Jean Cage Van Damme is my main. He’s a very well balanced fighter. Clearing gaps with a shadow kick or dodging combos with shadow dash are big for me too. And his character in story has some of the best moments.
Side tip, since everyone is getting wise to the full charge fatal blow being unblockable. You can cancel out of the dance animation by doing the shadow step/ dash move

Need help please I don't know how to build hype with Johnny with ball buster and rising star like I know how to with shadow kick by holding stance after but not for his ball buster and rising star I even tried to do it at the same time like to amplify it but nothing happens 😢
Cage is probs the most fun char in the game but it's a shame that he needs to do an 11 hit combo for 25% and meanwhile chars like Liu Kang can do far more damage with far less hits
Most op character had to come here to use him. Been using lui kang but now that I’m at too tears on kombat league EVERYONE is using JK. Broken. And smoke.
Idk how accurate this is, but I noticed I was getting it more consistent when I slightly delayed the stance input. Closest I can describe to the timing is with how you can get away with doing enhance moves by pressing block slightly earlier when inputting. For hype, its instead inputting stance slightly after. Glasses toss timing is close to around when cage starts to take off glasses. Nut punch timing is around as soon as the animation starts to drop. My window timing is long btw. Hope this helps.
