.

You forgot to mention, teleport can be enhanced for two bars. Doing so triggers a damaging spark at your initial position. If it hit the opponent, it launches them, and you instead teleport into midair behind them

I love raiden in MK1 he’s for sure my main. It just fees comfortable and the combos are consistent just need to get the starts down and fluent and it’s really easy to build off of him. And I love the orb for defense. Overall amazing. Thanks for the guide man!

I’ve notice when ppl blocking with raiden his eyes glow after absorbing the hits but I’m not sure it’ll damage the opponent even more if the combo gets executed
Raiden's amazing. I personally use Raiden/Jax, because Jax allows Raiden to extend his combos through his close back breaker without using meter. It's like using an enhanced special without having to meter burn. You can take almost half of their life with a meterless combo. Jax basically allows Raiden to save all his meter for combo breakers. The second reason is because his ground pound is unblockable, so they have no choice but to jump or get hit, and when they jump they get hit by Electric Fly. It's guaranteed damage unless they have a really clever way to avoid it.
Tried a few of these today. For some reason when I do the air attack and try to do the DF2 at the end the opponent doesn’t bounce off the ground. Is this just to do with timing or am I missing something 😂?
The best to use Razzle Dazzle imo is when your opponent is mashing when your on the ground, wakeup and enhancing it. It comes out pretty fast and has a hit of armor I do believe

Since the recent patch as of October 23rd, his 34 J 224 into DF2 no longer can connect. The 224 in the air now is a hard knockdown, and no longer bounces the opponent up. RIP

Good guide i used raiden for invasion and had a lot of fun my problem is that when i tried to finish the first aerial combo with electric fly it doesn't connect or just missing the timing idk

I’ve seen just about everybody using Sareena to extend their kombos but you can use Cyrax to juggle out of the Shocker special or any of the starting kicks into the whirlwind aerial for some crazy extensions
Raiden in MK1 is sick!! I like him a lot and especially that he is a God and is immortal so that means he can’t die maybe that’s not totally true but I really like him a lot and especially his lightning powers.
Would you consider Raiden easy for beginners? Just got the game and he looks cool but I kinda suck. Looking for an easy character to just learn the game and be able to do some cool combos.
You use a meter to make the special better and have different properties. It’s done by clicking the block button and the input of the special move at the same time
how do you do the air 212 after the 34 ? I am trying to do it in practice and the timing is so weird I can only connect it sometimes. Is it hitboxes? I am practicing on ashrah
I have such a hard time getting out poked in this game. I don't know if it's because I use Raiden or because I just don't know how to handle people pressuring me
It just takes time and practice to get a hang of the pressure. Once you fight enough of the same characters you’ll start to see patterns and learn how to get out of em over time
Wasssuuupp 1 step me bro ??? Please please please with a cherry on top do a new Raiden guide since his buff and meet move as Raidens mechanics have slightly changed. To get his new move working I find I have to combo into it 1st, else it fails and the combo drops. I've found Mavado absolutely AWESOME to use as you can combo of anything 👍 I even get a full combo off his ex lightning ball at full screen 👍 Ahh man its dam sexy when I pull it off. its like my controller isn't recognizing my button presses when im trying to go from F2,2,4 into DF2. I keep getting the F2,2,4 part but the DF2 transition almost never works. I can't tell if im doing it too fast or not fast enough. Im so confused.

The biggest combo I got on raiden was 48% by using cameo 2 times and 1 bar, and with fatal blow it was 53%, so yeah Raiden is a beast!

Nah raiden is horrible his teleport is trash and not too many mix ups
@@anas-432 mix ups with the right Kameo makes him quite versatile. His teleport is meant to punish projectiles on read, his also got crazy damage🤷♂️

Jax and Scorpion work really well with him. Sareena too but she works with everyone
I played with Sareena so far. She's good for pressure and the extended combos have higher damage than with frost for example

I found a pretty cool combo with non relative strings. F3,4 FF 3,4 F2,2 exDF2, ex DB2
His teleport can be enhanced too, it knocks the opponent up for a good air combo, not sure if anyone knew about it

Some optimization of the combos shown here.
F3, 4, F3, 4, 3, exDF2, F2, 2, DF2 is a 414 damage combo.
3, 4, J, 2, 2, 4, exDF2, F2, 2, DF2 is a 366 damage combo.
F4, 3, exDF2, F3, 4, BF3 is a 332 damage combo.
F3, 4, F3, 4, exDF2, FB is a 523 damage combo.

You gotta enhance the lighting grab so they bounce and allows you to continue

Ya he’s up there for sure on the easy side! Along with sub zero, scorpion, Baraka, and li Mei. Some great options if you’re first starting out

Please please please with a cherry on top do a new Raiden guide since his buff and meet move as Raidens mechanics have slightly changed.
To get his new move working I find I have to combo into it 1st, else it fails and the combo drops.
I've found Mavado absolutely AWESOME to use as you can combo of anything 👍
I even get a full combo off his ex lightning ball at full screen 👍

The ariel combo you do with triangle triangle circle, when I do that it doesn't bounce the opponent back up to continue? Anyone know why?
Ya unfortunately with the newest update, they “patched” that Ariel combo so it no longer bounces 😭

its like my controller isn't recognizing my button presses when im trying to go from F2,2,4 into DF2. I keep getting the F2,2,4 part but the DF2 transition almost never works. I can't tell if im doing it too fast or not fast enough. Im so confused.

Would have been way better if i could see the life damage...everything U did was awesome..but i could not gauge the damage...on the lifebar. Even if i can see somewhere else. I wanna see that bar.

It’s just a fun special move that can hit and when enhanced it does more damage and has a different animation. Nothing special about it really tbh
