      Thank you for the peek inside.
      I have opened dozens of these Chinese PMGs, to replace the bearings and check for trapped wires on the way to the brush and slip ring assembly. Those PMGs are the cheapest that China turns out.
      If you pay a bit more and buy Xmork or Yenzhou Shenzhou, The 2kw models, you get a decent lump for a fair price. You don't climb yo yhe top of the tower with the turbine. You assemble everything on the ground. You anchor the turbine swivel base bolts in concrete and raise the lot with the guys attached for safety.
      If you want to see how much power is in this machine You just wire it up on the workbench to controller and batteries. Lock the Ysw into the vice and spin the rotor with a power drill..
      Spend 20 minutes going through a range of speeds and see if you find any clogging, you can still equal out the spaces between the magnets with a slow dremel and fill the space with epoxy resin. Personally I would not touch istabreeze with a barge pole. Our forum told more stories about this brand than any other.
      Please don't go carrying these turbine heads up to the top of a tower. Assemble the lot on the ground with the tower base anchored and the tower head raised on a trestle so that you can fit the prop in one go. After balancing it correctly.

    Hey just want to let you know that I have an Ista Breeze 2000 watt 48v. I have also found that the rotor is not evenly spaced with the magnets. I think this is done intentionaly to help prevent cogging while under load. I have also had to machine new bearing housings because of the low quality castings that broke when dissasembled. Overall I do like the stator but agree the rotor needs improvment. They did not put a front seal on my unit so I machined out the bore where it should have been. The blades were a little rough so I sanded them smooth. I have a cnc machine shop so I was able to map the voltage vs RPM by chucking the spindle in a lathe. It seems like they rated mine to produce 2000 watts @ 28 mph based on the info I found from Ista Breeze. Anyway great vid!

      I can confirm that it's very likely done purpose. The same principle is applied in EVs and hybrid cars propulsion system using permanent magnets; They are are spaced unevenly so avoid cogging at low speeds and that's why they need a resolver to know the exact position of the rotor to induce the correct magnetic field to start the rotation. For very high rotational speeds they even have magnets off position on both ends of the rotors to help cancel the expanding magnetic field with increased speed. Bigger electric motors used in heavy trucks and buses even use a 9 phases
      (yes, 9 of them!) system to prevent this even further since the diameter of the rotor is much bigger.

    On a Side node, regarding your concerns about the thin cables:
    You are saying 40A, also the documentation says 30A - but that is wrong ;-)
    You (and their documentation) are doing I = P / U with 1500 / 48 = 30A
    1) There is no neutral conductor, which means the voltage beeing used is taken beetween two phase conductor, hence it's sqrt(3) higher than 48 volts.
    2) The Turbine is rated 48 Volts, which means it's actual voltage output is going to be 48 - 90 Volts.
    Take both into account and you'll get I = P / (90 * sqrt(3)) = 9.6A - for what a 2mm² is totally sufficent.

      Unfortunately I don't have equipment strong enough to really bench test these bigger ones. I need a machine shop for that and my budget doesn't really support it. I've got a machinist who can probably help me out but he's not going to be available until late spring.

    How do you get the rotor out ( or back in ) without scratching off the nickel coating? Do the magnets actually rub against the iron stator core, when removing and/or installing the rotor? Once you remove one end cap. how can you keep the rotor centered? I have read many horror stories of *RUST* following soon after the nickel is scratched off ...

      Getting the rotor out was not problematic, but did require a lot of effort. Keeping it centered enough to drag it out wasn't difficult. Getting it back IN there, though, was an adventure. I ultimately wrapped the core in a cut up soda bottle to help keep it centered and to prevent it from scratching anything...albeit I was more worried about it possible striking the coils. Once the rotor was in the cage I was able to drag the plastic out and then wiggle things enough to get the caps back on. It was quite a paint, involved a lot of swearing, and I don't suggest anyone else do it without access to a machine shop. I can't guarantee I didn't scratch anything but I "think" it's okay. I plan to take it back down somewhere around the year mark and take it back apart to inspect again.

    Im really starting to enjoy watching your content. Im subscribing for sure. Ballbearings, 6205 2rs, two sides with Rubber seals, its in the name, 2rs, i would probably change them out for some quality bearings from like SKF. It's not stronger than It's weakeast.. Bearing.

      Thanks! I'm glad I'm entertaining someone! It's been up and operating for roughly six months now, my plan is after a year to pull it down and a similar video showing if anything has changed or worn. I will probably change the main bearings at that time.

      @@ToysforWatts ive seen a other video of it and it had water inside corroding the slipring wires and rusted the interior, magnets and so on, but that one didnt have any sealant at all when assebled from the factory, but it seems like yours did.

      With mine there was definitely something to seal it up, plus the end caps were very tight. It actually took quite a lot of effort to break the generator apart and put it back together. I have seen the video you're referring to there has to be considerable differences between the way that one and mine were made. Between the cap tolerances and the weep hole I just can't see water getting in there and, even if it did, staying there. His turbine almost looks like it was submerged.

    Well you stuck your calipers to the magnets, LOL. I've done that plenty to.... But as for the blades they are plastic maybe some nylon. Where the rough edges on the Leading Edge or is that the tail Edge, it's where they inject the Plastics into the blade mold... I was wondering the blade diameter on that? Bulgaria is where it's made huh... The breeze had been around for a while now, it may just turn out to be an okay turbine. But I don't care for glued-in magnets neither!! Thanks for showing the breakdown of this turbine, I was kind of curious how they were building in them 😃

      It took a little chunk out of my thumb when it when down, too...that's why I'm wearing gloves in the last bit of the video. Every time I touched something I bled on it.
      The blades are definitely fiber reinforced. I'm really a little irked at the video resolution because that detail is lost a bit. It's what makes the blade looks crummy. You can see all the fiber swirls in it. Nylon fiber compounds are becoming pretty prevalent in high stress composites out of China...I actually have a couple of Chinese bows made this way, and so are the blades on the Chinese turbines I've put up. The Chinese stuff, though, has no visual texture to the material...Turkey/Bulgaria hasn't sorted out how to make them neat I suppose.
      Swept area is going to be just a touch over 7ft...which is one of the reasons why I'm doubtful of the "1500 watt" claim.

      @@ToysforWatts As claims of fiber, I've got a huge box of recycle plastic blades. One business claim it had seven composites in it. I've fought for six years of a lawsuits from a companies for what I exposed!! So I've done what you're doing ask closer to the truth channel, he knows... Companies will throw a false accusations into the court process and end up you having to defend yourself!! So I've been there and done that!!

      I'm sure there's plenty of sketchy stuff with the machines in general, blades included, it's just not been a tremendous concern. Fiber reinforcement doesn't make the blades work better...just might make them a little more resilient. And, in the end, the resilience of the blades means very little if their design is poor to begin with. No matter what they're made of, I am not impressed with these blades. With their surface area and angle of attack and minimal variation in pitch they're going to have a terrible start up torque ratio. The stator in my 700w turbine has peaked of over 1100 watts with 1/3 the copper and magnet material this one has so I think the claimed watts are in there...if this machine doesn't actually hit the 1500w mark it's going to be because these blades just can't do the work.

    so some of our pick and place machines at work use magnets like this for Y movement, and they have a big warning to keep metal objects away in order to avoid situations like the one in the beginning of the video.

      There's a point in the video where I'm wearing gloves...because that mishap cut a small chunk out of my thumb and I was bleeding on stuff :/. I have an aluminum caliper specifically for measuring this stuff, but it's not a very good caliper. I've ordered a polymer one that's suppose to be better. It hadn't been a real issue with the smaller turbines but I knew it would happen eventually.

      How do you know it's happening at 760 rpm?
      Is it an iSta Breeze model like this one?
      What kind of batteries are you using?
      What kind of charge controller are you using?
      This really depends on what kind of controller you have, but typically dedicated wind turbine controllers have a built in switch that will protect your batteries in the event the wind turbine exceeds your battery capacity. For example, if you have a 12v battery but your wind turbine is trying to throw 40v at it, the controller will divert the energy produced to an external load usually in the form of a resistor.
      If your turbine is charging the batteries until it gets to 760rpm it may be that it's producing too much power and the controller is diverting it.

    Hello, can you please help me. I have bought an Instabreeze 2kw 48v and I have a chinese Hybrid Controller 2kw 48v but it seems that it doesn't charge at all. When i connect only two wires it starts spinning and It shows that is charging but when i connect all 3 it slows down (no brake) and only charge up to 50w when outside are strong winds, no matter how strong they are the turbine is not spinning fast enough. The brake works fine and I had winds where it came active. I've tried to disconnect two wires, it starts spinning very fast when i connect the other two it still charging good for another minute then it slows down again for no reason, no break active. Thank you in advance. I have struggling for 1 month and still can't fix the issue.

    I disassembled the i2000 (it is identical to the i1500) and I can't replace the rotor due to the magnets. you can give me some tips for reassembling it?

      I'm sorry to hear that and sorry to keep you waiting for a reply! Reassembling the i2000 is going to be a chore, the best way is to involved someone with a lathe that can secure the rotor and stator assembly. I did my i1500 by hand but it was a close thing and I almost didn't succeed.

      I stripped down 2 i2000 units 1 windsafe and 1 normal i2000 and at first were they are hard to reassemble but the easy was is to bolt them up not too tight and the use a flat blade screwdriver between the cooling fin and tie bolt to move into position and tension the bolt up while holding central. I have stripped them down 3 or 4 times and can get them back together in minutes now.

      The i1500 was great and it was up for nearly a year and a half. I have brought it down, but only to replace it with a 48v i2000.

      @@ToysforWatts Good, thanks! I just bought an i-2000 (not Heli, not Windsafe) for my low-wind island setup. If I get 100-200w from 6-8 m/s winds I'll be happy. Not expecting anything over 200w except in storms.

      I'm not sure what "single wrapped" means. I think it was 22g wire, I know I measure the wire thickness in the video. I could not see what the coil configuration was without pulling the joints out and I try not to do with unless I don't expect to put it into use...too much risk of damaging the coating.

    Made in Turkey i read yet big in the EU , Turkey has traditional allies in the EU so it makes sense, sloppiest rotors ive owned were mws they were out of round , big time and the glue failed.

      @@ToysforWatts hey I have something in-store for my turbine. 😂 Won't need a dump load have better idea. Not only that I like to see this baby actually fill a 70kwh battery backup. "O getting full no problem other ac system or heater on theirs my one dump load." But for real I have a idea for two dump possibilities if one dump fails other takes over and we'll that dump on the second load just gets heavier and heavier on the turbine until it dang near comes to a stop. This was my main worries and figure a easy way to do my dump load. Give me a holla let you know how I plain on do it and can't believe it has not be done before. 🤔

      Honestly if you're feeding it into a 70kwh battery bank you're probably going to have very little need for a dump load.

      @@ToysforWatts here is the problem though that Im think before it may happen is that I do have 50 solar panels running during the day and even on bad days I still see about 40 to 30 kWh coming in at end of sun day and the whole idea for wind is to lighten the load at night time on the batteries to get my 15 20 year mark out of them. Basically wind say over 15 to 2o years will help the batteries out big time over the course of time. These are all lithium Nissan packs and custom 10kwh powerwalls that complete my battery side.
      What I'm hoping is to keep loads on my turbine and lower my usage on my batts as much as possible.At night time usage's. I have two sunny islands running 6048 48v batts are setup in 14s 4.2v x 14 = 58.8 and only charge to 56 volts max and never go below 48volts. What I want the turbine to do is consist push power at all times at night day but if something fails go to full dump from turbine to diversion load. Hey may need to talk with you to see ur thoughts as you have played with grid tide and turbines much more. 😂

      It really won't be a large undertaking, don't overthink it. You can do it simply enough to have two voltage switches and two solid state relays. Use one switch and relay to disconnect your turbine from the battery bank when battery voltage gets too high, and the other to connect the turbine to a water heater element at the same time. Something like this:

      If there's any load on your bank, though, I doubt the turbine would easily be able to get the voltage high enough to ever need to trigger the relay...but better safe than blown up :D

      Define "improvements". I've been running their products for three years in a very hard environment and the only issues I've had are some connector blocks and slip rings...both of which were more likely damaged by me shorting the phases in high winds to brake the turbines. You can't get more wattage for the money than the i1500 or i2000.

      Ista is apping me from Turkey. I called them for some specifications. They now have my phone number and phone. If and when I am ready, they are happy to sell me a turbine. I am also looking at b-creation. Their PmA is super according to youtube John Daniel

      Unfortunately when I created the video the HD version was corrupted, most of my source clips were damaged. What I uploaded here is all I had left. It was very disappointing and the reason why now I have everything saved in duplicate throughout the editing process.

    I remember this Ista Breeze setting up shop in a backstreet lockup in Ankara. He posted a picture of his assembly line and his employee.
    He had about 2 dozen alternators lined up on a works table and a youth, the single employee with a cordless drill leaning over the Alternators there was nothing else. It was all thrown together for a photo shoot. Our RE forum had to cope with people complaining about his junk items., , THEN HE.MOVED TO GERMANY. He sprays the net with his adds and is living proof that if you advertise enough you will make money selling shit.
