He appeared to have a direct plan from what I watched. He only went after the boys. He followed all police commands immediately. He responded to questions without any mental hardships or mental illness issues. IMO

My ex did ignore his son when he called for his dad because i was on the same floor. When i said, ok ik wil go downstairs so you can go to your son , he still did not go to chat after me to make it sound ridiculous. After my mother died after a brainbleed he said that she was hypochondric on her deathbed.
I left him for those 2 reasons. These where warnings enough. After we sold the house he said just watch out you wont snap and do something to your children. I was so brainwashed before but always stood my ground.
It took 17 years to protect my children. Sometimes Its best for the children to see or not their father or their mother just for safety reasons.

He uses emotional and psychological abuse to make you feel unworthy. I have temper issues due to the stuff I saw at my home during the first years of my childhood. I'm really suffering because of this, taking one day at the time.
I didn't realize how toxic was their relationship until 1 year after my parents divorce and my mom went to therapy for almost 2 years because she was brainwashed. They were married for 18 years.

There is no difference between life without parole and the death penalty. Why even have the death penalty if we are not going to implement it?
I just commented above that even if he is sentenced to death, it likely will never happen before he can die of natural causes. I also live in Cincinnati where this happened, Im 44 and when I was 12, my friends cousin (a little girl around our age) was smurdered by a man who was a "friend" of the mothers, and he was sentenced to death, but hes still alive and well in prison. Over 30 yrs later and hes yet to be put to death. The family and loved ones have had to suffer thru appeal after appeal after appeal. I believe i read a few yrs ago that like many places, Ohio has a shortage of whatever it is they use for executions now days.
I could never be a cop, because that guy wouldn't have made it into the police car.

@@dc3174no. Personality disorders aren’t in any shape or form a type of psychosis or fall under the umbrella of criminally insane where the person doesn’t understand what they’re doing. Are they mental illness? Yes, in the same way my depression is. Their brains ARE different than a healthy brain. Does that excuse murd3r? Not even a tiny bit. They understand that what they’re doing is bad, they just don’t care.
With narcissism and other cluster B personality disorders we know VERY well what we are doing and the consequences of those actions. The problem arises in how IMPULSIVE some ppl are and if your personality disorder also means you lack empathy (narcissists) well that’s how you end up with a family annihilator. This POS planned the entire thing out well in advance and did it just to punish his wife. His ONLY chance at not going to prison is throwing this abs*rd insanity plea at the wall to see if it will stick. But It NEVER works. Only the ACTUALLY criminally insane go to state hospitals. It’s VERY difficult to fake insanity. Psychologists know exactly what to look for. Every family annihilator since forever has been sent to prison. He will be too. He’s done.

I probably should have been more clear. I think his "strategy" will backfire on him, because it demonstrates that he was mentally present and capable enough to protect himself by requesting a lawyer at the time that he committed those heinous acts.
I'm sure the DA sees through his attempt to seem "out of it", and will draw attention to it during the trial.

This is a POS who took his anger and frustration out on his wife and kids on a regular basis. Neighbors testified that they were consistently hearing Chad yelling and screaming at the family. This was a punishment, he sacrificed his kids to punish his wife. And that stupid detective that didn’t get him a lawyer should be handling parking tickets for the rest of his pathetic career.
Sadly most cops aren’t properly trained on ensuring the perps Rights aren’t infringed on. It happens a LOT. It’s not his fault so much as whoever the F trained him. The good news is it doesn’t matter!! The body cam says it ALL, and there are multiple witnesses AND he’s not even denying it. He’s trying to use an insanity defense. Sorry bud- being a narcissist isn’t the same as criminally insane. He’s never going to be free again.

I'm a police wife, and at the beginning of the bodycam footage, when they're walking up to the house yelling at that monster to stand up, one of the officers sees one of the boys on the walkway and you can hear him break in his voice faltering for half a second, taking in that scene. Gut wrenching.

Eye for an eye! Back in the day! Guarantee crime rates would drastically drop! But dropping the crime rate can also significantly impact our economy negatively as well so maybe a reduction in crime rate isn’t the ultimate goal 🤷🏻♀️

They fell into a deep well of oil and their bodies partially dissolved before they were recovered. But sure this was way worse 🙄 ffs it’s not a contest!

@@rmarvel169well, over here in the UK, our justice system is more concerned about protecting the identity of someone who just murdered three little girls. So I kind of feel your pain.
Because he's pretending to be nuts and a technicality is getting his confession thrown out,it will only take one Dr or psychiatrist to say he's insane. It's very difficult to get the DP in Ohio.
I would like to think that no doctor would even consider declaring him insane, given the evidence against him. 🤞🏻

There's so many atrocities perpetuated by teens, I feel we should lower the age of anonymity. They're murderers, being 16 or 17 makes no difference, people need to know who to protect themselves from, regardless of age, when offenses cause bodily harm, as well as unspeakable murder.
This is not shop lifting, or even stealing a car, bad teen decisions, possibly dares, but murder is in an entirely different category.
Those poor children, adults and families of the 3 deceased girls and wounded, life has been changed for them forever.
This case still makes me tear up and I don't even have children. What a monster!!!

This man was a known wife beater and had discovered his wife working on a plan to leave him. He came home unexpectedly during nap time and pretended to sleep in the family bed with his wife and children then got up and started assasinating them? This is not a mental health issue or case this is a classic abuser who became a family annihilator when he realized his wife was planning to leave him.
Why is this man even granted any type of living even in prison! Pure Evil, what this man is ! Wasting our taxes on feeding him, and housing him! DEATH PENALTY! These babies did even get a chance to live! How is this even justice!
If it bothers you that he’s claiming mental illness, don’t. He will have to have a psyche evaluation which means the state also gets to do one. All it will show the jury is that he’s a malignant narcissist.
No women aren’t treated better. Diane downs, Susan smith, darley Routier… all mothers who ended their children and all went to prison for life. SOMETIMES it really is a mental illness issue but that’s not usually the problem.
What he did to those children is horrendous he needs the death sentence. Those beautiful little boys what a shame.
