  • Just because Batu Ferringhi is a resort destination doesn't mean you can get affordable and DELICIOUS food In this short video, I will introduce you to singularly the best food you'll eat in Batu Ferringhi.
    I eat the most amazing Ayam Penyet for only RM9 for lunch.
    Then for dinner, we make our way to the Long Beach Kopitiam for some truly great Penang delicacies.

    Based in Melbourne, Australia, I watch too much TV, eat and drink too much to be a productive member of society. I have an insatiable craving to taste, smell and enjoy everything life has in store for me.
    I have been bitten by the wanderlust bug and find nothing more thrilling than packing my bag and jumping on a plane to any far flung destination.

      A lot of these dishes you will rarely find in Australia. It's actually such a pity as they are SO good I'd eat them everyday

    Hey Tim and Family, great to see you love Penang just as much as we do. Just stayed at the Shangri-La and yes the Long Beach Hawker court is our favorite-favorite-favorite place to enjoy food coma. We are definitely going to try the Asam Laksa next year - yours looked so good, thanks again for your wonderful snapshot of Penang so others can enjoy our happy place.

      Penang is where I was born and will always hold a special place in my heart. The architecture, the people, the FOOD! I am so glad that more and morepeople are realising how wonderful this island really is. How wonderful is the Shangri-la? Have you stayed at the Blue Mansion? You must try it. When are you heading back next year? I'm also heading back around July! Thank you so much for watching and sharing your experience.

    Wow, the way you guys are eating is making us super hungry! The drinks looks tasty, the noodles look yum, and love how you ordered even more food before you got first serving! We are all about it! So great to be catching up with you and seeing what you have been up to! How do you find where to go eat? Is there a blog or you do your own research? That ayam penyet looks yum. We have wanted to visit Penang for the longest time and now we have even more reason to! Thanks for sharing with us! By the way, STING RAY for the WIN! Tastes like CHICKEN!

    Gosh, Ferringhi looks so build up! You like Bandung too?! Far out we're really brothers from different mothers. Penyet batter crisps is one of the reasons why we eat penyet! Poor Mark, what did he eat throughout the whole trip?! Just rice? OMFG! LONG BEACH IS STILL THERE?! I remember it used to be just tents of hawkers. Gosh you brought back so much memories. My fave or jien is actually the KL style, because its crispy. Nah, the red crab still should be a red flag already. Lol... Damn it, I MUST make a trip to Penang. I really wanna like Assam laksa, but I don't 🥺... I'm a lemak laksa person.

      We really are brothers from different mothers. Shared interests in travel, aviation and food! When you want to revisit Penang, let me know as I'll join you. I never need an excuse to travel to Penang. Sadly, mark didn't eat anything but plain rice, boiled chicken, porridge and bananas. He lost 10 kg in Malaysia whilst I put on 10kg!

    if you're ever back in Batu Ferringhi, Penang, you should try Andrew's Kampung. When most of the recommended food were in elsewhere, it was tricky to find chinese style restaurants around. We searched around and found this place and without any expectation it was actually surprisingly delicious. Gotta hand it to their friendly service as well, it feels like you're eating at a friend's place hahaha

    Does anyone know of the hawker centre offers vegetarian food?

    • @TimEatsandTravels
      @TimEatsandTravels  ปีที่แล้ว

      As a general rule, you will be able to easily source vegetarian dishes at almost all hawker centres. What you 'may' struggle with are vegan dishes.

    It was a huge mistake watching this first thing in the morning. Coffee and muesli just does not compare with that chicken rice dish.

    • @TimEatsandTravels

      If you've watched from the start, you'll understand that this trip to Malaysia is one borne out of nostalgia and after the global lockdowns, we deliberately only visited eateries which we have missed. I return to Malaysia annually and know all the amazing places to eat. This is also my sister's partner's first time to Malaysia and first time out of Australia, so wanted to share the amazing food this eatery had to offer. Perhaps you should visit and then actually understand how good it is there and your suspicions are unfounded.
