  • 🐝 As we progress into autumn I am working through my beehives and extracting the third box of honey. The beehives are then reduced to doubles to minimise the amount of empty space available to the bees.
🐝 This reduces energy use & helps the bees control small hive beetle. I'm also assessing & recording the hive strengths by measuring the amount of brood in the beehives.
🐝The purpose is to create a benchmark to ensure that I am only breeding from the very best of my hives.
🐝 Mt. Coramba Apiculture offers beekeeping courses & workshops for beginners.

How you don’t have more followers is beyond me. There are some other TH-cam Aussie Beekeepers, how are absolute beginners, posing as experienced beekeepers and have twice as many followers. Seriously when you watch some of these guys it’s almost comical. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and know how with the rest of the community 👍

Hello Jason, thanks for your kind comments. I know what you mean, I don't watch a lot of other people's content because it can be hard to watch. If you want to see some really good content I would recommend A Canadian Beekeepers Blog.
