Its a breath of fresh air having these 3D era characters back in the game, woulda loved to have jax and cyrax as base characters but im happy Ed isnt agriad of change
Loved the fact Ed cut off so many staples. Played the game and I can genuinely see why he did what he did, and cut out so many regulars from the main roster. It’s mad refreshing, and also since we know we getting Takeda, Ermac and Quan Chi just makes it better

The music, it makes me.... feel... as if I'm being taken on a journey to the past, and to the future. It's beautiful, serene, but also sad and existentually frightening. I don't usually expect a game about ripping people's skeletons out to make me feel from the music

Bro the game is completely out now, the game is now fully data mined. Those blank slots are a character selection extender for dlc characters(similar to MK9). There will be dlc fighters, kameos, and stages. The only unlockable fighter is Havik. There are a few unlockable kameos you unlock by leveling up. There are no extra content to unlock past this other than skins.

They don't exist in this new timeline or haven't transformed into that yet. Bi-Han is still Sub-Zero but he may die and turn into Noob Saibot yet, Kabal probably exists but isn't introduced yet, and Erron Black probably does not exist or if he does he's probably not an outworlder or probably was a contestant in a Mortal Kombat years ago and died off.
They are probably not refined enough to be in the main roster. They aren’t going to put in the work making a full character and just arbitrarily not include them as playable
@kye4216 you can see in the past that people have managed to extract character and makes them playable. They have full move sets and animations so the main bulk is already there.

I'm certain there is a reason for the space that we don't know yet because they are making us wait until a later time. Maybe make us wait until the Standard Edition comes out next week so that everybody can enjoy the character.
The blank spot is character selection extender for dlc. Selecting it will open up a whole new character selection menu. You can mod the game to believe that you have a dlc character and it will allow you to select it, selecting it does what I just described. Hope this cleared up any confusion you had.
@@Unchainedful For stubbornness sake I say couldn't you have modded the DLC menu for this argument? Honestly they should have the spot have a symbol that shows that it is there for DLC. Besides the previous time they did that it was off to the side that had room for it. But it is odd that it is in a corner that makes it difficult to bring up a list of characters. Plus if there are supposed to be at least another six more characters then that list seems like it will be to big IMO. But oh well I think that isn't what that's there for but I will stop arguing about it now

Modeling can take days, rigging can take days, animation can tale weeks, balancing can take days, making them fun can take. Its not just "lets make them!" we just end up with MK armagedon again.
The kameo thing is cool, but I wish they would allow you to pick those as fully playable characters and choose anyone as a kameo. I'm hoping down the road that's the case.

Modeling can take days, rigging can take days, animation can tale weeks, balancing can take days, making them fun can take.
Its not just "lets make them!" we just end up with MK armagedon again.
There is literally no new characters in this game, they are all from previous games

If i got it right you can create your own fighter by combining two fighters from roaster into one..

The last character is Havik. If you mean the blank slot with the plus on it, then that is just a character selection extender for dlc.

Sindel is a big downgrade from MK11
I don’t understand why they didn’t just make them playable characters. Cyrax, Sector &. Etc
The kameo thing is cool, but I wish they would allow you to pick those as fully playable characters and choose anyone as a kameo. I'm hoping down the road that's the case.

Yep
I kinda don’t like that Sonya isn’t a main character to play she’s always been one of the mains but the new characters are very cool. I’m not sure if homelander, peacemaker, omniman etc come out later on or what’s happening there
